You know, I just realized a bit of fridge logic. Marco more than likely never got the ransomgram about Nachos, which in turn means he probably never resealed the fire demon he unleashed in the Neverzone that was melting it and destroying its native civilizations. If no one has conquered the dimension and settled the problem themselves, that place is probably a burning hellscape beyond all recognition by now.
Sounds perfect for mining operations!

On the subject of Robot Doppelganger Star Butterfly, we should be honest with ourselves about the fact that odds are when she runs into the original Star Butterfly that there are good odds that after the initial confrontation they will just start to consider each other as sisters.

Also obviously the reason Robot Star is a tad more seductive is simply because two of the primary sources for information when constructing her personality matrix would be Marco and Tom aka two boys who have/had romantic feelings for her.

Thirdly one thing that would be hilarious is how Robot Doppelganger Star Butterfly would allow us to completely blindside Toffy with something that I am reasonably certain he would not expect.

Also Janna. She knows Star well, just not as much as the boys. Also, she'd go along with the seductive just cause she's Janna.

"Ha! Don't you know your Mewman Magics won't work on me, Star Butterf-"

Toffee is interrupted by a gunshot that leaves a hole where his mouth was.

"Ok, what the hell, that hurt!"

I guess I'm the weirdo here because neither of Argidoll's robo-Star pictures came off seductive to me. Kinda confused now.

Pretty much, it would be close enough to Star to fool most people but just not quite perfect. Plus there are things like how she'd lack the influence of whatever happened to Star since she disappeared and the influence of her own experiences.

Or he tries something that "Kills living beings" on her only to be confused when it doesn't work since her being a robot bypasses that specific spell.

It's the heart in the speech bubble combined with the smirk and pose.

Actually, getting a Star Botterfly should make sure there are enough Stars for everyone, butterflying (heh) the romantic triangle from the series away.

Then, the only thing we need to do is make a robotic John Keats because everything Janna wants, Janna gets, and then we've solved the entire plot.

That came off more gap moe* to me than seductive.

*Gap moe means when the action of a scenario taken is contradictory with what it looks like. The heart and her being a "cutesy magic girl" type indicated more to me that it was supposed to contrast her look and the way she was saying it (which I took the heart as her saying it in a "cute" or nonchalant way) with the fact that she was about to pump a target full of lead.

I think it's just that @KitRougard belongs in horny jail.

Moving on.

There are legitimately good reasons from a game perspective to want to Doppelganger Star Butterfly. For one, Marco is available, and the whole Blood Moon Bond thing would probably help a lot when he's giving out information, which makes her one of the most viable candidates that aren't just a doombot for an already present hero unit. She'd almost definitely be a boon for trying to track Star down, not to mention what would likely be a fairly viable hero unit in her own right (even a duplicate of a protagonist tier character is pretty damn good). Having a robotic duplicate of Star Butterfly would also be very helpful for when the whole thing with Toffee starts to heat up, especially if you're able to hide the knowledge of her existence from him for a surprise. Narratively she'll have a very interesting dynamic with Tom, Janna and Marco especially, and she's likely to tap into a whole "found family" thing that a doppelganger of an adult would be too mature to fall into. There's real room for growth there, particularly with regards to her idea of who her parents are (The Robot Star Butterfly in my head demands that she get at least three moms over the course of the story). Most of the proposed characters are already fully developed, but a Robot Star would be based off a teenager, and would have a lot more space to grow as a character, maybe even become her own person, entwined yet distinct from her origin as a robot doppelganger.

If you look again at the picture, I actually put in a lot of details reflecting how I think she'd develop and who she'd take cues from. She wears a pastiche of a lab coat with a science logo on it based off of Wendy Wower's lab coat, she's wearing an antennae headband instead of the devil horns, and those claws sticking from her back are based off of the Martian Robot that Ludivine hasn't yet found the time to put back together.

Edit: Also, she has a buzzsaw because buzzsaws are cool.

I very much love the image and am already imagining the required fight between her and Star when they encounter each other, because it's basically mandatory for them to initially fight due to a misunderstanding but later become pseudo-sisters.

Also I can see Star Botterfly developing a larger interest in science, specifically cool and exciting science, as a consequence of her existence. Because lets be honest she would be the type of person to further customize her mechanical body.

I think using Star Botterfly as a smokescreen has both an upside and a downside:
Star Butterfly is ome of the few people on Earth who can be in two different places almost at once, by means of teleportation.

That means that she won't be as effective in putting Toffee off the real Star's trail, but on the other hand it'll likely take a while for Toffee to realize there's two Stars running around.

In terms of personality, Star Botterfly should almost immediately become a different person from Star Butterfly, because she'll be a pre-trauma and months-of-running-away Star, and though the real Star's POV showed she's still mostly the same Star, it also showed she's absolutely been through the wringer and is repressing a lot.

Also, Wendy will probably show her all of Mr. Rogers' Neighborhood while she's in development. There's 31 seasons, but she'd be a robot.

So, We've had Dooftron, Star Botterfly, Elvis-Bot, and Mr. Robo-Rogers seriously considered.

Did we have any other Robo Dooflicates proposed?

Edit: Apparently I accidentally checked one of the vote boxes. whoops.

So. Now we have not one! Not two! But THREE major Dopplebots vying for supremacy! In the red corner, we have Wendy Wower, a self-repairing, researching, and upgrading sweetheart who's EXTREMELY EXCITED to be a robot!

In the blue corner, he's the true gentleman, he's everyone's favorite neighbor, it's MR. RODGERS!

And coming in from the stands, she's a wild mess of personality who's fully armed with magic AND missiles, it's STAR BOTTERFLY!

Why do we need to pick one? We're Heinz Doofenshmirtz for crying out loud! We will have all of the robots!
