Brockton's Celestial Forge (Worm/Jumpchain)

Which might be modeled onto future Paths via "make allowance for variables and keep plans more general and broad".
I don't think that is how his protection against Contessa work's after all it is FIAT backed now, the previous anti-precog tech he had would of only spoofed it by giving it false positives as seen with Diana leading to Coil still believing himself able to control Aperion.
That protection is still in place and the FIAT backed protection outright disables the power in accordance with Aperion if the user pushing to hard.

61 Summit Confrontations

"Tell me," I asked the Butcher. "What was it that March offered you?"

Hmmm...
How will the Butcher answer?
Does she lie? That might make it more difficult for any enemies or rivals to interfere, though if she's done even the most basic amount of research then she knows there are Thinkers involved (or people who can call on Thinker resources) and any lies will likely be found out, possibly as she's speaking them (Tattletale). This could also result in opposition from a party that might have remained neutral otherwise, and once they are making moves against the Teeth/Butcher, probably won't stop even if they believe the Butcher was dishonest about her goals.

Telling the truth could mean any neutral parties stay out of it, especially if what she wants doesn't appear to impact them, but does make it easier for any opposition to pick targets, but they were likely going to make moves anyway, so less need to run any bluffs to hide what's really going on.

Both decisions have positives and negatives, so it's hard to make a guess.

What I'm also wondering, will Piggot take the hints Uppercrust dropped and finagle a way to find out what the gangs/villains are up to in time to learn anything about this meeting, in a somewhat timely manner? Finding out the bullet points a week later doesn't do much of anything for the PRT/Protectorate, but the same day, or even a day later could have a big impact.
Or will Uppercrust give a call as he leaves town and offer to send an email with a short synopsis, just to remind the director what she could have missed out on?
Petty? Yes. A great way to snub someone in a manner they can't complain about? Also yes.

Well yes but no, because of the specific circumstances around Tybalt including his own perks that he was given from the forge he should have a divine claim over anyone who died in battle, which considering the live style of parahumans is essentially all of them. If Tybalt met the Fairy Queen the divine claim should supersede that of the shards over the soul/stored personality.

If I got any of that wrong feel free to correct me.

Even if he does summon dead parahumen, they are not warrantied to have their powers (Joe probably can fix that) and even if they do, those powers will be focused on them. At the level Tybalt is at, those capes are just cannon fodder, may be well organized cannon fodder (since God of War), but still cannon fodder. If Tybalt can call parahumen with power, he will have to be smart (actually research options and test them beforehand) and tactical about that.

For Fairy Queen (and Butcher) those powers focus on her and contribute to the whole directly, no matter how minor the power.

It might depend onto how you stretch the definition of battle. Normally definition is fairly wide, but Tybalt is a demigod of war, which narrows the definition.

The ones that died fighting Nilbog or Machine Army likely count. The ones that died to Enbringers likely count too, but might not (Suiciding by a walking catastrophe is not really a battle or war. Firefighters also 'battle' fires, but they likely do not count). Capes that died during a 'non lethal' grandstanding might not count. Normally capes do not battle, not with the 'no kill' rule, they grandstand. Like Tattletale put it, they play 'cops and robbers'.

Not sure about this but curious as hell and to what the answer is so, @LordRoustabout?
I know what you mean, I could be wrong but while the Celestial Forge treat's all shard stuff as essentially magic that is only when interacting with the Celestial Forge. In the actual universe it is all technological/scientific if albeit extremely advanced which is the principles the shard's and Entities work on. Therefore in my mind Tybalt's divinity which is fully unlocked granting him the power of essentially a mortal Ares, the divine nature should overrule anything technological/scientifically.
I could be wrong though so take it as a grain of salt.

True true, I do believe what you've said is valid and I'm not disagreeing only asking for further clarification; I had previously thought that most if not all parahumans had died due to fighting which could also be classified as a battle however your opinion on how definition alters just how much claim as upon those specific dead people is something I had not considered.

Ares is God of War and Battle.
Now for context War and Battle mix together however are both different things. Google search on the definition of the two gave me this "A battle is an occurrence of combat in warfare between opposing military units of any number or size. A war usually consists of multiple battles. In general, a battle is a military engagement that is well defined in duration, area, and force commitment." However in PJO Ares once raised a ship that had sunk with dead pirates being the crew I would not classify pirates as a military force but he still held claim over their souls as they had died as pirates do during navel battle.

In the end I suppose it could go both ways and is also dependant on just how much Lord is willing to stretch the definition of War and Battle, If you have anything that might clear this up that be great.

I think that's a borderline example.
1. Naval ship has a crew with an organized vertical of power, a level of organization
2. Even a pirate ship has support: ports, suppliers, recruiters, even entire pirate towns
3. Military in general terms means an 'armed force of a country'
4. If I remember correctly Naval ships are generally considered as a 'land' of their country.
Taking that all together, pirate ship can be considered a self organized military unit of a pirate nation, with '4' enforcing this as a conflict between nations.

P.S. I wonder if Tybalt can ressurect tanks like Ares did with a ship... And of how much help an ability to ressurect military ships will be.

As far as I remember, the ship was an Ironclad, one of those old cannon ships used in the Amarican Civil War Era. And if I remember correctly, the crew was Confederate Soldiers, not pirates. As to why they could be resurrected, it was because they lost the Civil War and thus owed their lives to Ares for their failure in war.

Ah that clears things up I had previously assumed a military required an official backing or support however if the term can be loosely associated such as you've said here then yeah that clears things for me so thanks.

Now when it comes to Tanks and or other vehicles I would assume he could so long as it had been used in warfare and or battle though there may be some sort of arbitrary limit preventing him from doing so, such as even though he has all of his fathers abilities he is still a Demi-God therefore a mortal and as such cannot just create or summon those things from nothing but yeah that does get me thinking of some funny scenarios of Tybalt just appearing in a tank or something. Would his stranger ability prevent people from finding the him with a tank out of place as something normal?

I wonder what the reaction will be when Apeiron reveals that the rest of the celestial forge isn't supporting him with technology, he's "supporting" them. I mean, it's canon that actual cluster triggers with multiple triggers would have difficulty collaborating, so analysts would probably suspect something is off with their power dynamics already.

Isn't it that cluster triggers are very collaboration averse or very collaboration inclined but never anywhere in between? I might've misremembered, but that's what I thought the "Kiss or Kill" dynamic was all about.

Kiss or kill is distinct from the tinker thing. Kiss kill is an emotional thing, but tinkers of the same cluster having difficulty collaborating has to do with the way cluster-tinker powers work.

Could a precog foretell their own error to some degree? Like, when it starts to become obvious to coil that things are out of control, could go to Dinah and go, "wtf girl!? What's going on here!?" And she decides to check if she'll keep being wrong or something, and then be like, "oh, it looks like I can't tell anymore."?

Maybe? that is an interesting concept don't think I have seen that done before in any story.

If it wasn't Fiat backed I would say yes that it would be totally possible for the pre-cog's in question to totally notice and find a way around the problem so Joe before he gained the "Out of Context" perk would of have eventually possibly fell into this trap but now considering he has Fiat backed anti-pre-cog/post-cog protection that flat out denies the powers if they keep trying from even looking then unless the Fiat has a loophole where if the person in question uses their power to check if it only works when used on Joe which would be a pretty big loophole as they would soon figure out they just can't get reliable data about Aperion or anything he touches even tangentially.

Yeah it is a really interesting point you've brought up and it has me sort of wondering if that would ever be a thing that pops up or not, if anyone else has an idea on how that would work or if you think the Fiat backing just straight up stops that from happening please give me your opinion.

re the Piggot stuff although i do feel she isn't solely to blame because of of factors like lisa phrasing things so they'd keep joe away from the prt and all the corruption like how the thing he made for amy got joe the master rating from the lazy examiner, bad supervisor and accord arranging it to get stolen I do feel obliged to point out Piggot by no metric can be said to be blameless we have wog she's heavy handed with capes and tried that stuff on joe to give herself leverage in the form of bargaining chips of loosening them, granting resources, cooperation and so on, that she as backed by her own interlude and uppercrusts (in that example that particularly annoys me where she goes no I don't care about my career for the sake of the city I'll throw it away in a heartbeat to keep you from getting a foothold in the city while planning to get joe a pre signed kill order so she can leak he has one to try to save her career) has been trying to shift blame to joe to avoid it being on her but most importantly we have wog Piggot's current stance is non interaction such as with the rock because even if she doesn't get flat out fired she's done in the bay and only had a week left of which a few days has passed so she's trying to kick things like dealing with joe down the road until she's been replaced and its someone else's problem.

Re: Piggot

Sometimes, when I consider characters in Worm, I play a little game. I assume the worst. What is the worst reason Piggot could have for her policies about Apeiron, the Enigmatic Artificer? And how well does that explain what she said and what she did?

Lol.

Of course, this indeed being Worm, a better little game might be, what is the thing that would upset the fans of Worm the most? Most likely, that is what Wildbow's WOG would say the truth about any given thing is.

Edit: Except, of course, this is not canon Worm, but instead is being written by the delightful LordRoustabout. Therefore, I am sure that whatever rationale is behind Piggot's actions, if indeed it is ever revealed, will be as pleasing and elegant to the readers as all previous revelations in this story.

Could Joe just use that black-boxed household problems power to build a teleporter to get to the area of shard space where Fleet is? Does a family member/family friends house (Fleet did build a base there right?) being too far away to visit count as a "household problem"?

If he really wanted to open another hole into The Firmament, all he needs to do is have Fletchette pop another Call Bead.

And now I'm imagining the Siberian reaching into the motoroid to rip the Call Bead out, then biting through it to open the portal and transform into a (Ward) Titan or something.

That was my first idea, but the problem is he has no idea how location on Earth Bet could relate to location in the shard space or if it's just random, and how large the shard space is, meaning that any attempts to do so would mean going in blind with only the link to his items to guide him.

Alternatively if my first idea didn't work he could probably also make some sort of mail system with the household problems power to send items to it, but that's barely stretching the concept of household problems less than my previous idea

I'm not sure we need to bother poor Tenchi Muyo for that.. I mean, Matrix does count as an ally, right?
Shipping the Product (F.E.A.R.) 400:
Prototypes are one thing, but what about actually getting the damn thing distributed? An item or weapon doesn't help anyone if it's the only one of its kind. You will find your ability to create has increased dramatically in efficiency, letting you use the materials for three of the same items to actually make five while streamlining production lines rather quickly. As a bonus, logistics have increased enough where your shipped supplies are harder to intercept, keeping any allies you have fresh with resources!

Hmm. Could the boundary between dimensions be interpreted as something trying to intercept supplies getting to our comrade Matrix in shardspace?
