Brockton's Celestial Forge (Worm/Jumpchain)

Through The... Brockton Celestial Forge Reference, it's a little behind last I checked, but it's a good ballpark at the very least
88 left, but there is a lot of expensive ones.
There is at the very least 39800CP left, which doesn't include the capstone domain that has yet to be added, and ignores repeatable perks. So at least another 600k words.
If you mean Splatoon being added I've done that. Is there another way I'm behind?

I have a thought of what Survey is going to do! In her capacity, she will search for the ownership of the ships of the Ships Graveyard.

For Legal Cleanup & Removal.

If it can be bought & owned as well as the dock area, I am sure Garment would not mind taking possession to make it more Fashionable to look at.

How Fast could a crew of Aperion refurbish a ship? Why? A mobile door/ hatch to launch Giant Robots!

Then close them after leaving the ships.

I am curious how long it will take to fit a Robot into the Labritorium, can it withstand when the Minovsky-Ionesco reactor is turned on? I can just imagine Joe informing the Lab & Servo-skulls, will they look with Joy? Awe? Hatred at the 'LosTech'?

Is the lab or work cradle able to withstand it?

I feel if it happens before he gets M/E Contessa would tranq him and door him to Cauldron, where the numberman would talk to him since they met before.
Thing about that is that whatever tranq she uses would need to get either through or around his crazy amount of durability. I'm pretty sure only Alexandria herself would be harder to tranquilize at this point.

Edit: Because of Joe's perks, his entire body is basically a solid block of some crazy Mithiril/Adamantium/Celestial Bronze/Whatever-the-heck-else alloy that is both boosted to ridiculous levels because of enchantment, beyond human skill, etc., and has a flat 50% bonus to durability on top of all that.

I have... there's 12 total. Joe has obtained 3 so 9 remain.
I coulda sworn some weren't removed. Huh the more you know.

Probably yeah, but PtV could likely deal with that somehow. I can easily imagine her doing something to tear off that shin-pad he uses to boost his main durability (most of everything else is like heat resistance and whatnot)

An excellent excuse to use his Scrapping perks while also helping the city.

Even if that was still the only piece of protective gear he wears in his civvies now, I seriously doubt it would be as simple as ripping some velcro strap off his leg at this point.

With the kind of madness Joe is working with now I wouldn't be surprised if he has upgraded the fit of that thing to where it feels if he's not even wearing it (which probably means he never takes it off anymore), and has it sitting on his leg using supercharged Van Der Walls forces or whatever.

It means that no matter what, Joe will look like he's posing. He can actively make it look sexy, but it will always make him look good.
That's what I was going for too, the posing is there, what he uses it for he can choose, but it's an innate sense that is always there.

I just think that deep down inside of him Joe wants to flirt and pose sexily he just gets embarrassed because he was conditioned to be the family punching bag in his home life.

Speaking of his family, we know very little about his dad. The mom was bipolar but not diagnosed yet according to joe's therapist. His sister from chicago is not the best. His other sister, the one in brockton, is even worse. The dad is only known to have not really done anything. There might be some actual plot with them after all the ABB stuff blows over.

My guess is that Dad was passive and basically a useful idiot for Mom & Co.

Didn't you know? Apeiron's dad was obviously Hero!

I find that actually plausible. I hate how Hero faking his own death is a valid theory. Contessa doesn't care enough to run the "Make the triumvirate survive" path and hero was at odds with a lot of cauldrons shit. Hero was also an absolute bullshit tinker. Wavelength fuckery is a strong power when almost all the entity weirdness is based on waves. Calling it now, joes dad is actually hero and he used some weird wave stuff to retire.

edit: Like this is a joke but still, this could happen and I wouldn't even be surprised

I theorize the Duris's are related to the Dennis's, since his OG power was similar to Bonesaw's

I like that theory, but Hero was too much of a goody two shoes to abandon his son.

It's almost granted that Joe will interact with them after the Leviathan, It's either going to be Joe making sure they are safe or them making sure he is safe.

You mean "them wanting something from him".

You mean "them wanting something from him".
"Jozef, please just come over we're worried about you."
I huffed through gritted teeth. I had been exercising my magika, and it was recovering, but Leviathan had still drained me considerably "No. I'm f- fine."
"The damage was mostly in the docks. Your apartment is wrecked, isn't it?"
"How do you know I live in the docks?"
"...That doesn't matt-"
"It certainly fucking does."
"JOZEF ALBERT DURIS! DON'T YOU DARE SPEAK TO YOUR MOTHER LIKE THAT!"
I sighed "What is it that you want?"
I heard her snort with rage "I AM WORRIED ABOUT MY SON!" There was another snort, but this one was sadder "I miss you Joe. I haven't seen you in months!"
I glanced out the window as the car rolled down the street "Is that why you're approaching my Apartment- Holy fuck what happened to dads car?!"
"Look, the private investigator-"
"PRIVATE INVESTIGATOR?"
"Look, honey, I was worried about you. You had just blown up on Alena, and then we were watching that first Garment event, and we spotted you, we got a private investigator, he found you and your address. He told us you were fixing cars in the docks. Just for family's sake, even if you don't-... D- DONT WANNA SEE- " She had begun sobbing "DONT WANNA SEE US AGAIN! Just.. Please-.. help your old man out."
"No. Fuck off." I hung up and blocked her new number
"Dumb bitch..."

The Perils of Professor Hebert's Daughter (Albert)
This omake isn't in the Stupid Sexy Apeiron branch. (Although that, granted, hasn't been invalidated yet.)

The Perils of Professor Hebert's Daughter

I suppose it was inevitable. Ever since getting the Innuendo, whenever I spent time with Taylor, my determination to not harass Professor Hebert's daughter in the slightest meant that I was constantly distracted. Meaning, as soon as Lisa figured it out, she started making requests when I was least able to decide they were unreasonable.

My passenger's inexplicable fondness for the Undersiders didn't help, either.

Which was how I admitted that I had a secure place that no one could get into, absolutely no one, not even Dragon or the Triumvirate, without my express permission and help. The fact that she figured out it was a pocket continuum was . . . not unexpected. That she sicced Taylor and Alec on me to give me puppy eyes until I gave in, that was just a low blow.

"Brian might be upset that he missed out," I pointed out. The Undersiders' leader was at his 'on paper' job, while Rachel was familiarizing herself with the dog-food mixer I'd given her. It'd help ensure perfect canine nutrition and also scan her monster-dogs, so we each considered it a fair trade.

Which meant I was on an outing with another boy and two girls, looking quite a bit like a double date (especially with my temporary de-aging potion), when Lisa got the other two to bully me into giving them a tour.

-------------

"Now that we're safe, his title is Coil, his name is Thomas Calvert, his official job is as a squad leader and part-time consultant for the PRT, and he kidnapped a girl named Dinah Alcott because she has a thinker power that synergizes all too well with his own. Apeiron frustrates him because you're too strong for his own power to be of much use."

Taylor's eyes widened. Alec merely shook his head.

"You're going to want to do something heroic, aren't you?" the young man asked. "Now that you don't need to focus on the ABB anymore, I mean." He looked around. "So where are you keeping them?"

"I can neither confirm nor deny capturing any capes to become a source of blood and bone for horrible bio-tinker experiments," I replied stiffly.

That's what Lung was for, though. Also, I think I could just about shrink the requirements of alchemy to 'mostly one man' to achieve whatever that alchemic pinnacle was supposed to be. Right or wrong, he'd regenerate eventually, and creating a racist sex slaver gang in my town put him on the list of 'acceptable experimental subjects'.

As for Bakuda, the Laboritorium was still trying to come up with the best way to make her into something that translated as a 'servitor', without ruining her ability to invent strange new tech for the machine spirits to study and take apart. They were still convinced that I needed to kill Dragon, Fleet, and Survey, so until we came to an accord on free (or soon to be free) AI I needed them distracted. As Lung's disciple, Bakuda was also on the list.

Or I was tip-toeing down the slippery slope. One of the two.

"So what is Coil's power?" I asked, while at the same time giving instructions to Survey on what was off-limits to my three new guests.

"Some kind of probability influence," Lisa told us. "He can't quite force the outcome he wants, but he can tilt the scale to favor him. One time, I saw him flip a coin head, ten times in a row. Sometimes he had to pause, and I could tell that he was having to do something to make sure it didn't land tails, but he got heads every time." She then favored me with a vulpine grin. "But the odds don't matter when Apeiron is coming after you, do they?"

"Not when I can help it, no," I agreed. "He kidnapped a girl. He's keeping her alive?"

She nodded. "Controlled somehow, but alive. I assume you can heal her back from anything short of death?"

I nodded back. "Okay. Apeiron Overwhelming it'll be, once I have day to prepare. In the meantime-"

Just then, I got a ping from Survey. Gully was getting ready to wake up. I would have sent a clone to get her squared away, but Tattletale's eyes widened.

"You're doing something amazing right now, aren't you?"

Which got Alec and Taylor to weigh in, just like Lisa wanted, and once again I was too busy making sure I wasn't smexing towards Professor Hebert's daughter to be firm about where they were and weren't allowed into.

Which was why we had an audience when the tank decanted and a delicate-looking 5-foot-tall girl stepped out, already clothed in the dress Garment had prepared for her debut. Her hair was a mixture of the dark brown of rich soil and the deep green of healthy leaves, her ears were the tiniest bit pointed, and her face was elfin and angular enough to seem exotic. Her dress was a shimmering green that matched her eyes, adorning her and perfectly fitting the shape and figure she'd requested.

While she stared into the mirror I'd set up for her, Garment discreetly settled temporary costumes over Khepri, Tattletale, and Regent.

"It's perfect," Gully said, in the soft soprano voice she'd tried out during the testing phase. "I feel . . . right."

I'd gone over the brain scans, pinpointing everything that had tended to invoke her dysphoria. The trickiest part had been figuring out what could be done to divert her passenger's bio-adjustment and leave it satisfied with her final state of 'not quite human', ensuring that it wouldn't cause new dysphoria.

"Third time's the charm," I commented, scanning the readouts. "Your passenger isn't fighting it anymore. Note that you're nearly as strong as you were before, so there may be some clumsiness until you get enough practice with your new limbs. That said, with this data I have enough to know how to fix up Weld to be fully functional even as a man of living metal, so you're paid up in full."

"Fully-" Lisa said, before blinking. "Wait, how can he become a father?!"

I shot her a look. "Assuming it works? Compounds that aren't toxic, but work with the," I coughed, "assumed environment to build DNA analogs." It would be tricky, of course, but given the Man of Steel issues I was going to be giving Weld a little more autonomy over his pseudo-biological responses anyway. Well, a lot more autonomy. I didn't know if he'd ever use it, but in the event that Weld tried life as Woman of Steel she'd be able to gestate human offspring as long as she remembered to eat for the little one.

Given that he was going to be getting full feel/smell/taste, I didn't think eating would be an issue.

Lisa's eyes flickered over to the shovel laying next to the pod. "Gully. You're Gully! You're-"

"I may pick a different name," came the soft soprano reply. "Are you sure you don't need any other payment, Apeiron?"

"As I said, giving me the data I need to complete my contract with Weld is payment in full, and the theories about me being the anti-Squealer aren't entirely wrong, so the fix was always going to be aesthetic." I replied. "But if you're up for some constructive heroing, there's a kidnapped girl being exploited for her thinker power, and the villain is hiding underground. Right up your alley, as it were."

"Can we come too?" Taylor asked. "We still owe you, and . . . IkindainfiltratedtheUndersiderstofindtheirbossandturnhimin." She looked down, shamefaced.

"Don't worry about it, I knew that from the day you joined," Lisa told her, pulling her in for a comforting hug. "We wanted you anyway, and even Bitch has come around to it."

"Is he doing bad things to her?" Alec asked, sounding indifferent, but Dragon's Pulse told me that his feelings were trying to be a mess about it.

"Yes," Lisa told him. "Could be torture, could be drugs, could be something else. Coil makes my power tell me all sorts of crazy things, so I don't know what's real and what's not when I'm talking to him, but it's bad. Not so bad that Apeiron can't put her back together, but bad enough."

"Well okay then." He looked up at me. "Can we get the powered armor this time, like that Lethe supermodel? I hear Coil's mercs have laser guns."

I nodded. "You'll all stay here tonight, while I make everyone their new supersuits. We'll call Bitch and Grue in tomorrow morning for their fittings, then once we confirm he's not at the PRT pretending to be a useful member of society, we'll hit him hard and fast." Then I smiled at my latest client. "Miss Gully, I don't believe I've had the chance to feed you yet. Would you like to follow me to the dining room?"

"Say yes!" Alec nearly shouted. "Oh, Scion, say yes and let's go!"

Sometimes, I almost regretted bringing sandwiches to their clubhouse for my post-ABB socializing/decompression.

"She's . . . can you transform anyone?" Taylor suddenly asked, looking hopeful. "I mean, I know it'd have to be stretched out over a few months so it'd just look like maturing to Dad and people at school, and you said I could get help if I needed it and I know you meant for my-" She broke off, blushing, as Lisa patted her back. "I guess it wasn't much of a secret mission, but if we're capturing Coil then that's what you promised to help with-"

"Let's go eat," I interrupted, sighing internally. I could already feel my passenger's amusement, and an urge coming from it to help Taylor grow to be both supermodel and conventionally gorgeous. I could always say no, but Dragon's Pulse made it clear that being stuck in her Ugly Duckling stage was adding to her stress.

I promised I'd help Professor Hebert's daughter. I wasn't going to go back on that.

You vastly underestimate the power of PtV. Remember that scene where Eidolon tuned into a danger sense power and idly turned it on Contessa, and it freaked the fuck out? There are any number of ways Contessa could absolutely destroy Joe, even fully geared up, even with all his S-class threats fully unleashed. It's not even a question. Unless he specifically has some ability or tech that blocks her, she wins. Her first real action as a parahuman was murdering a whole-ass entity, and the only reason she didn't proceed to rip Scion apart after that is because Eden's last act was to limit her Shard. Contessa could out-Simurgh the Simurgh if the Endbringers weren't blank spots.

This omake was chaotic.
TBH Servitor Bakuda & Lung is not a bad result for them, although it would be better that Joe just analyze Lung's power, and steal Bakuda's database.

I think that's vastly overestimating PtV. It's very good yes, but it objectively cannot do the impossible. Her power is not about brute force, she can find ways to beat Joe yes, but in direct confrontation or under circumstances we dictate that favors Joe? No. absolutely not.

yeah, the Simurgh literally only managed to beat the Eye because it was crippled. Had it not been for that, Contessa would beat her. That being said contessa's Eye is still crippled.
