They barely even know how the fics are
getting to
their universe, I think actually
travelling outside the universe is a ways away in the future
Not to mention A&T would still be a ways away in terms of covering as well, I would think.
Oh well, there's always the occasional
omake I do here for that kinda thing
"So run that by me
one more time?
How this 'virus' got to our world and almost
destroyed Tokyo-3?"
"Well..." Kaworu began.
~
Kaworu and Asuka had a pile of terminals connected straight to
Eliza, a whole slew of electrodes connected to various points like she was undergoing
acupuncture.
"This is not as degrading as I thought it would be."
"Helps you
agreed to this, Eliza." As Asuka began typing. "So you're
sure this will work, Kaworu?"
"Yes, I've done it before." He quelled. "The collective memetic potential of the internet has a profound
metaphysical impact on the universe at large, so much so that it extends
beyond the universe. Using a metaphysical bridge, one can
tunnel through to any other universe's internet and find whatever they want. Eliza just so happens to be a
perfect bridge; being
both metaphysically gifted
and a computer."
"And we're using this for
piracy."
"I doubt vendors will accept currency coming from another universe."
Asuka shrugged. "Fair enough."
"You guys sure have your priorities. This isn't gonna be painful or anything, is it?"
"It
shouldn't be, though you
might get your mind flooded with this alternet."
"Gee, you sound hopeful." She muttered.
"Ready to tunnel."
Kaworu and Asuka began rapid fire typing on their myriad terminals. "Linking to Sphere-1922... tunnel open."
"Why is there so much porn of you guys?!"
Ignoring the complaints of the Unix system, they got to downloading. "Acquiring file... and done."
The link closed, Eliza panting.
"Well that's going in /dev/null."
"So did we get it?"
"Checking now..." Before she furrowed her brow.
"Ah. So that's how it is."
"What's wrong, Eliza?"
"You know how you can have hidden file extensions?"
"It's a virus, isn't it."
"Yep."
All of a sudden, Eliza turned into a gargantuan monster, the virus taking hold rather quickly.
"Well,
we're never gonna hear the end of this." Asuka flatly remarked.
~
An exasperated Ritsuko simply held her head in her hands. "And what
were you wanting to download, anyway?"
"Rei wanted to see if there was any more
prequels to Star Wars."
Ritsuko simply twitched an eye.
The tube they were standing by beeped like a microwave, a newly formed Eliza flopping out a few seconds after.
"...Note to self, install a virus scanner." She mumbled, picking herself up from the ground.
"And disable file extension hiding."
"And maybe
don't try to pirate things from other universes? Maybe?" Ritsuko suggested.
The trio looked between one another.
"Nah."
"Nah."
"Nah." Before they all ran off. "Let's try that again!"
Ritsuko simply gave a thousand yard stare as they ran for the elevators. "It's that Megas show. I swear to the Gods it was
that damn show!"
