Screw all of you disbelievers. :V

(This'd be my version of the vote. Not much different from others, but hacking away some Niko talk so she can go get hugs.)

[X] Headpat Kirika.
[X] Give her Hildegarde. Comment: Multiple Clear Seeds = Not one Special Yuuri Seed?
[X] Tell her you have faith in them.

[X] Invite Niko to the De-Witching Science Club. Founding members: Sabrina, and hopefully Niko? Mention Riona.
[X] Metaknowledge: Inquire about the Freezer. If it's a thing, warn Niko about its effects if meguca find out about it.
[X] Wrap up so Niko can rejoin her constellation.

[X] Mami. You. Hugs. Now.
-[X] Maybe Sayaka too.
-[X] Check how they're doing. Vent about idiot meguca?
--[Q] "Not you, Sayaka."

...

[ ] Ask Kazumi to keep her Privacy Bubble once done with it. Test whether it can go >100m away from her? If so, make a version with an on/off switch for her to copy and lend us? Uh? UH? UH?

I am a believer.
In compromise.
And superior firepower.
But mostly, compromise.

No, Kazumi Subaru, western name order.
No, Subaru Michiru, Asian name order.

:V
Hunh, alright I'll read through and check. I was sure we hadn't given away Elsa Maria and I can't remember doing anything with the oil derrick witch or not.
This is true. We should have both those seeds still.
I think I'll add a Clear Seed tracker to the calendar when I have some time later today.
Day Planner now's got information about Grief Seed ownership and observed Grief Seed movement.
Hunh. Well, thanks, guys. I'll keep better track in future... *grumble* Somehow slipped through the cracks.

If it happens inside a privacy barrier, then how will they know what we did with the Seed after we cleared it?

Oh, forgot to answer. Rude of me.

Because the Seed will be gone?
Because unless we teleport Airi away right after talk with her, she's probably going to gush all over her "specul friend's" soul? ( Ah. This reminds me of Black Closet somehow. "You can't all be gay!" indeed. )
Edit: oh, about that. After the next update, maybe we do need to do something about Airi so she'll not Witchbomb everyone. Let's see what Oriko manages first, I guess.
Because we are going to tell them? Because Airi or no Airi, keeping secrets from your friends and allies, ( unless these are the secrets that can send them into suicidal depression ) is counterproductive?
Pick one. And please don't mind sass, if you find any; I'm probably overdue for a good sleep.

*Notes that having no knowledge of Soul Gems means Niko likely wouldn't have plans for the freezer yet.*

*Steals a bit of the vote order*

*Also adds a bit for to denote that Niko chooses when to stop*

[X] Offer to empty a seed to show that Clear Seeds aren't unique. You didn't want to provoke a tantrum by clearing Arzt Kochen but it'd be stupid if she got mad at us for lying.
-[X] Otherwise, lend Kirika Hildegard.

[X] Talk grief seed substitutes until Niko wants to stop:
-[X] Potential specifics:
--[X] Clear seeds move from "comatose" to "sleeping" with use. It could help with magic-contacting them.
--[X] Grief normally only exists inside souls. You're an exception, so enchantment could bear fruit.
--[X] Offer advice from your "clairvoyance" on pitfalls Niko might encounter.
[X] Ask if Niko would like to help form a research network. You also want to induct Riona, the soul manipulator, should you meet on good terms.

[X] Rejoin Sayaka and Mami.
-[X] Ask how Sayaka's "clone at school" thing's going.
-[X] Ask to examine one of Sayaka's gems, compare it's structure to a familiar.
--[X] Mention that you're curious whether they could empower non-meguca. Something to test later?

EDIT: reverted a change.

One thing I've noticed is that Kirika interrupted our "share emotions with witches with magic" discussion before it had a chance to finish.

I'm not sure how much there's left to say about it, but finishing the thought by explicitly proposing an experiment where it's done with a Clear Seed isn't a bad idea at all. This would probably go before the rest of the Niko vote block, and the segue from an experiment proposal to forming a shared research group is an easy one.

That's basically what the "--[] Clear seeds move from "comatose" to "sleeping" with use. It could help with magic-contacting them" line is for and why it's at the top of the sub-block.

Hmm. I wrote up a vote that makes it more explicit anyway. (And edited for wordcount.)

[X] Offer a demonstration to show that Clear Seeds aren't unique. You didn't want to poke Arzt Kochen but it'd be stupid if she got mad at us for lying.
-[X] Otherwise, lend Kirika Hildegard.

[X] Niko:
-[X] Emotional sharing, continued. The obvious experiment is trying it with a Clear Seed. They become less dormant with grief/magic interactions - try the most active?
-[X] Ask if Niko wants to help form a research network. You'll later want to induct Riona, the soul manipulator, if she's reasonable.

147 words.

"Hey, blondie. Uh. You know about... the facts of life, right?"

"... yes, I do?"

"Dammit, Kirika. I'm assuming you mean about Witches. Yes, that's why we're in here. Also, you're not allowed to call it 'the birds and the QBs'."

"Cool. Right, so uh, you gave us Yuuri's Grief Seed, yeah?"

"Yeah?"

"Yeah, so. Crazy bitch is convinced the Clear Seed is Yuuri's. Because it's special, Yuuri was special, so the special Grief Seed musta been hers. She's, er, how do I put this. A bit annoyed we're trying to give her a fake? D'you have a Clear Seed we can pretend with, maybe?"
You nod. You don't want to quite let go of Hildegard, your most loyal Seed whom stuck with you from almost the beginning, but needs must, you think as you reach into your pocket for her Seed...

Unrelated to your current thoughts, your other hand snaps up-

The black haired girl startles, closing her eyes as your hand lands on top of her head, only to quickly rub back and forth across her scalp. You grin as you lightly mess up Kirika's hair, coming to a stop as she blinks up at you, half narrowed orange eyes peering at you intently.

... You hurriedly comb Kirika's hair into a semblance of order and present Hildegarde's Seed to her.

For a few seconds, she stares, and so does Niko from the sidelines, both sets of eyes weighing on you, judging you.

Kirika's mouth twitches. She snorts, and you feel just a tiny little bit relived as she returns your grin.

"I'm gonna let that one go this time," she punctuates the word by poking your ribs. "But it's Oriko who's got the right to pat my head, got it?" she asks/warns as she takes the Seed.

"Totally," you nod, ignoring the way Niko is furiously taking notes on her cellphone, which wasn't in her hand two seconds ago. "Ah," you blink, "back on track, wouldn't two Clear Seeds show-"

"Ms. Kirika should get to pat Mami's head," pitches in Niko.

Both Kirika and you turn to look at the Sciencist meguca, who stares back completely serious.

"That would be fair, right?" she asks.

Without turning, you glance aside at Kirika, to find her orange eyes studying you intently. After a few seconds, she turns back to Niko.

"Nah, I'm good."

The slimmest amount of tension leaves your shoulders. As you once more get back on topic, commenting on crazy bitch- on Anri's madness, and send Kirika away with Hildegarde, you ponder about why you feel somewhat relieved, yet at the same time insulted.

"... Wait," you frown, interrupting Niko's rambling thoughts about Soul metaphysics. "Is Mami's head not good enough for her to pat?"

Somehow, you get the feeling that two interdiction barriers away, Kirika's grinning smugly at you. That B... Buddy.

Since it looks like it might be unclear, I should probably note that my thoughts with a "demonstration" tend more towards doing so to the derrick witch (since Anri would demand Arzt Kochen and her running around with a clear seed is several kinds of problematic) but that's the only thing worth noting. It looks good.

We have 3 spare words: maybe just swap the first line with "Offer to clear another seed to show that..."?

That said:

[x] The Phoenixian
Hmmm... that works. I'll edit it in to the old post. Though, if a specific seed is desired, I know a cheeky way to drop wordcount.

@Firnagzen, I'm curious, since we should have the oil derrick witch on us, what's her name?

... What? It's good to have it for our records anyways. :p

Yes.

Experimental verification can settle the dispute.
You simply don't understand how the enviromental factors, the shipping distortion caused by the Privacy Fields, Niko's personal observations as towards Sabrina's and Mami's relationship, the current time of the day, the ship's number of hugs and pats over the last few updates, Sayaka's aversion to whichever subject she's currently studying, and the specific patting offense and offender all affect the shipping math.

The. Shipping. Math.

We have 3 spare words:
Pat. Kirika's. Head.

The. Shipping. Math.

Hug. The. Mami.

Make. A. Chibi.

[Q] Make a Chibi and send it with Kirika. Anri won't be able to hate you once she's seen your Chibi.

Hmm. Nah. Kirika and Sabrina are both servants, of Oriko and Mami respectively. The appropriate offer would be Kirika patting our head herself. Kirika would only be offered to pat Mami's head if we patted Oriko's head.

I'm afraid that if Sabrina patted Oriko's head, Kirika would simply bite off the offending appendage.

So let's not do that.

Regrowing limbs is tedious unless you are Quest!Sayaka.

It's hard to tell who's vote this was initially, so I am just going with the shortest name. Last time I went with the first name on the list.

Wait patiently while I tally.

[X] Invite Niko to the De-Witching Science Club. Founding members: Sabrina, and hopefully Niko? Mention Riona.

The First Rule of De-Witching Science Club is that you don't talk about De-Witching Science Club with anyone who hasn't already been witch-bombed.

The Second Rule of De-Witching Science Club is that if it's your first night, you get hugged.

I see your plan. You're guilt-tripping us to hug Oriko so that we'll get our butt kicked by bestbuddy.

Insidious.
We need to hug Oriko anyway.

We've never ever hugged Oriko. The closest we've come to hugging Oriko was helping her stand up after we beat and interrogated her. That's terrible.

We've hugged Rin and Sakura and bridal carried Akiko, for Madokami's sake.

How will Oriko ever believe we want to be friends if we treat her like this, honestly. Poor girl must think we're still suspicious of her.

:V

(BTW, have we ever hugged Hitomi?)
