Organizational
Centralization 6/8
Hierarchy 7/10
Religious Authority 8 {11}/13
Oooh, nice, tolerances are listed outright now :) Got a decent amount of hierarchy room it seems...not that we ever end up with anything changing there :p

@Academia Nut Errors on civ sheet:
Should be colored red for maxed stat
Economy 19/27 [+5-4]
Should have (+1+3), from new settlement, forests, and textiles, and also projected [+5-5] thanks to new block housing. (same for EE, should be [-5+5])

-Sustainable Forests 31{38}/34
Should be 34.5

Mysticism 27/27 (+3) [+3]
Should be (+1) now, not (+3) still

Stability 1/4 (optimistic)
Should be stab 2

Red Banner Company (Mercenary Company) - Can be hired to other kingdoms for wealth, or maintained to boost Martial capacity (L: 3/5, E: 7/10)
Dragon Banner (Mercenary Company) - Can be hired to other kingdoms for wealth, or maintained to boost Martial capacity (L: 4/5, E: 8/10)
Blood Rain Banner Company (Mercenary Company) - Can be hired to other kingdoms for wealth, or maintained to boost Martial capacity (L: 3/5, E: 5/10)
Should be 8 effectiveness for red banner and 7 for blood rain, per what you said in stat calc convo. Also may have loyalty boosts?
(Also on the subject of loyalty boosts, i thought we got loyalty boosts from subjcts when entering defensive war?)

Memory of Spirits? Rather lovely and nostalgic name, though I believe that it would only refer to the Thunder speakers as we've long since forgotten about the spirit talkers. The Ymaryn have gotten much more poetic at naming things.

For anyone wondering, current temp econ damage resistance is:
-Temp Econ Damage Resistance: 10 [-1 (Gov Base) + 2 (Gov + 6 Cent) + 1 (Storehouse Annex) + 2 (2 Governor's Palaces) + 1 (Iron Age Census) + 5 (Mylathadysm + 11 RA)]
So the kick is really only about the stab loss (and the potential for storm ymaryn to suck econ based on that stab loss)

I do not think we can afford the stab loss at this time, and we need to save the wealth so I am only pushing for the middle option for the innovation vote.

AN will we demand money from them for participating in the games in general or just for those who wish to take part in the Artisian Games ?

Anyway choosing Mass Levy for max damage output, to level the field against the superior numbers of LC that our enemy will throw at us
2 Stab Kick cause AN confirmed that an earlier kick is far more effektive then a kick during a later phase
And finally pushing the guilds to their limits so that we can generate enough wealth per phase to support our sacred orders (and thus generate for LC) without losing significant power from Mass Levy

Didn't we take a stability hit, and Econ damage from the Storm Ymaryn due to the changes to the half-exile system causing unrest?
That was an update ago; unless there was a hidden stab hit (Which admittedly the first part of the update sounds a bit like "very bad rolls on general admin = random stab hit" as has happened before), then we should be at stab 2 right now. Here's the math i did for it: Paths of Civilization (Which, given AN bases the stats off the math primal and i do, is accurate aside from things that aren't revealed until the rest of the rolls are done and the update is being written)

I don't recall any part of that involving drowning millions of people.
If we fuck up the process of doing that ambitious plan then we'll inadvertently kill a lot of people.

YES!!!!

We want this badly. The two major inventions here that could be discovered are paper and aspirin. Paper is going to be an enormous deal for us; we're a centralized bureaucracy and the relative difficulty of getting something to write stuff on has been a major stumbling block for us. Having more paper would do wonders for literacy and the ability for us to centralize our empire. This is extremely important culturally as well. Cheap paper will mean that stories and ideas start getting written down. There isn't an area of our society which wouldn't benefit from this.

As for aspirin, it was isolated from willow bark which they can plausibly find if they're mashing up and experimenting with tree bark. It would be nowhere near modern potency, but tincture of willow bark is an immensely useful medicine. It has uses in surgury, in reducing pain and inflammation, even people with bad hearts can benefit from it.

Paper is obviously what's being signaled here, but there's potential for more.

[X] [AG] Those things are expensive, they'll need to pay (Open games, Diplo income changed to Wealth income, ???)
[X] [AG] They may join (Open games, ???)

Not being invited to the Artisan Games is obviously a snub and I don't want that to remain. There's no reason for us to annoy two of our powerful neighbours for no reason. If it means pooling innovation rolls in order to make peace with two near-peer almost-Great Powers, that's what we're going to have to do.

[X] [Policy] Switch to Mass Levy

Fuck Nomads! Also, screw Kings who feel the need to swing their dicks around just to show everyone what they've got.

We saw how insanely lucky we were last time that we tangled with the Pure. The Thunder Speakers were destroyed and the only reason that we didn't lose more was because the Pure got extremely unlucky with their disease rolls. I don't want us to be ravaged like we were last time. We have more cavalry this time, but the Forhuch have a Military Hero-King from the sounds of it. We need to throw literally everything we have at them if we don't want a repeat of last time. If we don't act quickly, it's very likely that our nascent March in the Spirit Channel will be wiped out.

The Mass Levy is the only way that we're really going to be able to contest the Foruch and protect the Harmurri against the Highland Kingdom. War is coming; virtually everyone around us has Martial Heroes. Epic Age 2: Electric Boogaloo is upon us. Time to call everything up so we can just destroy the enemy and get it over with.

[X][Kick] 1 Stability, 2 Temp Econ damage

I was convinced on this by other arguments.

[X] [Trade] Smiths work overtime! (-2 Tech/turn but can meet demand for trade)
[X] [Trade] Push the guilds to the limit to meet demands (Trade Tech for Wealth, up to 5 per phase, to attempt to top up Wealth)

Both of these sound like they're going to force the Guilds to innovate. Being forced to work hard is going to make them look for anything they can do to save labour. The only question is if the second option is too expensive. Increased work increases demand for labour saving devices.

I am up for raising our Wealth. We are about to face a lot pf cavalry. To match up, we are going to need to raise some of our own.

Honestly, we need the wealth more than the diplomacy.

Just our rotten luck. Now we have to deal with a nomadic horde to our east. Hope the Harmurri can withstand the pressure of the highlanders.

Going for 1 kick. It'll help ensure we get things going fast without costing us too much. We want to end this war within a turn.

Except last phase was the start of the half-exile changes in the system. And the whole thing shouldn't be easily shrugged off in one phase without pushing on future phases. -1 stability on what would have been 2 stability instead of a -2 stability hit is a good thing.

Paper would be a really big deal.

At least in the short term, we can afford the Tech drain. And hopefully the Guilds will come up with something to deal with the pressure.

So, we crit failed most of the non-forest related rolls, all at once?
That'd be the Traders, backed by the Patricians, suppressing innovation.
