Yep.

All it costs is a measly 4 Culture.
Plus a secondary.
Plus an increase in faction power that is liable to be undesirable.

Which is why we should reave uses of such a support for when we actually intend to finish the quest, or can't afford to fail. Not especially convinced that we actually want to burn all that wealth on naval, even with the quest bonus.

It would reset the failure armor against trader's subsequent spite quest. Costly either way.

I was kinda expecting the half-exile to be like the law thing we had a little bit before the Stallions on top of doubling all our wealth costs, well that went far more easily than I thought possible

Going with this for now, but some things are up to debate. For instance, Proclaim Glory would be pointless if the Urban Poor were suppressed since our Legitimacy cap would be lowered. Similarly, Support Traders may be pointless, and the Priests may be too weak to have the pull to finish their quest with passives. Pissy little rich kids gotta throw a fit...

Megaproject Support is very valuable for one reason: it lets the provinces do only things we actually want them to be doing right now.
Under Megaproject Support, the provinces can only do Megaproject actions and stat-generators.

What we need/want right now are:
1) Stats (both)
2) Megaproject actions (MS)
3) Stability (neither)
4) Subordinates (none, only king actions.)
5) International Relations (rare if at all possible)

What we don't want:
1) Study/Innovation (suppressed by traders)
2) Anything that spends Wealth other than the Dam (and Charcoal Kilns because we'll be using tons of forests soon)

With Megaproject Support, we know for certain that the provinces will take 2x Dam mains and have 3 secondaries available for other actions. We don't know exactly what those actions will be, but we know that they'll be stat-generators.

Erm no, we absolutely want the kilns to force the Megaproject Support province actions to go into stat-generators rather than doing 3x Dam actions.

Completely unnecessary. Kilns and Dam already spends our current Wealth to 1. They will not touch it. Study and Innovations...not really a big worry. We have other stuff to worry about than 'suboptimal' study actions.

Oh wait we have it as a secondary...

Switching it and Salterns. A secondary already completes a Saltern and gives wealth.

More Warships costs 10 Wealth.

We have 7.

Dam already spends 2. We do not have enough.

Thus

[][Secondary] Support Faction - Traders

To give us another turn to try.

Plan updated:

[X][Main] Enforce Justice
[X][Secondary] Palace Annex - Great Hall
[X][Secondary] Support Faction - Traders
[X][Secondary] Invite to Games - Forhuch
[X][Secondary] Found March - Spirit Channel
[X][Secondary] Change Policy - Megaproject Support
[X][Secondary] New Settlement - Internal Reorg
[X][Guild] Salterns
[X][Guild] Plant Cash Crops - Textiles
[X][Guild Secondary] Efficient Charcoal Kilns

1) Expand Econ is limited to +12 due to lacking LTE. Cash Crops will make this worse, so we need a New Settlement to generate the LTE to compensate or else we'll be in a very bad position next turn
2) Proclaim Glory might be broken from the Patricians suppressing the Urban Poor soon, so doing a [Main] Enforce Justice makes more sense
3) Founding the March because there's a good chance we'll need it I guess

Megaproject Support will do {M} Dam, {M} Dam x2, {M} Expand Econ, {S} ???
Not quite a perfect knowledge, but only one secondary is unknown which makes things a lot easier to deal with. Plausibly going to be a Plant Cash Crops?

Completely unnecessary. Kilns and Dam already spends our current Wealth to 1. They will not touch it. Study and Innovations...not really a big worry. We have other stuff to worry about that 'suboptimal' study actions.
{S} Kiln + {M} Dam is only 4 wealth, we've got 7 available. 2x Dam + {S} Kiln spends 6, which is the most we can spend (since everything is even-costing now)
Also, we really want them to be spending their actions on useful things. Every action not spent on something we want done is a wasted action.

[X] [Guild] Plant Cash Crops - Textiles
[X] [Guild Secondary] Plant Cash Crops - Textiles
Doing this shuts down our LTE so hard that we're forced to eat massive disease roll penalties next turn or else die of lack of econ.
(And also the Warships crashes our Wealth and causes stability loss unless we pass an admin roll)

We need expand econ in the plan. Not sure what everyone who leaves it out is counting on; just draining our reserves instead of overflowing to wealth?
