Madoka might, at that. But would her parents? It's surpassingly easy to call the parents of your kids' best friends. And is Madoka even good enough a liar to cover us properly? And I'm not sure Homura would appreciate us involving her in problems that are effectively of our own making.

Sure, it's possible, but what does it buy us?

Tangential, do our fake credentials include an Upper Secondary cert or something to indicate that it's fine that we're not in school?

Was considering mentioning that it might not be a good idea to do so in front of Hijiri.
On the one hand, well, if she doesn't react then she's probably already a hostile actor.
On the other, if she's Hijiri-A she's likely to be rather ticked if she notices one of our group doing the same as her progenitor. Kinda a bit too close to home, perhaps?

Assuming she notices, of course.
 
The difference between "short-term solution to lack of time in crisis" of Sayaka and Hijiri-o-vision view on Niko's "permanent solution to gallivanting off to play magic" is a large one.

Also, what she doesn't know won't bite us in the ass immediately.
 
It's easy to clear up anyway, I think - just have to make it clearly understood that we understand the difference between the type of "clone" that is an extension of the body and the kind that involves forking a consciousness. Might even come out net positive if we handle it right, reinforce that Hijiri is an independent person rather than someone's extension.
 
@Onmur do you have a specific plan or type of wording in mind for warning Hijiri about infohazards with Yuuri? Since you're leaving it to Brina-pilot (thus Firn) I'd naturally like to /hope/ it wouldn't be anything to provoke her to (hostiley or naively) say something like "What do you mean, infohazards? What are those...ooohh, you mean the way she gets all freaky anytime she talks about how witches are made?"

Just a paranoid worry... that bit about infohazard-warning and not trying to set up an ambush are the only real difference between your and Vebyaasts vote right meow.

@Firnagzen I'm feeling paranoid. Does this vote give you enough for a good update? This is probably the most freedom we've ever even thought about giving Brinapilot; would you advise hammering out some specifics or a more concrete plan instead of the "Find a way to do X, don't care how" goal? A specific proposal for a meeting, more detail on our opening or presentation, something like that?

The offer is a sorta-trap. I'm actively trying to provoke a backstab so that we can go from negotiations to fight without compromising our trustworthiness regarding such offers.

When I get off work I'll try to clarify that in the vote. Or maybe find something else related to clear seeds, not sure. Whatever it is, we're not going to actually let her walk away with a clear seed, not unless some absolutely miraculous therapy happens. My guess is house arrest and one of the Pleiades drops by with a clear seed every now and then.

I have the feeling Airi doesn't want a Clear Seed more than Original!Yuuri's Clear Seed. Either for the over-dramatic romanticism of "Yuuri is the one giving me the strength to deliver justice upon the Pleiades Saints!" or because she has her own half-assed Frankenstein attempt at resurrecting Yuuri, Either by finding a way to have the Clear Seed Possess her body via the twisting of her own Wish, or her making her own Yuuri clone with her Biomancy and, I guess dramatically wishing/shouting the Clear Seed to Possess it.

And IIRC there was speculation earlier that the Clear Seed we made for the Saints earlier was Yuuri's Grief Seed, it would also explain why Airi was stalking Niko (if she was the original stalker), she wasn't tracking Niko, but more she was tracking Yuuri's Grief Seed, that Niko happened to be carrying.

Edit: Double checking back at the chapter we cleansed the Clear Seed, I don't believe the name of the Clear Seed was ever mentioned. Its name might give us a clue as to whether or not it was Yuuri's or not.
