@Academia Nut - could I at least get an "acknowledged" about my front page post? You don't have to go fix it immediately if you have other things to do, but it is rather frustrating to spend time writing something like that up and then not even getting a cursory response.

Reforms usually address an issue which had been lingering but nobody knew how to solve. Usually important issues adding to overall stress levels. i.e. right now we had the option to reform our military structure to restore state monopoly on force or the option to reform our military structure to give more individuals access to military(and thus political) power.

Congratulations! You have triggered the Reform Event chain!

Try to find out how to solve the problems or face EXPLOSIONS!

Also, forest use hasn't been updated for the Ironworks, I think.

@AcademiaNut, have we paid the Gilded Age stability loss for this turn yet? If the Gilded Age ends before we reach next turn will it still cost us stab?

You paid for it at the start of the turn, and unless you take some major Wealth boosting actions at the mid-turn you are likely going to drop out of your Gilded Age.

Woo! We're back down to just the Second Sons and random plagues then with the regional liquidity crisis delayed for the time being. I feel a lot more comfortable about taking stab hits now.

Oh! Also. We should only be at 17 EE, not 19. Unless we got Econ or EE from Ironworks somehow, our LTE should be 22 INCLUDING the baths & aqueduct bonus.

We don't actually do that much trade. Right now, we are getting what, 3 Wealth/turn from trade? I am much more worried bout our other problems.

We have 10 Leading or Dominant goods, we have Significant in 2 more. We just finished the Ironworks which explicitly doubled the impact of our Iron dominance.

We are totally a trade power; the Trelli had 13 Leading or Dominant trade goods (mostly through controlling our or the Khemetri's trade) at their peak. We are very nearly their equal, it's just not our only facet. It is an important one, however.

Screw it, maximum shiny things mode. We won't die from -1 Stability, and we have the midturn coming up for enforce justice and econ expansion. And that mystery box tempts and taunts me.

Actually... we could.

We're sitting at -1 right now. Next turn, Gilded Age could mean we lose 1 Stability (unlikely, admittedly) but we're going to lose 1 to the Second Sons crisis. We'll probably need to{S} Suppress Faction - Traders or Yeoman too, which costs stability as well (or commit to conquest or civil war). From there, if the Western Ymaryn suck up any Econ beyond the minimum (we have 5, 4 is the minimum) we are going to starve and that's another -1. Oops, we just hit -4 and explode. We have to be very careful with our stability. Any hits mean we're likely to starve as the Western Ymaryn suck up our tiny pool of Econ and take further hits.

Hey, @Academia Nut will we have the opportunity to [M] Enforce Justice or {S} Proclaim Glory + {S} Restoration of Order as an action during the Mid-Turn?

Either way, we also may need to consider PSN to [M] Expand Econ again. We are very close to starvation currently. Stability and Econ are critically low.

We may be forced to conquer the Trelli too as we cannot afford the Stability loss of suppressing the Traders. Losing 2 stability would give the Western Ymaryn enough refugees to send us into starvation.

What would the steel fist legacy mean? Any indications/ideas?

Some type of Causus Belli generator.

@Academia Nut shouldn't the Yeoman's power currently be 2? I thought we Suppressed them last turn?

Let me ask one thing... we and Western Ymarin are the Vampires of the Area... so let's see a victim happens and both of us have good stability... so the victim will be sucked by both?
...Goddammit, now I have an image if this head of Ymaryn-chan and Western Ymaryn-chan being part of some poor hapless sod's harem anime as vampire twins or something.

"Khem-kuuuuun, you love ME more, right?"

"No no no, he loves ME more! Right, Khem-kun?"

"Ha....help... dying..."

"Stop struggling Khem~"

"...please..."

I'm horrible.

Except, the Trelli had RoG, which makes all the difference. It is literally a twofold change in trade effects. Without it, I'm significantly less inclined to pursue trade.
Eh, the major likely source for refugees is Trelli, and unless there's a "gain Trelli's loyalty due to feeding them" option (unlikely due to our entirely avoidable famine) I think we'll be grabbing the minimum this turn.
Even the minimum costs 0-1 stability.

With RoG rid off, we can finally pursue trade dominance without fear, if we don't already have a lot to worry about on our plate.

The minimum is technically never up for vote, and it's "gain two free econ."

For us to take a stability hit, Trelli has to have lost three or four stability in one turn, because we're dividing the drain with Western Ymaryn and I'm pretty sure they get first dibs for being closer. (That's assuming that the Trelli don't border anyone else with a PiA equivalent, and that we're not getting limits on the number of refugees showing up because of distance.)

Technically, Trelli could have lost that much in one turn, but this wasn't the first turn of the crisis, and Trelli collapsing means everyone else isn't, this turn - so I don't think there's much risk.

I mean, I'm expecting to get some from the pirates if nothing else. There are still some minors and stuff along the coast, right?
