I mean, don't get me wrong but do we know if Maya has her parent's permission to learn how to fight with ki? Now that they know ki is a thing and that she used it to fight aliens.

Even if she didn't, I would still say we train her because it is likely she would get involved even if told not to. Jaron is the same. Remember our first meeting? He won't stay uninvolved if the aliens attack Garenhuld.

The issue isn't he being a boy, its his mother being Dandeer. If Maya was a boy and Jaron a girl we'd probably still be in this situation. Only with a little less teasing.
 
Really like this write in, hoping this will be the start of things getting better among the leading families. Probably optimistic of me but I'm hoping this'll let us avoid conflict and escalation later.

More totally legit techniques:
Hammerhead (As a Tien stylist, I'm sure we'll be able to figure out what the hell he was thinking)
Volleyball Attack (Again, Tien's creativity is a shining example to us all)
Recoome Kick (It's a knee strike that's secretly a kick!)
Imprisonment Ball (This one's actually legit vs groups of people with a leader)
Electric Kamehameha (I think it's just a fancier Kamehameha, possibly drawing on the Thunder Shock Surprise?)

The wiki's compulsive need to put a name to every sub-type of punch is not reflective of this quest. ;) Thus:

After image technique? I think it creates an actual illusion. There are a few times it gets used like that.

Just moving really fast. Right there in the description. "Afterimage Technique (残像拳, Zanzōken, lit. "Afterimage Fist") is an ability to move so swiftly that an image of the user is left behind."
 
Actually, I think the volleybal attack is from the manga. I think it was used in the 22nd tournament but I would have to check to be sure.

Edit: Heck, checking the link provided, the images are even from the 22nd tournament final. I knew I had read it there, it was a pretty distinctive technique like Goku's janken-ken and Roshi's and Ginga's Drunken fist.

[X] Fuck. Dandeer. You've tiptoed around her for long enough. Her son has ki, and he's on-camera as somebody who helped take Murk down. You have all the justification you need to teach him how to fight with ki. Teach Jaron, and damn Dandeer's expressed feelings on the matter.

Because people expecting Dandeer to be reasonable of all things isn't going to work.
