[X] Fuck. Dandeer. You've tiptoed around her for long enough. Her son has ki, and he's on-camera as somebody who helped take Murk down. You have all the justification you need to teach him how to fight with ki. Teach Jaron, and damnDandeer's expressed feelings on the matter.

Honestly, if A Cause reaches a point where it's preventing us from using our diplomacy-specced character to diplomance Dandeer into a more reasonable stance, it's time for A Cause to evolve a bit. Protector, and Open-Handed (Armed?) before it, already pointed in the right direction here. As Kakara matures, she should be able to comprehend the idea of being polite to people whose actions she despises, as opposed to hissing and spitting at them.
I wanna see a social evolution of A Cause.

[X] The time has finally come. You need to talk to Dandeer again.
-[X] Ask Dad and Grandma for advice. Doubles as insurance as they know what's happening.
-[X] Also, double-check that Jaron actually got permission for the training. If he didn't, you'll offer a formal apology to Dandeer, because whatever your feelings for her are, it was genuinely negligent on your part.
-[X] Talk to Dandeer in private about Jaron and his wish to fight.
--[X] Also ask her about her long term plan. The current situation does not seem tenable long term. Jaron can't be kept in an infantile state of dependency forever, and the Vegetans obviously aren't happy with him not being allowed to train.

[X] Follow the way of your ancestors. Set up a televised fighting tournament with several monitored practice/learning sessions leading up to the main battles. Like Aramian Idol for fighting. Have Jaron join in and try for world champion. The best way to learn is via real fighting anyways.

[X] *Take a long, deep breath* You hate Dandeer, Dandeer hates you. Surprisingly (not) You know that she hates you and she knows that you hate her. But her son wants to learn how to fight. Not her first born son, but her second son. And as much as you want to make that decision... you really can't not without putting everything that you have been working towards in danger. Which means that you are being put in a terrible, horrible position. You need to talk to Dandeer about this. Both in the Masque and out of it. You hate this idea, but this is the best way to handle things because she does not handle even the image of things not being run by her. And the worst part, if we refuse to do this... Jaron will go off and do this on his own. Dandeer has to understand that... Right? He is doing this because he wants to be a good son. So either she has to convince him not to do this... or she has to let him do this. The other option is to reveal that she knows about Ki and Magic, because Jaron is figuring it out on his own, and if he decides that he is going to do this... then he is going to do this unless she actually stops him.

Yeah, don't like the leading talk to dandeer plan.

This might not be the best planned course of action.

But the alternative, that of publically spitting on Dandeer's face...is just retarded.

EDIT: Fuck it though, THIS is the one that I really want to win. I am just no tsure it will actually do so and I would really rather the fuck Dandeer vote didn't.

But what the hell.

EDIT 2: Went back to the original one because I much rather that one win then fucking us all over.

I personally feel that this vote is way too long and has too much fluff.

I personally feel that this vote is way too long and has too much fluff.

It also tells her we want to train his son (which she doesn't want) because we think he will disobey her and fight the aliens (which for her means we tell her that he is a bad child) while talking to her like an equal (which we aren't because of our age).

It is only missing us blaspheming in front of her while turning super saiyan to push all her (known) negative levers.

The vote isn't over yet. I am voting to talk to her. I really want to find out what her endgame is. even if it is a long shot.

What makes you think she has an endgame, much less one she'll tell her primary threat? She's not an ambitious mastermind carefully assembling a decades-spanning plot. She's a desperate victim who resorted to desperate means to escape her abuser and craft the happy family she always wanted. Now she'll fight to keep it that way even if it's doomed, because the alternative is going back to the way things were and every second she can delay that at any cost is a win.

If that is the case then all we have to do is give her a way out.

If that is the case then all we have to do is give her a way out.

Which the thread hard vetoed when it went full hate and which would almost inevitably involve breaking up her perfect little escape in any case. If the thread isn't even willing to talk to Kakara's father, the guy with a defining characteristic of fixing his mistakes, why would it risk the plot to try reasoning with the witch?

She's going to cling to her family as the world crashes down around her and rely on Berra to keep her alive. It may destroy the clan and plunge the saiyans into an existentially dangerous civil war, bit as long as she's got her perfect family she won't care.

There are solutions. The plan could be to keep Vegeta sealed and give her Jaron to go live a human life in exile, but the thread has laid exactly zero groundwork for that and a spontaneous, alarming conversation with somebody who openly hates and terrifies her resulting from an unrelated midturn action on the eve of an alien invasion is the wrong time to start.

what.

She wants a perfect family. With no insane members, well behaved children that obey her and don't question her and that are safe and not fighting. If you want her to be happy, just reject training Jaron. That runs the problem of him not being able to defend himself though.

You might be better served pointing out that fighting is not just a saiyan thing by comparing him to our human ancestors did it too without obsessing with it, how happy he is practising with ki and commend her on raising a son with such a firm moral compass. Pushes the religious lever, assures her the seal is working, makes her remember when Jaffur was a happy child before the sundering and pushes her belief that a child's behaviour is due to their parents raising them in a good way, making emphasis on the lessons of justice and duty she taught her by following our ancestor's examples. Compare him to Gohan if that doesn't work, lay it thick.

Come on, at least think on what we know moves her when making our argument. You can't use a normal approach and expect to success because she is not thinking like a normal person.

I personally would love to ask Dad if he can keep a secret then if he argee tell him how the seal is really working.

That probably would have been a viable approach if it had been tried before Kakara committed herself and half of her civilization to high treason. The thread decided to go full hate and reject everybody involved in the sealing instead and now the stakes are a little different. Now, if something goes wrong it gets her and lots of other people publicly executed.

That is an overreaction. Berra wouldn't execute Kakara over that. Not only does he care for her but the resulting uprising if he did would end our society, not to mention that said conspiracy has 3 of the remaining super saiyans. We have enough power to implement it now and get away with it, we are taking so much time in order to minimize the number of deaths and the resulting chaos.

If Berra and Dandeer knew of the conspiracy? Dandeer would be forced to act to secure Jaffur, Yammar would proclaim Dandeer's regency as a farce causing most of the Vegetan to join his cause then Berra would move to stop him only to be stopped by three super saiyans. Clan Goku would split between the ones loyal to Berra and the clans grandma already convinced, who would join most of the Vegetans. Grandma would use her powers as elder to intervene Berra's rule legally, he would refuse then a fight would break out. Since none in our family wants to kill each other and it is 3 vs 1 Berra would be subdued at which point grandma would declare that clan Goku is not to intervene in Vegetan affairs as is the law. In the end, it would depend on how effective Yammar is in getting Jaron but we wouldn't be punished.

All this manouvering is to eliminate his options and make the transition assmooth as possible but if it happened now we would still likely succeed, just with more fighting before it is resolved. For that, we are freeing Jaffur in secret and then have all the conspirators stand in front of Berra and let him realize how much political capital he is matchef against.
