I don't know if we want to take this, the clerk will take over the next few turns and we might lose our chance at punishing the Highland Kingdom.
I prefer it when AN takes decisions out of the hands of the players. I was about to vote for heroic artisan, to ensure steel, but hadn't thought of this.

We can still decide to go to war. The heroic administrator just makes sure we don't fuck up resettling veterans, or war taxes, or one of the thousand things the people in this thread suffer Dunning Kruger about.

I guess I'm just... annoyed. We threw everything we had at them and all we managed to do was match them. I know that there were extenuating circumstances involved, and that the dice were cruel to us, and that pretty much everyone was throwing around heroes like they were candy, but it still grates.

It's time to conquer the locals who backstabbed us. They're clearly asking for it.

Changing vote. Time to double down on the Riddle of Steel.

Latest Tally.

Why are people going for Admin? That is not our heir and would not take over our turn. Just like Yenyna, they would assist, not be our base stats.

We have various nomads on the horizon integrate gulvalley and choose vassal loyalty to keep the Stallions in hand.

I just realized.

We are creating the Ymaryn version of Cinderella (or other gotta find the one story).
The kingdom is searching far and wide to find someone for the sake of the young hero(ine). Granted ,were looking for a particular Spirit in the person instead of shoe size, but I think I prefer this way.

I mean, it's not love-romantic, or fairytale-esque, but neither are the People, so it sort of works out.

Definitely need this. No strong feelings on other options that aren't already winning.
Adhoc vote count started by redzonejoe on Jul 30, 2017 at 10:46 PM, finished with 86 posts and 29 votes.

Do recall, with integrating the Stallions, that they are still our forward line against the nomads, who are currently in an upswing on the horde scale. Gulvalley literally can't get any bigger, or at least it's implied as such in the update, and will likely not give us anymore benefits as a colony. It would probably be better to pull them into the fold proper soon.

Also, consider good synergies when voting. An artisan genius should go hand in hand with a double-tech-boost for winning the war (since the dice explode, and a genius level artisan would make them explode even more), for example. There's so many categories this time it's hard to track the best synergies outright, but that one stood out especially strongly for me.

I would go for defence and vassal loyalty rather then infra
Why?

Vassal Loyalty doesn't make any sense at all at this point in time. All of our vassals are already loyal to us, 5/5 for everyone but the Heaven's Hawks (4/5)

Defence isn't a bad choice, but Infrastructure is a lot more important to us right now. We've got at least a couple generations until someone decides to fight us again, and Infrastructure gives us more cities from Aqueducts (which in turn means more Passive Policies) or stat drips from Salterns and all sorts of other really nice benefits. It's also more stat-efficient in most cases.

Consider these options for your patronage!

[] [Hero] Organizing all of this was hell, but one clerk refused to buckle (Heroic to Genius level administrator)
[] [Prov] Integrate Stallions (-6 Diplo, +5 Econ, +5 Econ Expansion, +8 Mysticism, +4 Culture, +2 Tech, +10 Martial, new core province)

We really need to refill our martial pool and try out the intergration option. ST being the closest and most developed means this will be the least costly option. (Look at the stats seriously) Using the Genius administrator will also reduce the amount of corruption and conflict of interest problems from our muti-stability dropping events.

[] [React] Main Expand Snail Cultivation

We have almost never done snail cultivation and the aquaculture potential is massive.
[] [Policy] Special: Forestry (+1 Sustainable Forest and -1 Econ Expansion/2 turns)

Forestry for covering our land to protect against chariot/cavalry/mass infantry charge from enemies. Also feeds the industry with charcoal. Reduces health problems and smogs too.

[] [Policy] Special: Vassal Support (+1 Subordinate while active, increases Loyalty while active at less than full subordinates)

Really good narrative and mechanical effect, since our southern colonies and vassal took serious beating and northern parts really came through for us.

[] [Bonus] Upgrade a random value

Obvious choice is obvious.

Hrrrrrng. Hrrrrrmmmmmm.....

So hard. I can't decide on it all.

First though these two things.

[X] [Mystic] Search the entire kingdom for someone who might understand her and put her at ease (-1 Mystic, -1 Econ, -1 Wealth, -1 Culture)
[X] [Bonus] Upgrade a random value

On the first, it's the right thing to do considering what she's done and her condition.
Value upgrade is to hopefully upgrade We Have Reserves. If not, oh well, something else did and it will be good.

Need to think about some things.

The Games - Physical competition and prowess are becoming a popular pass time and way for warriors and militia to train. Could a special festival be founded to celebrate this? (2-3? action commitment, -2 Mysticism and Culture per action, 2 Econ total commitment) [Elites]
There's a good chance we can one turn the games if we kick it

No really, I am not seeing much argument in the favor for Admin hero? I would not be so pertubed if people at least were stating their views on the subject.

Easy choice.

The Trials of an Age are ending, but the cauldron still boils with the spark of genius. Pick another hero
Oh god what do we do they're all so good

[X] [Prov] Integrate Stallions (-6 Diplo, +5 Econ, +5 Econ Expansion, +8 Mysticism, +4 Culture, +2 Tech, +10 Martial, new core province)
Gulvalley is tempting in the short term, but I just can't not do this.

[X] [React] Build more aqueducts (-2 & -3 Econ to complete aqueducts in Redshore and Redhills)
Usher in a new age with new Cities, yeah?

[X] [Policy] Infrastructure (+1 Free Progress to an infrastructure project (Aqueduct, governor's palace, saltern, etc.)/turn) x1
[X] [Policy] Infrastructure (+1 Free Progress to an infrastructure project (Aqueduct, governor's palace, saltern, etc.)/turn) x2

[X] [Bonus] At least two technology upgrades (exploding rolls)

Vassal loyalty has many narrative effects and increases over time even if we switch off the policy. Its beyond loyalty and more a constant low level influence subordinate to all our peripheries that consistently gets stronger.

Legacy Gained
Kings Do Not Kneel (Three): Gain +1 Martial every phase during a Take the Crown or Great Power war
That is damn good.

Take care of Best General + hoping for synergy with the medic choice being the one to be the husbando/waifu to her
Integrate Gulvalley is literally the thing I proposed last phase + check my policy choices. Triple Passive Defense policy means we are going to wall the SHIT out of that place if the Khem think about coming back.
And the Games are actually super cheap, if we kick them we finish this phase and I LOVE what kind of context that has.
Finally appeasing salt on the values not getting upgraded before

This and massive upgrade on our internal infrastructures and reducing the guild economy shenanigans.
