[X][Secondary] Terrify-Trelli
[X][Secondary] War Mission-sea people

Hey is my vote legal

If it is legal then the idea is that we Force the Trelli to let us into the Mediterranean In order to flank the Khemetri Because they Colony In Asia Minor Has to use the sea to supply from the Nile If it goes super well we can probably win the war in one turn

Ahh, goddamit, criminal enterprise. Iron everywhere now.

[X][Main] Build Annex - Arsenal
[X][Secondary] Study Metal
[X][Secondary] Build Watchtowers

This won't be over quickly. We need fortifications, and FAST.
Towers first. The biggest issue here is reaction time if the Highlanders feel they're hard enough. Towers let us respond better in every way if they do.
I know there will be arguments about if 5% is enough, which I kinda agree with, but you are going for this beacuse any amount of improvement is better than none? I can understand that one quite well and agree with the reasoning.

I think @Academia Nut has said that if we can make it to the midturn with maxed stats we can enter one? Or maybe that was a turn we started with max stats...i'll try and find the quote later if no one else has it (or a counter quote)

I think this is what you're remembering?

If you can get to Stab 3 here, if you can make it to the mid-turn at Stab 3 and two max stats, a golden age will trigger.

Can't remember how long we'd had what maxed at that point though.

It seems like a bad idea to declare war on the Trelli while fighting the Khemetri with the Highlanders having Iron and waiting in the wings to stab us.

Well, given that someone got this intelligence to you, its entirely possible that the Shadow King is on your side. They honestly have no idea, but given that they haven't been detected, the Blackbirds almost certainly are fundamentally compromised. If the Shadow King does exist, and this isn't just all externally driven rather than internal corruption. The People are welcoming of refugees, and if a Highlands spymaster decided to take advantage of that behavior... it would be complicated and amazing that they haven't been detected up until now, but there's some level of conspiracy at work.

This whole issue combined with the fact we're being stalemated scout wise at the front is why I like the secondary blackbird pick, gets our king some control over things hopefully...

Oi folks, we are at war here, we need to send a main or secondary war mission, our situation is precarious.

We can skip the study metal. An arsenal with support artisans should have the desired effect. It gives us the Arsenal and the general support should net us some kind of advance.

You know that I've got this suspicion that, since we have never really taken anti-intrigue actions besides Blackbirds, that someone probably Rulwyna II saw this weakness and set up a system hidden in a system that is meant to defend us. Using total obscurity even from the most high places to survive and defend itself and strike at enemies.

It's a weird thought though.

That update itself emphasized that our King has no idea what to do in a War, and has delegated all of that towards the provinces and people who do know what they're doing.

Plus, the whole point of the arsenal and artisans is to hopefully synergize with Study Metal to produce (hopefully) Steel, or some other form of metal superior to our own.

Total speculation here but the concentration of the Royal Arsenal may boost counter-espionage security. I consider this unlikely however.

We are at a stalemate so what we need right now is a game changer rather than throwing more of our soldiers into the meat grinder.
