I mean, if we really want to power up we should just go to 100 million and say "this can still end without violence, but this is your last chance"

In this case, the explanation to Maya is more like "Maya? You know I've been practicing on my own too; you're not the only one who can raise her power level through training. My dad helps me, and even he still trains and practices new styles and techniques, too."

Maya's not going to be surprised if we turn out to have a bit more power in reserve than she thought we did, especially if it turns out to still leave her ahead of us.
Simon, we train with her. We have been consistently raising our power level along with her. And the last time she checked, our máximum was 500k. It is not weird to raise our power level from training but it is if it happens in less than a week. If we didn't train together and she didn't have a measure of our maxumim you might have a point but she is supposed to think 500K is our máximum because it is the máximum we used against her on our periodic training sessions.

The biggest issue I foresee is that the scouts are still focused on us even if they have other problems. The ones still interested in fighting are the ones LEAST inclined to change their tactics in response to a changing situation, after all. We would be luckier than we deserve to get out of this without being attacked at all, and higher power levels will make it easier to deal with those attacks.
If they are attacked by our reinforcements and we don't fight them, then they will fight our reinforcements. Because if they kept attacking us not only would they be open to attack by the others in that time but also would risk adding yet another fighter to the ones attacking them, one that is on a level with their strongest fighter. These guys are supposed to be Smart since they have to survive on their own and you don't survive by agroing when it is not needed.

We could always spin it as a willpower push, like we did last time.

When I have Kakara note that she's not even sure that something is possible in the vote options, that's me as QM saying that there's no guarantee that it even is; and if it is, that DC is going to be insane. In this case you blew it by 40. Beyond even cookies.
...You know, if it wasn't for Reflective disabling Convictions and Pacifism, we might have been able to make that. And of course, the update comes right as I fall unconscious. :(

...that is literaly what started this argument.
We explained to Maya what willpower pushes are to explain last time we went above our limit. If you choose to power up, it should be on a situation that would require it to keep the lie consistent and we just got some reinforcements. Furthermore, we are on an equal footing with the strongest scout in their squad power level wise which means we should be able to defend against any stray attacks as we are. Our aims are either diplomacy or evacuating civilians which means we would not be involved in direct combat, our reinforcements should keep the scouts busy and with either option it makes no sense for them to attack us specifically since they have bigger things to worry about. Also, as far as both Maya and the scouts are concerned, super mechanic man can power up to a millón units and Meerak just confirmed via radio that he outclasses them all. Plus, we know OoC that we will win the fight regardless and Berra already assigned some exiles to help with the evacuation so it is not like we have to cover all the field.

So while I doubt it would tip our lie to Maya, why risk it when dad has the situation handled?
We don't have much of a reason to rise our power level and the explanation we gave Maya last time needs a situation that would require a willpower push, which is unnecessary since dad has this on the bag.

No, no, have dad do so.
This is a good idea. One of the last thing Meerak did was give a warning as to Dad's immense power. Having him flare up will shock the scouts for just a moment and in that moment also have Meerak immediately and completely validated. Meerak would then be the one definitively in the right and the leader the one who's definitively in the wrong, possibly giving us a second chance at getting them to surrender, or at least increasing the chance that the other four will.

The fact that it's Dad and not us would also mean that Maya won't feel betrayed by finding out we're that much stronger than her and we didn't tell her. Meanwhile with the degree of separation between her and Dad she'll be surprised but not hurt.

[X][ORDERS] Do as Dad said, and glue yourself to Jaron throughout the fight.
[X][IFF] Engage only those scouts which you can confirm as actively hostile.
[X][AIM] Forget the fight; make certain that the four scouts showing signs of trying to figure out what to do don't join the fight. Get them to surrender.
-[X] Ask them how high their Scouters go, then relay that to Dad. A high enough PL might knock the fight out of them, but it's up to him.

Good idea, he has higher communication.

That said, I kind of assumed he would enter the fight with a full millon PL since both Meerak and Maya know he can go that high already so he has no reason not to do so.
A million probably wouldn't be enough.
He is in the middle of a fight. He doesn't need us juggling his elbow.
He hasn't even engaged yet. And all the vote is doing is offering him some info, and letting him decide what to do with it. He might decide to go over it, breaking their scouters. He might ignore it.

Given Meerak's reaction to it? It might.Besides, Berra is called the second coming of Goku when it comes to fighting. Once he starts picking them out one by one they should catch the message.

Edit: Might cause them to surrender, not break the scouters.
