[X] [Main] The Law (Iron Age)
[X] [Free] Change Passive Policy - Defence (+1 significant walls/turn)

We need Tech for the Law.

Running with:
[X] [Secondary] Support Artisans
[X] [Secondary] Support Artisans x2

[Main] Support Artisans gives: -1 Econ, -4 Wealth, +5 Tech, +1 Culture, higher chance of innovations
We have plenty of wealth, so this seems like a really good deal at first glance.

[X][Secondary] Plant Hemp
[X][Secondary] Support Artisans

I think this is a very good combo. Focusing on the grounded and usually overlooked forest and related plants.

Edit in approval voting.

[X] [Secondary] New Trails

[X] [Secondary] Integrate March - Stallion Tribes

Governor's Palace - Every palace lowers Min. Centralization by 1 and can decrease communication issues with distant provinces, but can also serve as the core of a breakaway state in a civil war. Each {S} costs 3 Econ and 3 Art and produces 3 Progress

Temple - Progress listed below, each {S} committed consumes 3 Econ and 3 Art for 3 Progress. Completion increases Religious Authority

Library - Any location with a temple and/or True City status can have a library, with each {S} committed consuming 3 Art and 3 Mysticism for 3 progress. Completion grants Mysticism, every 2 libraries past the first increases the Mysticism refund by 1. Sacred Forest (0/3)

Raise Army - More men can be inducted into the ranks of the warriors every year and not face major food shortfalls
* S: -1 Econ, -2 Wealth, +3 Martial, +1 Culture, potential additional effects
*M: -3 Econ, -4 Wealth, +7 Martial, +1 Culture, potential additional effects
*2M: -4 Econ, -5 Wealth, +Culture Art, founds Martial 10 Mercenary Company

All of these still have some sort of Art in them. Raise Army has a typo in the double main section.

Our Tech is too low to guarantee completion of The Law by the mid-turn, but our provinces are extremely likely to take a Support Artisans if we don't do it ourselves.

Also, I just realized I should check my assumptions
@Academia Nut
Do our advisors expect problems if we do an Enforce Justice while also doing The Law reform? Would it be synergy (figure out what needs to be changed) or anti-synergy (trying to enforce shifting rules)

The Law (Iron Age) - With new technologies, innovations, and social structures, old laws require a thorough redo in order to align with modern expectations (3-4? action commitment, -2 Mysticism and -2 Tech per action)

the Law now costs tech, so we need to boost that with a secondary this turn. Possibly by supporting artisans?
Mmm, if its cheap we have enough, and I'd rather not one turn the Law anyway. The possibility of mid turn innovations due to partial Law completion are rather tempting.

So if I understand this right stats will always prefer to flow in the direction of the black arrows but if full will flow in the direction of red arrows? What happens if say Diplo is filled and Wealth overflows?
I believe the overflow will touch Diplo, then overflow down again to Culture.

Oh hey Plant of Gonwyllmyn, good t see you again
I'm going to assume this is rope grade hemp, actually. Does explain its synergy with boats, boats are the number 1 consumer of ropes pre-steam engines.

ahem
sooo....The Law needs

6-8 Mysiticm and Tech. We are too low on Tech to one-turn it unless we get lucky with actions needed, so we need to invest in the Tech.
Also, we need to invest into Stability, because I want my S3 goddammit.
Also, lol Iron-wielding nomads. Fuck. Well, whatever, we knew they would come.

@Academia Nut , extended projects seem to still be costed in Art, not Culture/Tech.

Also, how do we vote for the new Passive Policy target? Does it still take a Secondary slot to choose despite it being a new one?
Personally, I'd prefer to allow our provinces to pick up the Tech with their spare action. As I said above, I'm rather interested in the possibility of a mid-turn reaction to partial Law completion.

Thus, I'm thinking this:

[X] [Main] The Law (Iron Age)
[X] [Secondary] Build Theatre
[X][Secondary] Proclaim Glory

Bulks up Culture, which is probably the most relevant way, outside of direct human investment, to keep our culture strong and desirable. Proclaim Glory, because my new dream is to max out stability now, be amazingly lucky and not need to burn stability on the Law, and go into a Culture based Golden Age.

Maybe even a Culture/Tech, if I'm going to dream big.

That would be the the kind of flowering of ideas that gets remembered for millennia. Whatever we call it, will become the word for Renaissance for this world.

Do we really need to? I mean, they have a very defensible position and now they have iron. They might be able to fight off the nomads themselves. If not, we could launch an attack later.
They're a handful of villages. The sheer numbers of a unified horde can overwhelm them easily.

Just thought I would remind everyone that we are currently at 14 Econ Expansion.

If we don't lower it to at least 12, Sacred Forest will pop.

I want that goddamn Stability 3 and Golden Age while Law-ing, goddammit.

Should hopefully keep our Expansion low for now but provide enough tech to finish the Law.

Laaaaaw + current passive
New Theatre hotness
Retraining to start working down that Martial score and then integrate the Stallion Tribes or Heaven's Hawk
MORE INFRASTRUCTURE. (What I said before about action economy still holds)

Another stupid number of doubles.

Also, you can rent the Red Banner out to the Metal Workers if you want, but this will probably trigger war with the nomads.
I really want to do this. It's worth war with the nomads to keep nomads from getting iron.
