We won't have the numbers edge; we need to be able to maintain support and reinforcements, which means we need to be able to at least match the Trelli on the water to win this fight.

Among the potential advantages of the Trelli-East post, is that its part of the way towards getting a coastal road line into Trelli territory. With luck, it may open up the possibility of walking our armies in. Our longships, while poor in ship to ship combat, are rather well suited to delivering supplies all up and down the coast, as well.

I feel like we would have a better advantage there, in any potential conflict, than attempting to outdo them at what they are best at.
 
Were you people not planning to go all out on the Palace next turn?
I'd been planning on it, but if we build a trade post we probably end up spending enough econ that we can't get the full 6 Megaproject actions, so doing other stuff (like, say, founding another mercenary company) becomes more attractive.

We plan on building both anyway, so why not grab the Northern Trading Post in preparation of grabbing the Southern One? You don't get as many benefits visa versa.

Not too efficient, but it scratches the Law itch, might get us started on warships, and might let us provoke a defensive war. Which the Red Banner would likely help a lot with. Especially if we integrate ST next turn allowing to burn some martial on war missions.

Actually I don't have too many strong opinions here.

For [Int] Party has a clear lead and is the clearly best choice (we want to start a Golden Age soon)

For [Exp] Integrate Stallions can't safely be done, but aside from that (and the Do nothing) all of the options are viable.

For [Diplo], Trails or Boats are both important and useful. I'm going Boats because I'm also going for the western Trelli Trade Post, and we'll want to be able to defend it if things start going bad- and that means more boats.

Which is basically what I was getting at. Good raiders, thus win the land battles, bad sea fighters thus probably lose the naval battles.
Problem is, most of this will be completely about naval battles. So losing the majority of naval battles will be a massive problem. If we lose at sea, we will:

1) Be unable to supply our new trading post and their defenders
2) Will never be able to decisively end the war. If we can't threaten the Trelli trade network, or the city itself, they will just keep fighting bar some southern disaster.
3) Greenshore will also be endangered, though being well established should help it a bit. Still, its trade will suffer, and thus it will lose connection to the Ymaryn mainland with possible resultant problems.

It'll happen anyways and forestalls the passive interdiction benefits of TTP-West.

Because Nomads are a lot more dangerous than the Trelli IMO. The Trelli are gonna be a little passive-aggressive towards us, the Nomads are just gonna fuck shit up.

On a side note, getting other nations annoyed enough at us to start minor wars that we win is a cool way to gain stability. Not an efficient way, but a very funny way.

Nice job throwing pot-shots to frame my personal view as something negative. I hope you feel really nice about yourself. Generally the best thing to do in life is NOT to assume that someone doesn't like things traditionally viewed as good but instead assume that they have their reasons. Could you do that?

I will admit I misread Noria as Moria, because of the Dig Too Greedily thing that happened.

Which is why I'm contemplating other ideas like Sivantic's North Tp plus moar boat plus party hardy.

Agreed in principle, rush to prepare to fight the next war. If we don't demonstrate strength at sea to threaten to at least choke them out, the Trelli are going to take a swing at us eventually. If not us, then the Metal Workers and/or the Highlanders first, which is still actually bad for us. But rushing megaproject ASAP to deal with Tax issue IMO. We're action screwed, we need to pound these out.

But most things being voted for are fine except for integration, which is bonkers with our current Martial score.
