Oh right forgot at the end of turn is when we failure cascade regardless we just got proof that we will be hit by stab whether we like it or not would you rather us the reaction vote now when we are not that pressed or later when we may be in serious need of doing other actions

Dude, you're already out on the limb of a hypothetical THREE stability loss without us doing something about it. I'm not willing to further speculate on whether we would have time to take a reaction at that point. We generally wouldn't have a problem with it.

!!! New civ! Unless i'm blind, the "Tin Tribes" weren't mentioned in the update... @Academia Nut what do we know about them? Are they whats reforming in the Hathatyn lands?
Gems: Added, with us already at significant, and the Trelli and Tin tribes with production, the Khemetri important them for...some reason?
Slaves: Tin Tribes also trade slaves.
Tin: The tin tribes are, obviously, involved in this, though the trelli still are threatening to dominate.
Edit: The Tin Tribes are not in the Hath area:
They're to the south of the MW, north-west of the Trelli.

New miltech! Likely pretty damn important :)

Especially since their neighbours in the Heaven's Hawk had struck upon a rather interesting new development in the past generation as they had started developing a more sedentary lifestyle and had sought to imitate the very effective tactics of the Red Banner in their own way. While to a large degree their imitation hadn't worked, it had instead revealed something new. The population increase from having the support of the southern provinces had produced more warriors than they had chariots for, so they had attempted to come up with some sort of infantry compromise that had resulted in a glut of javelin throwing skirmishers from the youth who couldn't get access to heavier gear. Instead of being disappointed though, the chief of the group had come to a realization that he could use these lighter elements in maneuver in conjunction with elite chariots, spearmen, and the heavy archers who were best fielded in large blocks. The complexity was staggering, but having multiple different kinds of warrior each doing their own job greatly appealed to the People's way of thinking. While useful, it also gave the most bellicose province in the north an enormous leg up in terms of military power, as well as political power as many of the next few generations of war leaders would be learning from them.
Oooh, that sounds damned important...

Less troublesome was the unexpected harmony between Greenshore and Hatvalley. A recent trade mission between Greenshore and the Trelli had revealed a tremendous demand by the Khemetri for a particularly beautiful kind of gemstone, precisely of the sort that Hatvalley had pretty much literally just stumbled upon in a survey of their terrain. While the supply was almost hilariously tiny in comparison to anything but gold, the small blue stones shone like stars when given a good polish. Traders could get an exceptional exchange of gold, silver, spices, incense, or dye in exchange for just a few stones, and there was the possibility of further development of the find of gemstones.
!!! Fuck yeah! =D

There were some wondering why the Khemetri had such a high demand for these admittedly pretty awesome stones,
Hmm...anyone know what this could be? Are they using sapphires as currency? I think i've heard gems can be used for mirrors or lenses, so maybe they've invented those?? Or are they just big in their religion or their architecture?

Wealth is great! Stab hit not so much...

[] [Alchemy] No, it is needed for other things
[] [Alchemy] Some support (Secondary Study Alchemy, Stallions pleased)
[] [Alchemy] Full support (Main Study Alchemy, Stallions very pleased)
Hmm, probably want this, yeah? Doing the main will cost us an econ, and a mysticsm since we dont have double refund yet, and thus an art, though...
Edit: As veekie suggests, this might lead to learning how limestone-based mortar works, which would greatly improve building, and if we're lucky might lead to new trail tech if we take that??

Rush construction of a new sapphire mine in Hatvalley?
[] [WC] No, it will be developed in good time

At least want one of these...taking the full bit is likely to make us dominate it, since we're already at significant

Many choices...but since we're dropping cent most likely, i think trails is important.
Here's the stats for the big options for this vote, btw:
Study Alchemy - Materials can be made to transform their form through special treatment. What wonders can be discovered in this process?
*S: -1 Mysticism, -1 Wealth, potential new discoveries
*M: -2 Mysticism, -1 Wealth, -1 Econ, increased chance of new discoveries

New Trails - There are many settlements with only marginal trails, so more could be useful
* S: -1 Econ, +1 Centralization, other effects
* M: -1 Econ, +1 Centralization, +1 Diplo, other effects

Improve Annual Festival - A festival for every season, but their expansion can help put the People at ease and teach good practices.
* M: -1 Econ, -2 Wealth, +1 Stability, +2 Art, chance for additional effects
* 2M: -2 Econ, -2 Wealth, +1 Stability, +4 Art, chance for additional effects
* Max Stability: Legitimacy - 1

I do believe the Tin Tribes are where the Trelli get their tin and the TT live some where north west of Trelli near the MW. In fact we may have met them already in that one update which said the MW collapsed a bit and our traders went farther up their rivers in order to make bank.

This is the discovery of Mortar, figuring out how limestone can fuse other rocks together. Well, if we succeed.

[] [Alchemy] No, it is needed for other things
[] [Alchemy] Some support (Secondary Study Alchemy, Stallions pleased)
-1 Mysticism, -1 Wealth, potential new discoveries
[] [Alchemy] Full support (Main Study Alchemy, Stallions very pleased)
-2 Mysticism, -1 Wealth, -1 Econ, increased chance of new discoveries

Note that Full Support is likely to generate Mortar discovery, which would be VERY helpful for the Palace(and Dam and everything built ever)

The loss of Centralization and the Wealth gain is good, but it does make Art a bit closer than we'd like for the Palace. Hmm. The deciding factor for me is that the biggest option can give us Market Dominance in gemstones, which would help buy us more wealth and time to fix the taxes.
If we take the Sapphire mine, then we'd want the trails, which both eases the Admin issues and brings our roads further out to buy us more time and get us more info on the situation.
Lets us do another New Trails next turn too.

What else to do?
[] [React] Main Expand Econ
Econ +4

Vanilla option. Can't go wrong.

[] [React] Main New Trails
-1 Econ, +1 Centralization, +1 Diplo, other effects

Can only take this with the Mines, but we REALLY need better roads.

[] [React] Additional Megaproject Action
-1 Econ, -1 Art

Races further to completion.

[] [React] Main Improve Annual Festival
-1 Econ, -2 Wealth, +1 Stability, +2 Art, chance for additional effects

Raises Stability to give us a buffer again, and adds Art, but puts Wealth closer to the burn line.

[] [React] Main Salt Gift
-5 Wealth, random amount of Diplomacy, Art, and Prestige generated (min. 1 of each) and the possibility of Mysticism generation

Somewhat unwise statwise, but might end the war? We can hit 0 Wealth if we roll badly however.

[] [React] Terrify Enemies
-3 Diplo, can force minors to become vassals or integrate, can cause major civilizations to lose Stability

Might end the war, might make it worse, and success would probably add to the admin overload.

[] [React] Integrate Vassal
-4 Diplomacy, transitions vassal to March or Colony

Increased admin overload to transfer PTSD-chan to a March or Colony, so they don't go nuts.

Personal inclination:
[X] [Alchemy] Full support (Main Study Alchemy, Stallions very pleased)
[X] [WC] Send many experts to work at the problem (-3 Art, -2 Centralization, +2 Wealth, +2 Wealth next turn)
[X] [React] Main New Trails

Endstate:
Diplomacy 10 [+2] -> 11 [+2] (will start to overflow into Wealth the turn after)
Economy 7 [-2] -> 5 [-2]
Econ Expansion 10 [+2] -> 12 [+2]
Wealth 8 [+2-1] -> 9 (+2) [+2-1] (will start to overflow into Art the turn after)
Centralization 4 -> 3
Art 9 -> 6 (will gain 2 Art next turn from overflow)
Mysticism 14 (+2) [+1] -> 12 (+3) [+1](will produce 2 Art next turn)

Fairly solid for a next turn.

@Academia Nut how likely is it that we hit Centralization 5 in this midturn process?
Cent high red has minor effects until the next turn at least. We asked before

Hmm...anyone know what this could be? Are they using sapphires as currency? I think i've heard gems can be used for mirrors or lenses, so maybe they've invented those?? Or are they just big in their religion or their architecture?
Another freaking Wonder.

This is the discovery of Mortar, figuring out how limestone can fuse other rocks together. Well, if we succeed.
Oh shit, thats what we're going for??? I'd been thinking about going down to the secondary, but if thats even a remote possibility, then even that chance is way too important to give up in exchange fore one econ and one mysticism turned art...
Mysticism 14 (+2) [+1] -> 12 (+3) [+1](will produce 2 Art next turn)
Also, minor thing but i think at least the (+2) will process after this update but before we get our main turn choices next update; thats how it worked last time iirc. So we'l be looking at 15 (+1) [+1] or maybe (but probably not) 15 [+1] mysticism, and either 7 or 8 art

Another freaking Wonder.
What wonder would require so much sapphires and gems in general, do you think?

They be like "Only one as beautiful as i should have access to these magnificent stones."

Agh! The bling burns mah eyes!
Put it away! Put it away!

You folks remember when I was talking about how we have two distinct types of war doctrine? This is how you link them together into one cohesive super force. Or at least start too.

I noticed that our RA is still at 3, even though the Stallions build their Wonder Temple, so I guess that Temples build in subordinates don't affect the civ's total RA?
