I suppose I should clarify.

It will increase the strain by having to bring together the Core Ymaryn administration and directly subordinate the Stallion administration under it, but it's not as though we have to settle multiple new provinces.

The Stallions are our people and generally understand how our administration works, so it shouldn't be much of an administrative hassle to integrate them into our system?

Did that make more sense? If not, I can try and explain it a different way.

I think I understand your reasoning, but I do not think I agree with it, because, even though they understand our ways, this still means more work for our bureaucrats and more stuff for our king to keep in mind despite having only so much hours in a day.

it won't be a hassle to integrate them in our system, it will simply increase the burden on our system once they're integrated

Yeah, pretty much this. And our big problem is the latter.

But, well, this is something our Admin advisor IC should know, so I think we should wait for WoG on this.

GP x 2 + InfS Offensive Policy:
Influence Subordinate - *S: -2 Diplo, Transfer 1 Econ, Wealth, Art and Mysticism; influences subordinate culture
Grand Palace - The king's palace is not just a dwelling but a place of government, a stockpile for the People's needs, and a symbol of strength to outsiders (5-7? action commitment, -1 Econ and Art per action)

Econ 5 - 1 - 1 - 2 = 1 (no income from provinces due to offensive)

Why -2 and not another -1? Secondary Influence is -1 Econ.

Still, ouch.

Changing back

It'd ping off Lord's Loyalty+Divine Stewards and risk us sliding into a tantrum spiral/and or the Lowland Minors collapsing. So we have to commit something this turn regardless and if we start the Palace then we'd have to double secondary to integrate the Stallions.
offense policy

It also revealed the fact that among the different provinces there were differences in opinion on how to "properly" implement the half-exile punishment process. That was probably a discussion for another day, but there was definitely a process at play that the People might find useful in the future.

Also, yeah, this will be quite a discussion too.
Good our people did have sense to not start philosophical knife-fights about it too; we are in a middle of something atm.

It seems the best plan; as by integrating the Stallion Tribes we get both economy and martial stats, which will then let us make more use out of the offensive policy given we can fight wars with both of them. It also means we should have enough economy to afford the Palace, without needing to take expand economy actions.

Further more, once integrated it means we can pop a temple down on the natural wonder which should help our relgious authority against the Thunder Speakers considerably, given we'd get both a boost from the temple itself and where it's being placed. It also means you can subsequently put an library in the north, which is helpful as with the Sacred Library and two normal libraries we get 2 mysticism refund for each action. This is notable when you look at most of our research actions, but even more so given we need to do the Census project and that takes 2 mysticism an action, thus with another library we can effectively do it resource free aside from the actual action costs, letting us continue to overflow a stat and putting us in a good position for a golden age further down the line.

The Grand Palace is due to the various administrative and bureaucratic innovations we require, and it's best to get it started in case we need to slow boat it if our neighbors don't give us peace.

If we flip to Megaproject Support, we can get the Palace and Census done much more quickly, and perhaps The Law (Iron Age) if that's a Megaproject.

With our administrative strains the way they are, I'd suggest building the Palace and more roads before integrating any new provinces.

The Stallions have done something like thirteen Forest actions. We're getting plenty of trees.

Yeah, but wanted more at the edge of our south-east borders.

Wonder if we are trading charcoal internally.

Also that wild intrigue hero is likely to kick the bucket this or next turn.

We need to integrate the Stallion Tribes. The pseudo-crisis involving the possibility of northern secession is still running, if dampened for now, and we need to get them in as soon as possible before they can build a temple.

There are other reasons to integrate the Stallion Tribes. They have planted a lot of forest which means we'll have plenty of charcoal to support more mining. The Economy we'll get will pay for the Grand Palace and their Martial will be a big help with the War Missions we'll be launching this turn with Offence policy in defence of the lowlanders. If we're lucky, the sufficiently large show of strength will discourage the Thunder Speakers from going to war against us.

Would be real nice to get another Triple spawn of Heroes right now...

Edited: got convinced that March-kun will have to wait until we have palace done.

1) Rushing the GP now w/o influencing the subordinate.
a) burns stats but not terribly,
b) works to solve the admin problem quickly, but
c) does nothing to stem the problem in the meanwhile.
-this applies to both the megaproject policy route and the double GP + econ route
d) The former will result in the lowland war being prolonged. The latter might put one of the two factions out of business.

2) Doing both the GP and the integration is
a) great statwise.
b) However, it puts great strain upon the system in the meanwhile.
c) It leads to a much slower resolution of the admin problem.
d) It is as likely as not to end the war faster, but will garner the necessary stats to end it next turn.
