Feudalism will lead to a lot of war because feud is in the name of feudalism and war is bad.
Only after 1820
As for feuding and warring, it depends.

I voted for this before it was confirmed-by-AN-to-bolster-them-in-religious-debates.[40][City] Yes (Transfers 2 Econ + 2 Econ expansion, nulls cost of maintenance for Sacred Forest)
O_ONo one knows, although giving the city more independence will likely increase its prestige and authority.
This was known from a while back, specifically noted when the option first came up.O_O
I do not think that is a route we wish to travel.
Our religious sect is suppose to be a moderating influence on our powers not a rivaling one.
Hey so did I! *fistbump*I voted for this before it was confirmed-by-AN-to-bolster-them-in-religious-debates .
But! We're seeing right now that regardless of our desires, our priesthood will indeed have rivals. And we do not want those rivals to steamroll their beliefs all over us.Our religious sect is suppose to be a moderating influence on our powers not a rivaling one.
No refugee vote?
Our Priestshood have internal rivals as well as religious rivals. They do not have a say on how our government is run. We should not mix our religion with our bureaucracy because they are our neutral arbiter and they help keep the peace. They are the ones that train our Blackbirds after all and that is not group we want in the hands of politicians. But! ETA Besides, isn't it desirable to have rivals keeping each other accountable at the top of government? Maintaining the balance may be delicate, but important.
He does have a patreon!@Academia Nut
Is it possible that we could get some professional artwork for this quest? Specifically if we collectively contribute X amount of money? I know that one other quest done it(though, annoyingly buried deep).
>A dollarI already gave him a dollar a month.
Although for a really popular questmaster, it's a bit surprising low.
But the king is a neutral arbiter and peacekeeper, too, and tangled in bureaucracy up to his eyeballs. They're not incompatible. We should not mix our religion with our bureaucracy because they are our neutral arbiter and they help keep the peace.
I thought the blackbirds already do pretty much whatever the king wants? They are the ones that train our Blackbirds after all and that is not group we want in the hands of politicians.
We choose when we get someone we cant control the fact of the matter is that the king is our counter balance. If the idea is that he's safe because we control him, that's clearly not always true.
Yes, the King can do whatever he wants and the Blackbirds answer only to him. We do not want that to fall under anyone else. But the king is a neutral arbiter and peacekeeper, too, and tangled in bureaucracy up to his eyeballs. They're not incompatible.

Being suspicious of handing out political power is fine. But what about the glaring example of supreme executive power sitting right in front of us? He doesn't warrant any suspicion, any checks and balances? We don't want him to have any rival at all?
If the idea is that he's safe because we control him, that's clearly not always true.
What if strengthening others' influence meant that we had more information about what's happening and thus more options to choose from, or more complete knowledge of those options? As it stands, we frequently take a shot in the dark regarding what different courses of action will actually do. If we had more input from the artisans, the priests, the farmers, the soldiers, we might be better able to act.The only ones we don't control are the heroes and that is because they almost always know the situation better than us.

Meanwhile PTSD-chan has communal psychological problems, while also revealing that we've had much easier time annexing people via diplomacy because they are in trouble and willing to accept anyone with a fix...and by conquest, who expect you to be gone in a few generations anyway.
And they've been conditioned to consider slaves as tribute. Sigh.
