So overall, I think electing Phygrif would be the least damaging move, since his people have been our allies for several generations and he himself has no inroad to push particularly controversial policies.
He's also the war candidate. What about our grand plans for further infrastructure projects or expanding into the lowlands?

I'm not saying you are wrong, but the description of him is inconsistent with this,
Well, that's just the public perception of him. Still is all the info we actually got, so, yeah, I'd agree with you there.

Provinces haven't acted yet, apparently.

I'm inclined to switch to a colony and pull in all the refugees we can get; if we've the colony, it probably won't wreck our econ slots.

I really don't like our leader options. Not any of them.

Guildmaster is just straight-up nasty, a corrupt idiot isn't good news either. Kid means heredity. Outsider Warleader with nomad cultural traits and a push for war... bleh.

I think I might consider the commander of Heaven's Hawks the least bad option.

Haha, it aient heredity, it's the rule of regency, the archenemy of all monarchs.
And the the death of many an empire

[X] [King] Phygrif (-1 Legitimacy, Main Build Chariots, Heavens Hawk become a March)
[X] [Hat] Yes, become a Colony
[X] [Refugee] Take in as many as possible (-2 Stability, chance of further loss, +6-8 Econ, different benefits if Hatvalley a colony)

War candidate is exactly the "expand into lowlands" pick. Also, he's the Northern candidate, so counts towards keeping the north happy as is, and is likely to use his actions to help the north himself.

AHAAHAHAAHAH! WE ARE DOOMED!

[X] [King] Rulwyna (Main Expand Econ)
[X] [Hat] Yes, become a Colony
[X] [Refugee] Whoever comes on their own (Chance of stability loss, +2 Econ)

[X] [King] Rulwyna (Main Expand Econ)
All Hail King Rulwyna!!
Wonder when were getting the Queen title...
Whatever
All HAIL
[X] [Hat] Yes, become a Colony
[X] [Refugee] Whoever comes on their own (Chance of stability loss, +2 Econ)

Uh

Well then

[X] [King] Rulwyna (Main Expand Econ)

Hero for 3-4 turns is a plus
Pretty sure she's not a hero. Right now, she's just a little girl.

[X] [King] Dythuwyn (+1 Stability, Sec Expand Econ + Sec Art Patronage)

[X] [Hat] Yes, become a Colony

[X] [Refugee] Take in as many as possible (-2 Stability, chance of further loss, +6-8 Econ, different benefits if Hatvalley a colony)

Phy seems to be the least distasteful, and will keep the north in line for a bit longer. Though, I can sure see a lot of problems from his rule, especially if he starts going full conquest...

He can't actually enact that agenda in his lifetime. There's nobody left alive to fight. He's got Mediocre Admin, but we've had that before. It'll be a hiccup and restoring legitimacy will be annoying, but I think we could weather him pretty well.

Phygrif sounds like the least bad option - at least we'll be better equipped to handle any external surprises that may be coming our way. NVM, AN confirmed that Dythuwyn is the least divisive candidate.

there were many who were thankful for Giirry stumbling upon a fresh source of gold as it helped feed the need for metals to make currency even as the silver trade with the Hathatyn dried up. Because they were so useful for trading things with strangers, everyone wanted silver and gold coins.

Wait, I thought we only used Currency in Valleyhome.

[X][Curr] Yes, in Valleyhome
[X][Horse] Openly allow but regulate it (-1 Religious Authority, potential stability loss)
[X][Infra] Build aqueduct in Sacred Forest (-4 Econ, +4 Econ Expansion, increased True City threshold)
[X][Hero] Provide sponsorship (Main Study Tailings under Mystic Hero, possible Legitimacy loss, possible Religious Authority loss)

If we're doing large scale implementation of our Currency what's stopping us from setting up a treasury or central bank?

So... what does a conquest policy right now even mean? The polities around us are falling apart without our intervention; we can have all the land we could want already. So what are we conquering?
Nothing really. We may poke the Thunder Speakers hard enough to topple them but that's not really an issue with the military we can throw around.

Also I like Phygrif too. Counters any un-called for anti-nomad sentiment, and the other factors people have brought up.

Will go with this, the least troublesome of them...shows that anyone that bleeds for the people can be the King of the People

You know, staying with stability policy is really going to pay off now. If we do choose Phy, they'll Proclaim Glory and pretty much instantly restore our legitimacy.

That was unlucky, but it could be worse.

Hmmm yes a "mixup" killed the heir... hmm this talk of puppets and assassination stinks to the high heavens. I think we need to hold up before we vote and discuss and iron out a few analysis posts to compare against before we decide. If I had the power of moratorium I would but I don't so *shrug* let the salt flow!

This is a good point against Dythuwyn and maybe Phygrif. Not sure about the others.

He's probably pushing a policy where we give them a nudge and aggressively fill the vacuum.

Besides, only the Hatters truly collapsed, and the HK is the quintessential target now for any military expansion right now.

To be fair, none of the options would be in favor of building infrastructure.

Valleyhome guy would only care about Valleyhome, and would have no problem leaving everything else to rot, so I guess he could build a palace/temple/library combo there at the expense of everything else.

Gold mine guy would likely just spam distribute wealth for money and take wealth boosting activities

Nomad guy is gonna war, but we don't even really have nearby neighbors to war with so I guess he will just fight nomads?

And the kid has no plans because she's less than 10, so the oligarchs controlling her will likely just expand econ to increase their personal wealth.

Yeah, but she'll turn into one later, and im unsure if well have any other hero during the rest of this crisis if she isnt picked.
