...Our people literally think queer people are queer because of having extra souls, which also makes said queer folk powerful and magical. If i remember correctly AN said we have a god of queerness and magic :p
I can only imagine that they can reconcile this by making all the gays they can be shamans otherwise the average person is gonna be kinda confused that they can't actually do anything particularly magical
Oh wait stupid me, were in the age of magic, where its all rituals and invisible magic that's all mysterious and shit

I'm not 100% convinced of the megaproject...well, climate instability for like a century? I mean maybe I guess. Just seems weird.
I'm loathe to use up the last subordinate state slot as I really wanted the NE March but I'm willing to experiment on this and see if we get a Legacy.
Hire to those guys and keep them working.
Because this isn't a war vote, not paying the Hawk.
Not enough Diplo to do anything with the Hatriver realistically.
And the sane picks for the last two.

Why are you people choosing to propagate the march rather than integrating it?
We may be in the beginning of the Bronze Age collapse. This is a period where almost every empire fell in real-life. We need the military to fend off our neighbors (who, due to the chaos, are much more likely to go to war than normal), nomads, and the Sea Peoples. Propagating them allows us to gain another province under our control, while simultaneously fortifying our new borders.

Of course, what she found most amusing was the fact that rumours about the three of them were all a bit off. While politically she was undoubtedly the centre of the trio, romantically she was something of an the outsider in the relationship Sobtuthyn and Ynarthyn had going. Like, they didn't exclude her entirely, enough to know that while Sobtuthyn was by far the most experienced of all of them with all genders due to his experiences as a trader and having two wives already, it was also obvious that his preference was almost exclusively for men. Sobtuthyn on the other hand was simultaneously more willing to show her affection out of something other than a sense of obligation and yet also more awkward about it. Rulwyna didn't particularly mind though, watching them was enough in both their quiet moments, and less so quiet moments.

Ok, so let me see if I have this straight:

Rulwyna:
- Female Heroic Martial/Mystic with lots of influence in Trade
- Helped to discover horseback riding and improved armor by campaigning with her dad, revolutionized our SCIENCE by continuing her mom's research
- Bisexual (I'm just glad that she's not full SCIENCE!!! like her mom and can actually interact with people)
- Is the current heir to the Ymaryn throne

Sobtutthyn
- Male Heroic Trader
- Is married with two wives
- Is also gay/bisexual with strong homosexual leanings
- Trade Chief

Ynarthyn
- Female Male Heroic Martial (whoops, my mistake)
- Is said to be an exceptionally skilled commander
- Bisexual Tsundere (hard and professional on the outside, but when you get him alone...)
- War Chief

Together, they fight crime.

Loving this update. I certainly wasn't expecting the "form a mercenary band" option to become "recruit Heroes into Rulwyna's personal harem", but I definitely have no regrets.

Megaproject now, ideally RoO and/or M-EJ at some point in the near future to counterbalance the -2 centralization these choices will incur.

@Academia Nut Thanks for the gay <3

Ynarthyn
- Female Heroic Martial
Pretty sure Ynarthyn is male.

And I think this should be Ynarthyn.

This is what we do. We do not blame the neighbors, or sin, or anything else. When the climate tries to screw us we fix the climate.

[X] [City] Found Free City (2 Econ and Econ Expansion Transferred)

Might as well do this

[X] [Merc] Hire to the Thunder Speakers

Time to punch the Xoh and get paid for it

[X] [Hawk] Yes (Hire the Heaven's Hawk Tribe on for -1 Wealth/turn, can be used to guard the north-east and potentially transformed into a March, or for regular military actions; do not count as your subordinate)

Ablative shields against nomads are always good

[X] [Hat] Propagate March (-6 Diplo, +4 Econ, +2 Econ Expansion, +2 Art, +2 Mysticism, -1 Centralization, new territory gained)

Land for the land God. We need to expand

[X] [WC] Begin limited construction (-3 Econ, -1 Wealth, -1 Econ Expansion, -1 Centralization; +4 Econ, +2 Martial end of next turn)

Let's dip our toes into the water

[X] [Refugee] Those who arrive on their own (Chance of stability loss, +2 Econ)

We are already at -1 stab

I am hesitant to do the mining at all due to the cost but this is the most likely path to at least last to the next update.

I really don't like the idea of starting a new magaproject now.

We are going to be taking a LOT of stability hits in the next couple of turns - first from the weather and then from all the refugees the weather kicks up. We more or less need the majority of our actions just to stem that tide, not to mention the fact that chaos brings opportunities and we will need free actions to take them.

On the other hand, if we start a megaproject, that is going to take away a significant fraction of our actions, not to mention be a drain on resources (which are going to be pretty scarce as it is). The magaproject is interesting, but we are already over-extended; any more and we put ourselves at serous risk for major problems. Let not be too greedy.

I will warn people now that hiring the Hawk is exactly what killed the Romans in the end when it came to their mercs.

It's not even because they are Nomads it's because they are not directly loyal to our state like the Red Banner are more or less. They are loyal to our shinnies.

[X] [Hawk] No

So for now this is what I am going for.

If every empire around us DOES fall due to the weather, and we survive... well time to take over
For the good of everyone else ofcourse.
