[X] [Curr] Yes, in Valleyhome

[X] [Horse] Openly allow but regulate it (-1 Religious Authority, potential stability loss)

[X] [Infra] Build more boats (-2 Econ; +1 Econ end of turn, +1 Econ, +1 Econ Expansion and Diplo next turn, additional effects,)

[X] [Hero] Provide sponsorship (Main Study Tailings under Mystic Hero, possible Legitimacy loss, possible Religious Authority loss)

I'm reminded of an MTG saying: "Health is a resource. Spend it." Well, Stability and Authority are both resources. Spend them wisely, but spend them.

Boats would be nice, but we have a trading post for that

Well now, this is....quite huge. We got our second Mystic Hero after Bynwyn and rased on him alone, they are going to make a hell of an impact especially with our Mysticism speccing. And Hangwind is right, let us not be hubristic (hah!) and start small. We can afford to wait a few turns for currency.

On the matters of horses and infrastructures, I am going to wait until further arguments solidifies but I am leaning on trying to get some speed oriented boats out to deal with the Hathathyn or get some more Econ Expansion on Sacred Forest because that might narratively make the shamans happy enough to let the sponsorship and horse regulation pass, should it win that is.

Ugh, a trade city based on the gateway to the not!Mediterranean. And they have the ability to challenge our trading dominance. We're going to have to deal with them eventually...

@Academia Nut
Doesn't change my vote either way, but is the Study Tailings free or do we have to pay the -1 Econ -2 Mysticism cost?
(+1 Econ Expansion from True City, +1 Mysticism next turn from Library)

I'm half tempted to switch my Horse vote to Ignore. Yes, it's likely to lead to cavalry, but I'm not so sure that encouraging risk-seeking behaviors in our populace is the way to do it. On the other hand, regulation might lead to rodeos...

Policy is hard.

They have the ability to *limit* our trading dominance. They're not interested in exporting they're interested in middle-man-ing. Conquer the sea, then crush them.

I feel like doing everything that this girl suggests would seem to be bad for us. this may be a point at which our people look back at us and say wow, he is under this woman's spell. Unfortunately I don't see many better choices as what she asks for is reasonable. That being said i just finished reading this and i remember the whole tax thing we went through that created the young stallions in the first place. Let's take this innovation nice and slow.

Innovation in general is a risktaking behavior.

Small scale testing in the area where it's most relevant. Currency obsolete the Saltern DPT but that's life. (You don't not research Flight just because it obsoletes your Colossus, after all! ...well, maybe depending on how far ahead you are you -could- but you shouldn't.)
HORSEEEEEEEEEE CAVALRY. Yes, go get it. And do it properly.
Aqueduct is something I pushed for in the past, perfect time to get it.
And Study Tailings under a Mystic? Hell to the yes. We can eat a Legitimacy loss with a Main Proclaim Glory for stability next turn anyway, this is fine.

Excellent

While shiny, Hatathyn is about to attack next turn. Let us prepare ourselves to greet them in true Ymaryn fashion.
