... That belief, heavens above.

Good thing is metals should not be the deciding factor just quite yet. We have our own martial advantages.

Health study seems to be the way to go. If we can somehow prove that the cough is not of divine origin, we might be able to toss it out. In the long run, this belief will hurt.

If only this wasn't the worst possible time. I'm not quite sure what the hell "True City" Status means (it sounds like a shiny), but that chance of overcrowding just seems like a terrible idea - what with the new disease and all.

Hmmm, so that means that not only did any roll for disease go extremely poorly, but our mysticism roll was a crit fail >.>

...We need to get that belief against metals removed somehow.

So assuming my guess of this being whooping cough (based solely on that being a major disease dealing with coughing), then sadly if i understand wikipedia right there's not an animal version to vaccinate with, or any real treatment or prevention other than antibiotics and vaccination that is far more advanced than our primitive animal-disease kind D=

I think that we're set on these:
[] Magwyna (-1 Stability, other effects, [Poor Martial, Heroic Admin and Diplo])
[] Grand Sacrifice (-3 Econ, +2 Stability)

However, the following are up in the air:
[] Random Construction tech upgrade
vs
[] Random Admin tech upgrade
&
[] Take in some (Chance of stability loss, +2 Econ)
v
[] Everyone can come on in! (-4 Stability, chance of further loss, +11-15 Econ, further effects, chance of over crowding, Upper Valleyhome attains True City status)

I think that the Random Construction tech upgrade is useful in that it would help us well, construct things. However, we generally lead toward admin tech upgrades because they help our polity stay together.

Taking in some is judicious and keeps our stability high.

Taking in everyone gets us the shiny True City status, which probably comes w/ prestige. However, we're in the middle of tuberculosis or the flu or something, so crowding 8 Econ worth of people into a close space not be the best choice.

hmmm. I think that reassure option MIGHT be a way to get rid of that belief tomfoolery. Don't cite me on it though.

I mean, Study Health is basically mandatory next turn anyways, so comboing it with Study metal when we have the Stability to do so on the chance it proves it has no link isn't a bad idea

@Academia Nut
Why is our economy so low?
We should've gone from 6, +4 from our actions, -3 (or -4 if symphony) from megaproject.

[X] Random Admin tech upgrade
[X] Magwyna (-1 Stability, other effects, [Poor Martial, Heroic Admin and Diplo])
[X] Grand Sacrifice (-3 Econ, +2 Stability)
[X] Encourage people to come to a safe place (-3 Stability, chance of further loss, +8-11 Econ, further effects)

-5 stability at worst, we go down to -3 at worst (don't break). Then +2 from GS, we go to either -1 or 0. We get +5-8 econ, which is huge. We guarantee a tech advancement stolen from our neighbors or some other effect. We guarantee no overcrowding.
While we don't immediately achieve "True City", we get awfully close such that it'll achieve it naturally pretty soon.

Speaking of the disease, does anyone know what were dealing with exactly? I don't think there are any widespread epidemic that is caused by metal...right?
