[X] Expand Carrion Eaters (-1 Econ, -1 Mysticism, +1 Martial, many more Carrion Eaters, additional effects)
[X] Metal Workers
Next turn we should start on the dam and grad south shore.

[X] Study Stars (continues chain) + Survey Lands

Keep the chain going and see if we can find gems

[X] Xohyssiri
Probably our last chance to have an in with them.

By the time the first children born after the announcement of the project were taking their rites of adulthood, the first batches of salt were already being scraped up.

That's...about 15 years? Lol.
And yesss, saaalt! And Carrion Eaters can get even better trauma specialists, making them proto field surgeons when at war and proto surgeons when at peace. Cool.
Choose an Econ action
[] Expand Carrion Eaters (-1 Econ, -1 Mysticism, +1 Martial, many more Carrion Eaters, additional effects)
[] Study Stars (continues chain) + Survey Lands
[] Begin work on the Garden (-1 Econ, starts megaproject)

I mean...on one hand, we should definitely do Carrion Eaters for Health knowledge and stuff; on the other hand, chaining megaprojects.
Still, no. We can do a megaproject in a normal way very fast, so..
[X] Expand Carrion Eaters (-1 Econ, -1 Mysticism, +1 Martial, many more Carrion Eaters, additional effects)

As for the other vote...
[X] Metal Workers
If it is bronze, we have to. Although first hand knowledge about Xohyssiri would not hurt either. Still, on the off chance it is bronze, we have to pick it.

more of the guys who can now do primitive surgery sounds like a fantastic idea.

Heh. We actually got a legacy trait of doubling up costs on major projects while lowering the time it takes to make them all.

Our civilization really is optimized somewhat for mega-projects aren't they?

@Academia Nut
Did any other civilization do as much megaprojects as us?

[] Begin work on the Garden (-1 Econ, starts megaproject)

Question. If we pick this now, do we get another + 1 Stability? I mean, technically it is still the same turn.

Special Note: Because of the discovery of needing clean water and large amounts of salt to most effectively fight these sorts of disease, starting the Saltern or the Garden next turn will provide +1 Stability as the People are assured that the king is being proactive in protection against demons

Edit: I see my thoughts are most original and unique.

Also something worth noting is that the flowers mentioned in the update sound like opium which would allow us to make painkillers, something that is immensly useful and would probably justify at least a secondary trade expedition in order to acquire. If we're lucky we might even be able to figure out how to grow them.

Provinces - Megaproject x2
Shouldn't the provinces have done
2 Actions -> main megaproject -> The Law -> megaproject x2
3rd action -> study stars or expand econ
?
The healers also told of a rare flower that the People might be able to trade with the Highlanders for that made dealing with painful sickness and injury - it came from somewhere in the south-west, but there were traders who occasionally wandered up from that direction who might be able to be contacted through intermediaries.
I think this sentence got cut off--made dealing with painful sickness and injury....easier, presumably, but maybe something more specific that let's us know more about what type of medicinal plant it is
Or maybe they might take the relative peace of the western lowlands to send a mission to the Xohyssiri, who as far as anyone could tell the People had never actually fought and most stories were just ancient tales of monsters in the south-east.
Wait...our raids on them have been lost to history? ...So as far as teh People know, we've literally never been the aggressor, because we've forgotten the one war we were in that wasn't defending against nomads? Hmm...

We're getting a main action out of any of the econ picks, but I like the synergy Carrion Eaters has with our new knowledge of surgery.

Also, as fun as it might be to immediately push into a second megaproject, I want to expand into Southshore and build that copper mine first. The copper mine is a big deal.

Staying out of the diplomacy vote; I'm not going to be here to change my vote, and bronze vs. inroads to try and diplomance the dead priests for possibly the only time are hard to evaluate.

More Carrions eaters is a good thing.

[X] Xohyssiri

The provinces are set on megaproject support, it would be a waste not to do the garden.

By the way, that study stars + survey action is potentially quite valuable if we talk to the metal workers and they have discovered bronze - we'd have a chance to check our lands for tin immediately.

Ok so if we find out that the metal workers have made a significant discovery related to metal does it make sense to go for the copper mine and southshore next turn?
