I really wish I knew how centralization went up. I thought mega projects would do it, but I guess not?

Yet another megaproject? Well, we are still at Economy 6, so why not?

Holy Cow Balls, your on the verge of figuring out Innoculation (skipping germ theory entirely, but hey, that's how it works nowadays.)

Anyone still doubting the powor of Mysticism, please stand up!

Mastering a way to forever weaken the threat of plagues, on top of our already hilarious ability to laugh off droughts? Please!

Nab this to solidify the boat tech.

Good choice for furthering the cause for immediately hopping onto another Mega Project.

2783 And now to avoid all the discussion like a plague, lest it infect me with it's madness!

This provides synergy takes advantage of a hero unit and gives us a chance to deal the nomads a decisive blow. If we don't manage to surprise the nomads somehow tying them down will be very difficult and I'd prefer to only have to deal with them for one turn rather than having them turn into a permanent problem.

Also because of the effects of our canal any mega projects we complete give us additional art and mysticism which synergises well with a new mega project.

@Academia Nut
Any updates on the lowlands situation?

Also, just to confirm: Scourge Warding does not get any of our megaproject completion bonuses, correct? Since they only apply to land management and major engineering projects respectively.

edit: That being said I'm probably going with the bandwagon anyway since getting rid of disease is such a powerful game-changer, but it's worth checking first.

Updated stats:
General
Diplomacy 2
Economy 6
Martial 5

Stability 1 (neutral)

Organizational
Centralization 4
Hierarchy 6

Cultural
Art 6
Mysticism 4
Diplomacy went up because we have a new influence on the fishing villages to the north. Stability went up 1 as expected, and might go up to 2 with the new Hero Unit. ((Who's gay, again, yay))

So is it better to surprise the nomads with a flank attach that suffers from Poor Martial, or to hole up and see if we can use it later? I'm neutral and want someone to be mildly convincing at me.

I think I've made my stance on Wonders known before.

Even better, we now know the attacks can be propogated from person to person, and from wound to wound.

Demon powered Blackbirds here we come!

Only engieneering Megaprojects. And I don't think "genetic engineering" counts.

... I have to say, I really hope we can work an Expand Shrines action into this turn or the next at latest. More shamans might speed up the megaproject, and getting the shrine work done with a Heroic Mysticism leader means it's likely to go very well indeed.

For the new ritual against the scourging disease...
[] Transmit the knowledge of the cow warding far and wide (Increases Diplomacy, wildcard bonus, unknowable longterm effects) (We do need diplomacy... And a wildcard is cool)
[] Introduce the idea of cow warding to the shamans for use amongst the People (Reduces effects of disease, unknowable longterm effects) (Keeps the bonus just for us, which means the next time a plague event rolls around, we lose basically nothing (maybe) and everybody else loses out big, widening the gap even further than it usually does)
[] The ritual is incomplete, more study is required before it can be safely used on a widescale (Temporarily unlocks Scourge Warding megaproject) (Another megaproject, this one being the first government-mandated inoculation campaign, would be a huge boon for mysticism and health sciences, possibly enough that doctoring becomes it's own separate line of work from shamanism (which means more specialization, which means a higher threshold for skill retention))

Initial response to nomad attacks...
[] Hole up in the hills where the People are at maximum advantage (Fuck yall, we're good where we are)
[] Aggressively strike out to attempt to drive them back (Bonus protections for our plains settlements, slightly weaker effectiveness)
[] Build more boats and attempt a flank attack (Costs Econ to build new boats, which you will keep no matter the result) (Potentially hilariously effective and may push seafaring tech higher as well, not to mention a large modernization bonus for our fishers and granting us diplomacy for the far-off fishers liking what we did)

New heir selection
[] Bynwyn (Poor Martial, Mediocre Admin and Diplomacy, Heroic Mysticism, accelerates Scourge Warding megaproject while alive, chance for bonus Stability) (Combos well with Incomplete Ritual and either holing up or flanking, though flanking would be much better served through the war leader. ABSOLUTELY CONSIDER THE FOLLOWING PROJECT VOTE WILL BE USING THIS LEADER)
[] Standard Leader (No modifiers) (Strictly average,
[] War Leader (Poor Mysticism, Mediocre Admin, Average Diplomacy, Exceptional Martial) (Great with aggression or flanking, as well as internalizing the warding discover. ABSOLUTELY CONSIDER THE FOLLOWING PROJECT VOTE WILL BE USING THIS LEADER)

Once again, because twice isn't enough; ABSOLUTELY REMEMBER THAT BYNWYN WILL BE WHAT WE'RE TESTING NEXT TURN'S PROJECTS WITH! We cannot do war shit with him as our chief for the next set of projects, and diplo/administrative work is also more likely to fail!

CHOOSING BYNWYN EFFECTIVELY LOCKS US INTO VARIOUS MYSTICISM ACTIONS NEXT TURN!

I suggest at least one study action and either more birds or new sacreds to go with the megaproject (assuming we don't elect to double-main it).

Stability 1 (neutral)
Stability 1 is neutral? What happened to Confident?

additional Econ and Stability whenever completing a land management type Megaproject
Whenever the People complete a major engineering project, they also gain Art and Mysticism.
This megaproject doesn't offer these benefits, but is likely to offer plague resistance and stronger diplo bonuses after it's completed, should we choose to spread the knowledge.

*smacks forehead* yes, of course..

K, I'm wobbling back toward flank attack.
