 You just sound like your unwilling to see the fact that we are not the ones at fault here for once.
I was exactly thinking you're unwilling to consider Sayaka to be not at fault, since this:
If sayaka who now has done superhuman strength moments like during the practice spars hasn't realized she has super strength, it is her fault,
doesn't even make sense, considering the transformed/untransformed divide in magical feats.

And the hell? Blaming Sayaka for not noticing she's got super strenght at all times? o_O Did you expect her to around punching furniture?

Even if you could blame her for that, for Sayaka it's a matter of discovering her new powers she doesn't know about.

For us it was a choice to not elucidate her and let her realize she's got super strenght while untransformed whenever that happened. It just so happened she's broke Mami's table to realize her super strenght can be activated while untransformed, look at that.

We chose to leave things be, so Mami's table got broken. Really, as Sayaka's meguca senpai we should have told her about her super strenght and stamina, so it is our fault that Mami's table got broken.

EDIT: It is also Mami's fault.

-[] If Hitomi was talking about taking Oriko's arm in revenge for hers, that was not the case. Magical Girl fights are brutal, fought with weapons supposed to bring down giant monsters, and as long as a Magical Girl's Soul Gem is intact, she can survive and heal back from anything, assuming she can cleanse her own Soul Gem.
--[] Oriko lost an arm and her head during the fight; both Kirika and us got your legs maimed.
--[] If Oriko's still missing her arm, it's not for Hitomi's sake, but because it wasn't necessary for her to have it in order to speak with us and surrender, and because it would've been easier to put her down again, definitely, if she tried to fight us again. She's also slowly been healing it up, so it's not like she lost it forever.
Did Oriko lose her head? I don't recall. It's probably not necessary to be that graphic but otherwise I got no objections.

... It is also our fault for trying to tell sayaka what was going on, it is also our fault for doing so in Mami's house, it is also technically our fault for everything that happens in this quest, however quilting Sabrina about every single thing she could have prevented will lead to problems, in this case Sayaka is at fault because she lost her temper, she did the thing that cause the broken table herself because she lacks control.

Can we just 'K.I.S.S' cause trying for complicated vote trying to address and solve all the problems in one big go seems to be having problems.

We're the one in a position of autority, and the one holding knowledge Sayaka needs.

We chose to not allow her that knowledge, despite noticing Sayaka hadn't found out on her own.

Thus, we failed our responsibility to educate our kouhai who put her trust on us.

If you blame Sayaka for breaking the table here, you have to blame every people who ever hits anything as an unconscious gesture, because that's all Sayaka did.

She didn't know the table would break; in fact, she trusted the table to not break just like tables had not broken every other single time she hit them.

Accidentally breaking things when getting super powers is even a common literally trope. It's expected, and we should be lenient, specially as we did nothing to stop this from happening.

Kind of wish you could subtract, honestly:
[X] Calm down.
-[X] Ask everybody to please sit down. You know you should've done this many days ago, but you're trying to make things work right. If they let you, you want to explain what happened, and you want to listen to what they have to say. Then if they want, they can meet Oriko themselves.
-[X] Ask Mami to let go of Hitomi, and telepathically reassure her she wasn't gonna actually hurt you. We're among friends here. Meanwhile, if everybody agrees to sit down, help clean up the glass.
Out of your entire, massive vote, these are the only two phrases that are actually objectionable, mostly because they entirely invalidate everything that comes afterward. The first one concedes the entire argument in Sayaka's favor, at least in her mind it does, and means that everything that comes afterward is so much wasted air. The second one pointedly dismisses Mami's concern for Sabrina, which just shows her that we again aren't acknowledging her own insecurities and instabilities, and just harrying off on our own plans and expecting her to obey us. Remove those two phrases and we're all good.

Why? I absolutely hold Sabrina accountable for almost everything that has happened in the quest. Because she absolutely is responsible for most of it. It's one of the reasons I'm so pro science. Because I see just about every horrible thing that has happened in the PMAS Universe as my fault for failing to convince you guys to develop the power to stop it.

We need to address Sayaka specifically in some way because she's about to do something stupid, like running away, like I think, or punching Sabrina, like others think.
Sayaka, back on her heels with head lowered, ready to spring.

On the up side, I'm making good progress with the other stuff that's happening, and my update rate will hopefully return soon. >_>
Damn stuff for daring to happen. It's always the same with stuff! *Shakes arm violently*

We have a swimming pool's worth of Grief over our head. If she starts to try something we can bury her up to her eyeballs in it; in fact we should probably prepare to do just that, since she's already proven to not entirely be in control of her own actions.

If, however, we start apologizing to her again right now, right after she flew off the handle and is ranting about how wrong we are, she's going to stop listening with her ears and only listen with her mouth, and all the rest of the vote is going to be wasted breath. We've already tried apologizing, and it's already backfired, in exactly the way I've described; doing the same thing again expecting a different result is just madness.

And there's no excuse at all for "asking" Mami to let go of Hitomi right now. We already owe her an apology for not taking care of ourself; there's no need at all to compound that error by ignoring her concerns right when they've proven to be somewhat valid. Be reassuring, but let's let her be protective; it'll make her feel a little better and doesn't cost us anything.

You're right.
[Q] Kiss her, you fool!
[Q] Swoon. "My hero!"
-[Q] Let yourself drop in Mami's arms.
--[Q] Then kiss her.
---[Q] This'll shock Sayaka and Hitomi out of their anger, right? Hitomi will totally go "girls can't love girls"!

We don't want Sayaka to try something stupid. o_O And it's not even an apology, just re-stating we should have let them know everything last week.

And if Mami doesn't let go of Hitomi on her own, we need to prompt her. We can't discuss things calmly while having the injured, only non superpowered girl in the room restrained.

And if Mami doesn't let go of Hitomi on her own, we need to prompt her. We can't discuss things calmly while having the injured, only non superpowered girl in the room restrained.
Yes, but we can't start messing with Mami anymore, so...

[Q] We have to be fair. Since Hitomi's being restrained, we all have to be.
-[Q] Bury everyone in the room up to their neck in solid Grief.
--[Q] Including yourself; have to be fair after all.
---[Q] Shape Grief into monoliths; label with "ELEES-01" through "EELES-04"

Seriously, though, let's just let Mami come down from her panic attack on her own. We can be reassuring, but we shouldn't be suggesting things that she's uncomfortable with; she, after all, is the girl among our friends who does deserve the coddling that we're forcing on everyone else.

[Q] Be Sadbrina.
-[Q] I tried so hard, and got so far, but in the end... it doesn't even matter...
--[Q] Become a dark edgelord like Best Buddy. She understands you and doesn't afraid of anything.

Everything between her shoulders and her upper jaw was described as a brutalized mass of flesh. Homu wasn't fucking around with low caliber shots.
She was fucking around with high caliber shots. :V

I feel like we should point out a few things:

1) Oriko burned down Sayaka's house knowing that we would show up in time to save her (even then, she wanted until she personally saw us arrive before leaving)--precog, after all.
2) Oriko burned down Sayaka's house with the specific intention of saving Sayaka's life.
3) We really weren't in any condition to go all the way over to Hitomi's home in the middle of the night (while wounded, no less), fill her in on the entire situation, and then get her opinion about what we should do with Oriko and Kirika. And since Sayaka was in an ambulance, we couldn't have asked her, either.
4) There were two options: leaving Oriko and Kirika maimed and under house arrest, or executing them. Which would they have preferred?
5) Oriko and Kirika were a major help in stopping a war, saving a lot of lives.
6) Oriko, entirely of her own volition, informed us of a vision she had that saved Sayaka's life.

So far I feel we've avoided trying to justify Oriko's actions, specially if they were based on her powers, because... it'd sound like bullshit. It's basically only Oriko's word, after all.

6) Oriko, entirely of her own volition, informed us of a vision she had that saved Sayaka's life.
We did inform her of this.
"Sayaka, that night a Witch tried to take you... we wouldn't have known if she hadn't warned us. She saved your life that night."

@Karnewarrior Do you approve of these changes?
Looks really good. I think I might make a couple slight modifications to the wording; If you don't mind.

[] to Mami: "Thanks, Mami."
-[] to Sayaka: "Please give me moment."
--[] to Hitomi: "'Pronounce Judgement' how, exactly? By not killing them? Or by locking them away? What would you have had me do?"
---[] after Hitomi's answer break to voting.

{MAMI: We need to get around to Sayaka and Hitomi before their rage boils long enough. We're close enough to Mami that a quick thank you is functionally identical to the long drawn out one; in fact, we're so often hyper-affectionate with the mumi (cuz she's mumi obviously) that something honest and short might resonate better. Changing things up a little shouldn't hurt.}
{SAYA: Not really a great way to convince her to stay; if she's going to bolt, she's going to bolt. Honestly, I still say that if Blueberry wants to punch us a little, we can let her; as long as she's not breaking bones, we can heal and it'll be great for her state of mind. On the other hand, we didn't do anything too wrong, so we should be ready to block if she decides she's a wookie and tries to rip our arms off}
{HTMI: Okay Princess, what? We fucked up not telling you and Sayaka before hand, but the "Right to Pronounce Judgement" is most DEFINITELY ours. Or more specifically, Mami's, but in that situation, it was delegated. Even in the Human law enforcement system, the victim isn't allowed to determine the punishment of the guilty.}

We don't want Sayaka to try something stupid. o_O And it's not even an apology, just re-stating we should have let them know everything last week.
What we say and what Sayaka hears are two different things. Frankly it doesn't matter what we say; what matters is what Sayaka hears. Right now the current vote opens with something Sayaka will hear as "You are right; I am wrong," and at that point we may as well stop talking because she's not going to hear anything else.

[X] Calm down.
-[X] Ask everybody to please sit down and let you explain, so you can then hear what they have to say once they know what happened. Then if they want, they can meet Oriko themselves.
-[X] Telepathically reassure Mami that Hitomi she wasn't actually gonna hurt you. We're among friends here. Meanwhile, if everybody agrees to sit down, help clean up the glass.
[X] Ask Hitomi what she means. If she means...
-[X] ... We should've turned them to the authorities:
--[X] What would she have had us do?
--[X] If she brings up normal justice proceedings: Hitomi, how do you try a teenage girl for a crime based on evidence that you don't remember exists? How do you hold a person who can wrench apart the metal bars of a cell, or turn invisible, or teleport? Because of Kyubey's memory wipes, and because of the unpreparedness of the criminal justice system, the judiciary is incapable of putting a magical girl on trial. Furthermore, no equivalent institution exists for magical girls. In fact, the truth of the matter is that, in general, no institutions exist at all for magical girls.
--[X] There is nobody who has a 'right' who judge anybody else; there's only justice if the strongest Magical Girl decides to be just, and then only if you agree with them. Magical Girls normally need to either kill or kick out each other out of their cities, because there's not enough Grief Seeds for everybody to live on. (If necessary, mention how our power is entirely unique in the whole world).
--[X] Last week, we stopped a war that was brewing on Sendai, before it actually got going strong; they might have heard about the 'gas explosion' cover story in the news. We did our best to rescue everyone we could, doing magic in plain sight, but today nobody remembers that; two people died and their friends and families won't know it was because some groups of superpowered teenagers were fighting for their own lives.
--[X] We fought Oriko and Kirika, and we imprisoned them. We did it with no fatalities, and because we did it, nobody else has been hurt by them. And they aren't dead over it.
--[X] ... That's your whole motivation here. You're trying to keep people alive. It's not easy. Oriko and Kirika are alive only because Magical Girls can live with horrible injuries, with missing limbs... or even having their heads cut off. Even then, if Oriko hadn't agreed to the house arrest, we would've have to kill them. That or letting them go to keep doing the exact same things they'd been doing.
-[X] ... If Hitomi was talking about taking Oriko's arm in revenge for hers, that was not the case. Magical Girl fights are brutal, fought with weapons supposed to bring down giant monsters, and as long as a Magical Girl's Soul Gem is intact, she can survive and heal back from anything, assuming she can cleanse her own Soul Gem.

She's also slowly been healing it up, so it's not like she lost it forever.
[X] Apologize to Sayaka. You did all this thinking about people lives, and that's unfair to her, because what's happened to her was just as horrible and she doesn't deserve second place just because some Magical Girls want to play with other people's lives. We're sorry. But we can only ask her for her help, so things like this don't keep happening.

[x] She nearly took my leg off with a landmine. I've got at least as much right to pass judgment as either of you.
[x] And no, I didn't deliberately take Oriko's arm as punishment or whatever nonsense you're thinking. This was a war. Real battles between magical girls aren't like anime, they're brutal, and people get hurt very badly. During the fight Oriko got hit by fire from a medium machine gun. A normal person would have died, but a magical girl can survive anything as long as their Soul Gem is intact. I spent hours reattaching her head. I didn't feel up to trying to regrow her arm as well.
[x] Or maybe you think that getting shot and put under house arrest wasn't punishment enough? Well, what would you suggest? Turn her over to the police? Human authorities can't stop a magical girl, and human prisons can't hold them. And that's assuming that the police could even remember that she existed, or have you forgotten about Kyubey's habit of erasing people's memories to keep magic a secret? The only justice for magical girls is what we make for ourselves. So what would you have done? Do you think I should have executed them? Could you have done such a thing? Because I don't think I could. You don't know how hard I had to argue for sparing their lives.
[x] Maybe I should have told you sooner. It's not exactly an easy thing to bring up! I was worried you might do something rash. Which, if you'll note the shards of fucking glass around your feet, turned out to be the case. Maybe I didn't have to right to make that decision, but I wanted to protect you. I didn't want you to end up selling your soul to Kyubey for revenge. I wouldn't want any girl to ever have to subject herself to this life if I could prevent it. God knows I never would have if I hadn't already been dying! But it didn't do a damn bit of good. You wound up making the contract anyway. It would have been a lot easier to keep this secret forever, but I'm telling you now because I thought you deserved to know the truth. If you want to hate me for that, that's your right, but all I ever wanted was to protect the people I care about. All of you.

[X] Take a deep breath, and rub your face a bit.
[X] Look at Sayaka. "If I may answer both of you?"
[X] You absolutely deserved to know. I cannot justify having not told you before now, I can only try to proceed as best as possible. That is what I am trying to do, here.
[X] Look at Hitomi. Hitomi, before I can answer you, I need to ask you a question. Before I do, let me tell you that this is honestly a question I don't have the answer to, and that I'm asking it in good faith.
-[X] What would you have had me do?
--[X] If she brings up normal justice proceedings: Hitomi, how do you try a teenage girl for a crime based on evidence that you don't remember exists? Furthermore, no equivalent institution exists for magical girls. In fact, the truth of the matter is that, in general, no institutions exist at all for magical girls. It's essentially feudalism, only because of the incentive system that's in place, instead of taking oaths from weaker parties, the strong evict or kill other magical girls who encroach on their territory. Last week, there was a war. You might have heard about part of it on the news, it was billed as a gas explosion in Sendai. Even though the winning side helped with search and rescue afterward, and healed victims, three people died.
---[X] We fought Oriko and Kirika, and we imprisoned them. We did it with no fatalities, minimal property damage, and because we did it, nobody else has been hurt by them. And they aren't dead over it.
----[X] Form a grief privacy construct.
-----[X] You must think that a terrible thing to treat as a success, and you're right: it's what society looks like without government. And I believe it is within the capacity of the Mitakihara group -- us -- to change that. To make things so that Kyubey coming in your window and offering you a wish doesn't mean child soldiers. But right now, the first priority has to be Walpurgisnacht, because if it's not stopped, there won't be a Mitakihara.
------[X] Stop. Look at Sayaka. I'm sorry, I get carried away with these things, and I shouldn't... Not now.

[X] Calm down.
-[X] Ask everybody to please sit down. You're trying to make things work right. If they let you, you want to explain what happened, then if they want, they can meet Oriko themselves.
-[X] Mami can let go of Hitomi, and you try to pick up all the glass shards and put them away quickly for now.
[X] The truth of the Magical World is that nobody has the right to pass judgement on anyone. Rather, there's nobody who can pass judgement on Magical Girls besides other, stronger Magical Girls; which usually means one girl kicking another one out of their city... or killing her. It almost came down to that.
-[X] It's something you're trying to change: You thought they deserved to know, and have a voice in this.
[X] Try to explain your motivation: You wanted to contain the situation without anybody dying. It was hard. You had to spend several hours putting Oriko's head back in place after Homura managed to stop her; and that was after Mami and Homura spent more than an hour regrowing all the flesh in your leg.
-[X] At the end, Oriko had reasons for what she did. Terrible reasons, she herself has admitted that she was wrong, but at the end nobody died that day, and not entirely because or our actions. You think Oriko can do better, and needs to assume responsibility for her actions.
