it's probably important to remember what happened with norm's a bit different, and was the result of multiple other actions and a really large delay on doing it iirc? (might have been a different action to normal as well, actually? i remember soem "spend some time with norm" personal but not 100% sure this was that)As long it don't roll a negative Chat with the Bossman increase Loyalty, obviously bigger the roll the more these characters get attached to Heinz and more they develop. When Norm have gone to San Fransokyo he rolled a 15 in one of these chats, I believe, but still get a +5 Loyalty.
EDIT: on rereading stuff turns out there's a chat with the bossman for him that'll show up in "coming to terms" but i think that's different?
in other news, even if it caused them to be unavailable for a couple turns, his +5 bonus seems like a permanent buff rather than a three turn one, which is pretty nice?
what I'm trying to say is that results for interactions will vary based on existing relationships. like if a hero unit has hidden traits or something that can actively be changed by getting to know someone more, a talk would be more effective than someone who's antisocial/mercenary and talking can't change that. just something to bear in mind, i guess?
(good example of stuff happening differently IIRC is how something with russ a while ago reduced our anti-government loyalty malus as they got to know us (and how we aren't evil) better. might not have been a bossman chat either though lol:)
