I get the sense the Dream Queen is probably gonna be more personal, and focused on one specific hero, meaning we can pump his loyalty in the run-up.

I'll switch to to Dream Queen if necessary, but good god, I have no idea why anyone thinks making Negaduck a). More dangerous, and b). actually paying attention to us as opposed to us being one of half-a-dozen afterthoughts, is in any way a good idea.

I mean, to be fair, A. We are an explicit factor in the plan and B. It specifically says he won't harm us or Russ. Of course, he could still harm our city, our daughter, our son...

I still think Janna should study the book instead, since the outcome sounds a lot more immediately useful, but I suppose we can compromise and do it next turn.

How much are we charging for admissions into our security bunkers? Selling pre-orders, or maybe waiting for the crisis to begin to price gouge?

Making Negaduck more dangerous for the country at large potentially is going to bite us in the ass in terms of connections for future crises so that's out. Where even if we do a lot of loyalty grinding for Russ in this turn and the next, I don't like our odds of getting the needed secret and getting our Occult department up and running to deal with the Dream Queen.

Doing unplanned sucks, especially in the worlds where we get no actionable info, but if that's the case then it is what it is. We can actually do a lot of the generic prep for the F5 members without it actually costing us too much in terms of action econ when it comes down to it considering a lot of the secondary effects. So I think the trade offs here are not to the same degree of the other main two options.
 
Ok, heres my Argument against unplanned.

To do Unplanned we need to dedicate an ungodly amount of Money and actions to trying to get it right. Creatives Negsy and Dream Queen are scary, but dont punish us for guessing wrong like the Fearsome Five do.

I'll type a more in depth one when i get home.

Yeah, going with these two, even though these debuffs Russ a bit and has a chance of doing exactly what Xanatos wanted us not to do, the other 2 are considerably worse. Not getting any info means we wasted 1 of our 2(not even guaranteed the 2nd turn) prep-turns and risking dealing with the DQ sooner than we can handle (or even know we have to deal with her in the first place) sucks even worse.

One thing I'm worried about is that Celena's prophecy isn't talking about Negaduck at all, that means we may have possibly ANOTHER CRISIS in the corner, which will most certainly involve us in some way (even if just collateral). So starting the clock on a possibly 3rd Crisis is something I wanna say "HELL NO!!!". Let's bite the bullet with those 2 and finds ways to weather the storm. Pissing Xanatos if/when he finds out we (Possibly) messed his plans and possibly scarring Russ a bit more if worth it if we managed to survive Negaduck with Minimun losses and for that we need the info.

Furthermore we can also give the feds the info on who is attacking where, which they can then use to make sure Megavolt doesn't, say, fry the MCP's main server room, or prepare a powdered pudding trap for Liquidator.

Creative Negaduck is a frankly horrific idea but we really can't afford to not have the info. We need to know which of The Five (or more) is coming to Danville. I don't like the idea of the Dream Queen showing up right after for our next Crisis, but can we really afford to not know what we're facing?
