Fair enough. I just don't see the cannon vote as giving them any indication of what we want from them or what we're willing to offer. Information gather is all very well and good, but...that's it? We can definitely get more done than that.

By the way...

[] Inquire if they knew about the healing circuit that the Sendai group was currently running with Rin beforehand.
Was there a particular reason why you removed this line?

's vote covers basically everything. And is basically CG's vote with the added incentive for them to cooperate with us (due to the 'when this is all over' condition).

re: confusion over the line about the healing circuit.

It is a little unclear to me... what precisely are we asking them?

I think I know the reason we are asking about the circuit: It can tell us how long and how widely known the circuit is, and lets us know the possibility that a witchout was involved at some point; but the 'beforehand' could be referring to 'before' several events.

I'm assuming that it is asking 'did you know about/was the healing circuit running before Sendai started accusing them of murder'. But the 'beforehand' could mean 'before the accusation' or 'before University group contacted ishinomaki' or 'before the ambush that happened today'. Anyone know for certain? Maybe it would be clearer as "How long have you known about the healing circuit?" or something similar.

Sorry to be pedantic, but if I'm confused (and I'm in Sabrina's head) then it's possible that Ishinomaki will also be confused when we ask the question.

Anyway, if they seem willing to play ball then hopefully we can use them to set up a meeting with the University group tomorrow (or later this evening - what time is it, anyway?) that doesn't begin with us supressing violent Magical Girls.

Basically, the intent is to find out (somewhat indirectly) if Ishinomaki received fair warning that Sendai would be conducting it's services in their city. Mami received fair warning that Sendai would be passing through (or near) her territory. It would be suspicious if Ishinomaki wasn't warned of their entry before hand. It would lend some weight that Akiko was pursuing a truce, or place it in doubt if no warning was given.

Ah, so it is 'before Sendai entered the city'. Gotcha.

My god, even the avatars are bandwagoning now.

Apparently, no one appreciates the sheer irony of Sabrina--whose goal is to break their system--being hijacked by a bunch of Incubators.

Also: the problem with lying is that it causes people to not trust you. Which is bad if you need them to trust you. And trust is kind of important in a long-term relationship, too.

It isn't. The detail is only significant because Homura believes we're here because of Madoka's wish and is giving our words more regard because of it. Other then that, its a cool but otherwise harmless detail.
I'm arguing the point that it isn't irrelevant. The mystery of how and why Sabrina came into existence is going to become relevant at some point, and I'd rather we not get so attached to the Madoka wish theory that we end up getting blindsided when it turns out we are mistaken.

Dude, you're the only one who's making a big deal out of this. Seriously, you're making a mountain out of a mole hill. If we're wrong, then we're wrong. Big whoop.

While there might be some great, shocking revelation that'll undermine Sabrina...her nature makes her immune to the biggest problem with the setting's secrets: how the girls themselves react to it.

The Madoka wish theory is plausible, but more than that it's useful- Homura wants to believe it and it's completely consistent with our approach, mindset, and goal- so as we have no way to tell if it's true or not, why bother worrying about it?

Remember, Sabrinas thoughts reflect those of the thread. This is SV. Us learning that we are actually a humaniform witch with our sanity intact would be to go 'huh, thats neat'. So I doubt that any revelation of our background is going to phase us.
