Offering Hego a wire is a good move here. If things go poorly it's unlikely he'll be able to call us on a cell phone Olympia gave him. A wire let's him contact us secretly and immediately and gives us an extra ear in the building.
If he doesn't want the wire he can always turn it down, but not offering is just going in half blind by choice.
Mirage has every reason to be suspicious and she's an intrigue specialist, even if she doesn't know exactly what's happening it's in character to try to be as in control of the situation as possible and learn as much as she can.
So with that in mind, and differences from Nystical's plan bolded:

Hego will try and talk things out with Olympia if he gets the chance, this will discredit the 'Mirage said Mr. Incredible found Kronos a poor employer' story. Also I would prefer for Ms. Pena to make no allusions to her former job out in public.

Giving Hego the phone number is really not of much help here. In the very likely event something happens here at the present gala, he probably won't have the time to pull out his phone and call her. He certainly won't be able to do it without it being obvious what he's doing, without Olympia listening in on the phone they almost certainly made and gave him. If we want him to keep in contact with us if things go wrong we want him to be able to contact us quickly and discreetly. If anybody's got an evil plot involving Hego - which we don't know is the case IC, but enough stinks that an Intrigue expert like Mirage would absolutely be taking every precaution she could, especially given Olympia's foundation and past - he's not getting off a phone call if they don't want him to. But a wire they don't know about could absolutely be a wrench in their plans.

I'll stop harping on it after this but really guys, we're making a mistake not offering Hego a communicator. Its really unlikely any threat, whether it's a Screensaver plot, Sinatron or anything else, would allow Hego to call us up on his (definitely bugged) cell phone.
Stuff is probably going to happen here at the gala and giving Hego a phone number won't help with that. Mirage is too smart not to take steps to prepare and make sure she knows as much about the situation as possible. Let's offer him Mezmerella's earpiece, if he turns it down (which I doubt he would) we're no worse off, but if he takes it we've got an extra set of ears, a line of communication... we and Hego both become far better prepared to react to trouble no matter the form it takes.

Also, If we do that then Mez won't have her communicator which is definitely going to come up as a plot point.
She might do something crazier without Mirage in her ear keeping her contained.

Uh, guys? Of course "Olympia" treated Mr. Incredible badly back when. That was when it was Kronos, run by Syndrome. Saying stuff about how the company used to do things is pointless at best, distracting at worst, because they blatantly reversed their company policy.
While making Hego cautious of his employers is a great idea, bringing up anything the company did while it was Kronos is not the way to do it.

Possibly, but that's a very easily solved problem. Give her Lizzie's or Marco's. We can switch headpieces around if need be. I see the likely benefits of having one on Hego as way outweighing the potential problems of a missing one for the group, since unless all four split into solo parties (which would probably be a bad idea anyways) they can all stay in touch.
We'd be passing on a nearly guaranteed advantage to avoid some pretty edge-case hypothetical trouble. My plan is otherwise mostly Nystical's, so anybody who wants to stay in close contact with Hego could consider the switch.

While I'd love to be able to give Hego one of our coms, I don't think we can afford to do so in front of everyone like this. Hego is one of the major centers of attention at this party, and even if we would be able to give him a com quietly, I don't think he'd be able to receive it quietly.
For that matter, we should probably assume that anything we say to him could be overheard, so no saying anything too sensitive.
EDIT: a possible way around this would be to have one of our people get a com and a note with more sensitive information to him at a less conspicuous time and place.

Hego was noting that something felt off about all this. So I'm trying to take his response to my leading question into account, so we don't have to have another vote on this conversation.
Refinements are extremely welcome, as I mostly just want to get this approach out there for discussion.
