I see this one getting a lot of traction but I'm not a fan. Hego hasn't "noticed it" he has a very vague feeling of unease. Being that cagey and non-specific will just make him paranoid without giving it any direction or form, we should be at least a bit more specific than that.

It sounds cool, like a line from a movie, sure. But it would just be maddeningly confusing for Hego since he doesn't really know what's happening - "There might be more to the attacks than meets the eye" or "Something might be amiss at this party" at least gives something concrete for him to build his suspicions off of even if we don't want to go the full route and talk about Sinatron or Syndrome.

That gives 2 leads: the death of Mr. incredible, and Sinatron. and it gets Hego to maybe call us for help? It's important to note that I do not believe that it's a matter of public record that Incredible ever worked for Kronos, so if Hego wants to know more? He has to call us.

Bringing up Mr. Incredible is too much. For Mirage, for Hego, and for a very public venue. And as much as it would be a helpful mindset to put Hego in (if he believed it, and if he took the lesson we want him to take from it), Mirage was more involved in it than the Deavors or Sinatron ever were.

Agreed. I think we should stay generic, warn him to be on his guard, and re-iterate that he has friends at DEI.

Some baseline assumptions in my plan:
1. There's no Long term here. We are currently in the quest where shit hits the fan. The lead up was done prior in interludes. this is the climax of Incredibles 2 where Evelyn targets her brother's Anti-SRA party. And we are currently at her brother's Anti-SRA Party.
2. There's no public record of Mr. Incredible working for Kronos.
3. There's no public record of Mr. Incredible being active at all since the SRA.
4. Mirage Quit Kronos after the SRA.
5. There Is public record of Mirage quitting, and Hego knows around when that happened.
6. There's no time for Hego to do any research, and even if there was, the man has 7 intrigue, so he's probably not going to find stuff on Mirage being involved in Mr. Incredible's death
7. THEREFORE, Telling Hego that Mirage Worked With Mr. Incredible at Kronos and that Mr. Incredible was treated badly causing mirage to quit will tell Hego the following information only:
7a. That Mr. Incredible Worked for Kronos and Hego is not the first Superhero they hired.
7b. That They treated Mr. Incredible badly enough that mirage, who as they both know works for a self-professed 'Evil Scientist' had enough moral qualms about working at Kronos that she quit.
7c. That Kronos is therefore somewhat untrustworthy and should not be relied upon.

It's NOT telling Hego "I helped kill Mr. Incredible."

Now, we are working on a short time frame. My assumption is that the Gala is about to be crashed either next update or the one after. With those assumptions in mind (and I'm happy to argue over their validity) and with Paddywagon Man's suggestion on Discord, I present the following changes to my suggestion:

Rather than hinting that Kronos is behind anything specific to a specific person, just remind him that the whole corporation was anti cape before the sudden switch?

The goal of the entire thing is to get Hego to call us when shit hits the fan. I'm not a big fan of cutting out the portions intended to tell Hego to call us, and hinting that shit will hit the fan soon.

Modified Strat's vote to make more sense.
  • Giving Hego her personal phone number makes a lot more sense than giving him a random security earbud for a company he no longer works when he probably already has one from Olympia. Plus shipping potential is funny.
  • Removed the direct reference to Kronos doing anything bad to Mr. Incredible, changed it to a reminder that they did bad things to capes in general.
  • Removed the paranoia inducing stuff and having it come across more as a genuine offer of friendship

His outfit has been updated ever so slightly, the colors slightly shifted to be more in tune with Olympia's color scheme, spandex rippling over firm… you blink. "Hello, Hego.
