Hrm. It's hard for me to make up my mind. There's good reasons to vote either way from a mechanics standpoint, and either option is credibly in character for Doof.

[X] Let LOVEMUFFIN go

I think that LOVEMUFFIN is still salvageable, and even after all this I kind of like them as characters. Monogram won't like it, and our other heroically-inclined units may to a lesser extent be displeased as well, but I'm willing to accept those consequences.

You know?

I just realized that the Huntsclan are going to absolutely lose their shit about Jumba's dragon. I suspect that they may strike against us directly in relatively short order.
I mean it isn't actually magic, it's a biologically engineered monstrosity.

I'm not sure they'll listen though. . .

This topic was briefly spoken of between myself and a few others and the resulting answer basically was that whatever happens happens. Dragon Hunters probably don't care if it's not magically originated, they will fear that it will learn about magic and hunt it either way, because the Huntsclan isn't made up of rational people but instead bigots that are extremely wary of anything magical in origin or appearance. I mean, look at what they did during the Gargoyle invasion the other turn, they came and attempted slaughtered any gargoyle who got in there way, not caring if they were trying to help them or not.

Tbf, with us intending to contact Magical NYC we´ll be landing on their shitlist either way, since that way we´ll be taking a stance in their struggle against David (more specifically, on *his* side against them)

So I am not too hung up about that.

A thing to note is: for people saying that Doof needs to do more Villainy, well, what's more Evil than arresting people for following your exact orders? Look, let's hear from Frieza, Frieza is a Masterclass at Evil.

Now, we won't be killing Lovemuffin, so there's still a ways to go, but at least it's a start.

Went back and read over all the stuff about hero units. The stuff about Candace gaining Paranoia points whenever the Mysterious Force trait activates has disappeared. @Made in Heaven is there a reason for that?

The consequences of arresting them may include ENCOM, the program created by them which house the refugees. So the lesser evil is having Door take responsibility for that order and either tighten the leash or redirect Lovemuffin towards evil kings with a tight leash to not involve innocents.

I am confused about this. You seem to think that DoofOS is a serious contender for ENCOM. It isn't.

And LOVEMUFFIN is the absolute last thing on Master Control's mind.

OWCA does not have mindwiping tech and neither do you.

He didn't build an Amnesia-inator!

You'd think he'd remember doing that.

Ah, but the point isn't to prove it to them, it's to prove it to everyone else!

"Oh, we were beginning research on bigger carnivores - you know, Tyrannosaurs, Spinosaurs, Carnotaurs, fun things! - and one of my scientists decided to try making something that looked like a dragon for fun! It was pretty harmless, of course, we didn't make it want to go after people, don't be absurd, but now you killed it because you thought it looked like some sort of horrible magical demon! For shame!"

PR drop for Huntsclan noises

Man , when Redacted gets back from his trip his bosses will probably be much more approving of his job performance. The moment he was gone, Doofenschmirtz released a horde of mad scientists on his own city.

That is, if people get back their memories of him when he gets back. Agent Unknown having no past might be too thematic to pass up.

I am deeply confused by this sentiment that LM did what we told then to do.

Because I am stalwart in the argument that we didn't.

We told them to do Mad Science.

We did not tell them to assault our citizens.
We did not tell them to destroy our town.
We did not tell them to go after us.

These things are not what we told them. When we told them to do Mad Science these rules were implied due to us being thier boss.

Instead, they simply rolled back into doing the exact same thing they did before we took over the Tri-State Area.

They did not account for changed variables. They did not examine the differences in circumstances.

Instead, they just repeated the old actions without any thought of change.

That isn't the actions and the means of a Mad Scientist. That isn't even the actions of a Mad Lab Assistant.

Those are the actions of Mad Lab Rats. Running loops through mazes. They can try to push the blame on us, and you know what.

Yes.

We are to blame for treating them like colleagues and employees. But that time I'd over. They can stay, but only as test subjects.

Khan, get the net!

I'm mainly voting to show my support for that line to Monogram.

I know this vote might not be valid, but I really want to say that line. Plus it's not like the outcome of this vote is in question.

There is valid reasons for removing LOVEMUFFIN like freeing spot for another hero and not losing progress on OWCA but PR angle don't work for me, since PR is what preventing us from doing more active supervillainy like subsume crime or perform supervillainy. It's not like past Doof cared about his PR and I would still prefer if he did not bend over some social expectations. If public can't appreciate wonders of mad science then we need to make them see our way instead of conforming to normal. Include mad science in school education or something.
My friend, villains who twirl their mustaches are easy to spot. Those who clothe themselves in good deeds are well-camouflaged.

I said it once, I will say it again. If my place of work asked me to clean and I covered the place with dish soap and watered it down with a high-pressure water hose, I would be fired for the damages I caused.

We asked LOVEMUFFIN to clean (Mad Science) and they covered our territory with soap and used a high pressure water hose to clean (caused terrorism that damaged our income and rep). They should be given the axe.
Yes.

So 50 to 13?

Whoo! Hopefully my Omake can get Canon status.

[X] Attempt to arrest LOVEMUFFIN

And I have come up with an Inator idea.
[The Bueno Nacho-Inator]
The good: you inflict the horror of Bueno Nacho to your foes. Every other King that has people that eat suffers -10 to all actions. Doof gains 1 income because while it may be across the States it's still Bueno Nacho.
The bad: You miss aimed and it hit Doofiana. You and your hero's that eat suffer -10 to all actions. You still gain 1 income because you own it.
Both you take a PR hit because people know you own this horror of restaurant.

Speaking of Inators, here is one I cooked up with the revelation of Sephiroth's canon status!

Pixel Life-Inator
Your latest Inator has brought a video game character and all their abilities to life in all their pixelated glory! A randomly selected video game character that is canon to the setting is manifested into the real world! Depending on the which video game character is selected, they will either become a new Hero Unit, Nemesis, or neutral party depending on their personality.
