I'm not going to weigh in on the logic of either side's arguments, but I will ask that everyone read over what they write and really consider if the words they used are polite and won't be inflammatory intentionally or not. You cant account for people's tolerances perfectly but at least try to say your piece without saying things that can be easily construed as overly dismissive of the other side of the argument, thank you.

Ye. Snorri can make up to three banners for his gang and they can potentially form a set combo, with the right arrays

Ye. Snorri learned about him from the Dum survivors and also from whatshisname the gazulite priest who joined up with the throng on the way there. Snorri doesn't necessarily know exactly how h-man fits into a broader chaos cosmology but he understands the basics: huge chaos dude, formed his own chaos dwarf polity for a while but got smote mightily by gazul, has a cult of insidious worshippers who try to infiltrate dwarf society and overthrow it from within. Snorri's got a grudge against him too, but it was presented with the understanding it's realistically not going to be struck out, just like Snorri's grudge against all chaos everywhere isn't going to be struck out.

It hasn't been mentioned all that much, but... Clan Winterhearth might end up providing the King of Karak Grom.

Sure it's not on the scale of the Iggun told Karstah about the founding of Clan Winterhearth. But this seems like a deed in the making.

Could that be a hint of Snorri intuiting a portion of the Rune Chant for a new Rune?
 
Also, hypothetically speaking: If we are hoping that the Banner version of the Master Rune of Purification does something to Demons... how do we test it?

I'm hoping it causes the area around it to cause spontaneous combustion in demons.
Or at least more hostile to them.
I suspect the impurities in Metal require a lot more concentrated heat to remove than Demons, which are essentially only impurity, and no substance.

First post in the thread, but if this rune could casually remove one of the greatest threats in the setting it should take way more than 8 actions to make. At least with the weapon rune version you still have to actually hit them. Speaking of which

I don't want to wait to finish MPurification Banner research before making a banner for them. Really I consider finishing this reseach very low priority now that we see the level of investment it will take and how much we are going to get out of it. 4 actions for a single banner rune that "might" be useful isn't really a great use of our time when we already have many other great runes to put on banners. I supported studying MPurification, but that was because I thought that might have some overlap with our alchemy and rune metal research, but that doesn't seem to be the case. Don't regret putting the action in it is useful information, but I don't see putting anymore actions into it as worthwhile unless something big changes.
