I'm not going to weigh in on the logic of either side's arguments, but I will ask that everyone read over what they write and really consider if the words they used are polite and won't be inflammatory intentionally or not. You cant account for people's tolerances perfectly but at least try to say your piece without saying things that can be easily construed as overly dismissive of the other side of the argument, thank you.

We should look for a white lion of Cheese and his partner. Then convince them to build a lion sanctuary complete with runes of translation.

It will be silly but they can totally make sure Malekith can't fuck up relations before we can fix em.
 
It occurs to me that Orra's limbs will be the first creation of note we make (excluding The Miner) that's not for protection or warfare.
Technically her amulet is similar, since its role was comforting, but only technically. You are right though in that her limbs are not really in the same boat as stuff like Dragon's Spite or Barak Azamar or Zhargal even.
 
I'm not entirely sure why Snorri is asking Jorri to keep an eye out for magical stuff on the downlow - because he's trying to keep track of anything that might be related to Hashut or just him thinking of other runelords as competition for the resources?

Both I think, and also trying to get more leads on Wind stuff.

Because he wants magical/elven stuff to study, and fooling around with something as finicky and unreliable as magic is not proper Runelord conduct. And there are still Runelords older than Snorri around, so that's going to be the way of things for a while still.

Only have to survive another thousand years or two and we might be one of the oldest Runlords around how long could that possibly take? Not like that's three to seven times longer than the quest in its entirety or anything.

Nah it's not that it's frowned upon, it's like the voidstones. Snorri knows if word gets out about the value of those texts, Runelords everywhere are going to scramble for it so he's keeping it downlow to grab everything he can.

Also, I like the Grungni cult commission. Easy to do and a good target for weapon combo test.

Mats is for materials, Rune ingredients mainly. Journeyman and Soul of the Earth are two traits Snorri has that provide bonus actions, you can see their details on the front page.

Mats means materials, for the other two, if you read Snorri's character sheet you'll find both listed. They give bonus effective actions based on actions invested in a specific kind of project.
 
You know, while it's good for the Dawi, I am a tiny bit sad we didn't get the girl her arms before the Dragon died. I guess she just had more luck than with the Spawn of Hazurildrakk.

They are intelligent, so it would be cool to have more allies.
 
Is someone willing to give a quick run down on why we choose those runes for the prince's commission. What's the goal there?
