[X] After her!

The Huntsclan and Dracon can take care of themselves. Just because a few freaks showed up doesn't mean they're suddenly incompetent.

Xanatos, however, will have a plan if we intervene. We may be causing a bit of a problem if Owen becomes Puck, but if Kitsune can get over that, she'll be all the more powerful. Also, if Xanatos could defeat Demona by summoning Puck and/or putting on a suit, he would have done it a long time ago. Besides, Demona knows how Xanatos operates since they were partners for a good while. I don't doubt Xanatos' mind, I just doubt his strength in being able to deal with Demona.

Besides, the Gargoyles are only a minor concern. Demona's the big player here, which makes her the bigger threat and protecting the relic the higher priority

[X] Hold the line
Both have their pros and cons but i think it is better if we do not rush to another opponent while there is a chance we might be attacked from the rear

I'm definitely split on what to do here; honestly, I wouldn't mind splitting the party by sending Lizzie and Marco inside while the others stay but that's not an option so I'll go for the take out the leadership option.

[X] After her!

... one notable thing here is that this fight is already pretty public and Tom is very recognisable; it's fairly likely that Toffee and, if she pays attention to the news, Star will find out that he was in New York.
Marco's hood might work as a disguise but Janna is in plain-clothes so she could probably be recognised too.

Can anyone think of what an appropriate response to this might be?

On further reflection, I think I'd like to refine my write in.

- [] Contact Xanay about Demona.

We don't actually know where Demona is, just that she isn't here, and her eventual destination. I don't think it's worth weakening our outer defenses to head off an attack we don't really know anything about. Much better to give Xanay a heads up, then let him call us in if necessary.

While the chopper and crowd are a problem, Xanatos has a decent hold on the media in NY. Unless Toffee is watching right now, my guess is that he's going to need to invest an action to confirm if anybody.

If that's not the case I suggest we do a diecast robotics + dopplebot combo and give Botterfly friends/minions when we get around to making her.

Shrug and carry on.

Our crazy idiot deniability is much eroded and our refusing the corn deal likely has him suspecting that we are hostile. If he is Banshee's boss, he also knows that we are looking at extra-dimensional stuff, that we are in the know about magic and that we are in relatively friendly terms with Xanatos.

There is a fight down that road and while we ideally get to kick the can once or twice more, the end of the world stuff takes priority, while mitigation may not be viable in the turn of Everything Is Critical Now that we face next.

[X] Hold the line

Xanatos probably has himself, Puck, and whatever else really good traps/assets he could scrounge up physically guarding the thing. Let's just make sure they aren't bothered, because all else being equal a Xanatos with preparation and help should always beat a Demona with preparation and help.

I have a question: Is Alexander Xanatos in direct danger if Demona wins tonight?

I understand that Puck and Xanay can rule lawyer a bit to get the fae in action, but are they willing to have the kid in potential danger when they know ahead of time that Manhattan is going to have some trouble tonight?

[X] After her!
I'm going to swap my vote on this. There's good points on both sides that I'm really torn on this, but I've been convinced.

Plus I think we got this vote since we passed the last intrigue check, so I think that counts for something.

Is the baby human going to be in danger if the human hating gargoyle that already tried to murder both of his parents secures the artifacts she needs to initiate worldwide human genocide?

Not that Puck is any kind of I WIN button, either.

Demona knows of Puck, knows of his vulnerabilities and hates him very personally for the bidaily dose of torture. Odds are that she has some kind of plans (possibly even viable ones!) for countering Puck.

Which is, by the way, why I voted to rush in.

[X] Hold the Line

The choice here is between civilian casualties and seeing the climax of the fight. I would not mind either. But I value civilian lives a bit more and Hold the Line is falling behind anyway. Might as well vote for it.

If we abandon the fight then the Huntsclan might use it as propaganda for their cause.

For instance they can claim that all magic-wielders will flee when the going gets tough and only the Huntslcan can protect the average person against mystical threats.

Xanatos managed to reveal gargoyles without blowing up the magical masquerade. So far, magic use in this fight has been kept in a level that can be reasonably explained as a cape fight.

If the masquerade stands, the magic KKK will come across as crazies if they start talking about magic, because as everybody knows magic doesn't exist.

That is one of the good outcomes, because said magic KKK is now fighting a full scale battle against an horde of like a hundred murderous gargoyles.

No matter what happens, the Huntsclan is going to walk away from this with a good bit of good publicity. The ship has already sailed, done a trip around the world and returned to port loaded with riches. The best we can hope for in that front is that dealing with the clone gargoyles deals them enough damage to make the PR gains no more than a phyrric victory.

In summary, our options are 1) try to protect some people and stay out of the main action or 2) try to protect all of the people and get a look at the main action.

I'd rather be sure as opposed to relying on memetic "Xanatos has some unbeatable plan we, his allies, are just not privy to". Especially since I've not seen Gargoyles and can't really atest to whether that's reliable or not.

[X] Hold the line

I'm voting this because I remember something being mentioned about an immortal that can only be killed by another immortal involving Demona. If that happens to pop up, I'd rather not interfere with it.

for "Kitsune will get over whatever Puck did" I'm gonna hard doubt that.

Question: Why was Puck involved in whatever Japanese spirit shenanigans Kitsune fled/survived?

Hypotheticals:
1853 the West busts open the magically reinforced isolation of Japan with the help of their strongest magic wielders (Puck involved)
Kitsune travels abroad with other Japanese spirits after the isolation is broken and receives a violent reception (Puck involved)
Kitsune involved in the initial 1600's sealing of Japan from the West due to western magical dangers (Puck involved)
Kitsune involved in Japanese spirits migrated to permanent residence in San Fransokyo, they are later purged (Puck involved)

she fears exposure to Puck in a way that makes it seem like she believes he will hunt her down if he finds out she is alive. I'm going to assume some major badness on Puck's part, regretful or non, and that Kitsune is going to not be okay with Puck being around. And actually, I'd give it equal odds that Puck will still be antagonistic towards Kitsune in the present day.

in any case, I don't really want Kitsune to be exposed to Puck, and viceversa. Let's stay outdoors and fight the 53 Martial Pack, because the gang + huntsclan vs horde + The Pack of multiple heroes is not an even fight and The Pack wants to warcrime

Really? Seems pretty neck and neck to me, at least compared to some of the votes we've had.
