[x] De-canonize Xanadoof, we've gone TOO FAR

Only after getting love to blossom on the battlefield should a ship be added to the tags!

The hat schemed, a smile splitting its brim as it considered
What the heck? I watched some Goof Troop back in the day and I remember it being set in a realistic, if cartoony world, without magic or scifi elements. How does a magician's hat that possesses people fit into that at all? Did they just have one episode that was thematically incoherent with the rest of the story?

If you are making a legion of hats, I suppose the Choosy Hat from Owl House is another possible member.

Okay, I'm sorry @Stratagemini, but why did you do this?

I'm not trying to ruin your fun but why did you potentially give DOR-15 a hero unit? And a seemingly good one at that? Which is something that I don't think anybody really wants? You did this before by proposing a potential nemesis with an earlier omake, I know this would give the quest more of a challenge and would fill us with anticipation to fighting that challenge, but I don't feel that. I'm sorry but I just feel frustrated by this.

Unless these challenges you are proposing could be introduced further into the quest once we deal with our current problems (Kat/King Candy?/Doom) I'd be fine with that. Because we have quite a lot on our plate right now and we don't need more.
It isn't like this is necessarily canon, and even if it was it doesn't hugely raise her threat level. Cool your jets.

[X] Take the cold out of MiH's head and put it in technor to give him the trait "coolant heads prevail"

Process is proceeding, albiet slowly without MiH to spearhead. In the name of giving people something to look at tonight, here's our tentative statline for Marco. Pending finalization.

Marco Diaz
Martial: 29 (Years of karate lessons, followed by years of mercenary work, followed by years of mystical karate lessons, have made marco frighteningly effective in combat. Not to mention a couple of decades in an extra-dimensional death realm somewhere along the way.)
Diplomacy: 16 (Marco is used to cutting deals and can generally present himself in an approachable way.)
Stewardship: 19 (Marco is organized, methodical and effective.)
Intrigue: 20 (Marco has spent several years searching for someone who very much needs to not be found. Even if he hasn't succeeded, he's learned a few things.)
Learning: 13 (Marco technically didn't finish high school but was already acing AP credits when he left.)
Occult: 14 (Marco has picked up the basics of magic from years spent immersed in magical worlds, not to mention the basics of the mystical martial arts.)

Traits:
Safe Kid: Rumor's of Marco's risk-adversity have been greatly overexaggerated- mostly by Janna- but there is a kernel of truth to his ability to avoid incoming damage. Marco has +5 Martial on any combat roll he participates in as the defender.
Mercenary: Unlike most swords for hire, who can generally be paid enough to lay back and enjoy a retainer, Marco has places to be, and needs an incentive to get him away from what he actually cares about. In order to assign Marco to a Quest or National Action that isn't related to finding Star or fighting Toffee, you will need to spend one income.
'I'm Cazador': Janna's Loyalty temporarily improves by +5 whenever she and Marco go on the same quest.

Loyalty: 0
Hunting for Star +5
Employs Janna -5

So, the name of that trait.... Does Janna get a Loyalty bonus just from the chance to mock Marco about his pseudonym?

So Tom + Marco hit over +70 on their martial rolls. Slightly more if it's a contested roll.

I think the main people we would be throwing him on quests would be Tom and Janna.

... I guess Lizzy and Kitsune can round out the team if we need more in a particular stat?

That is regrettably fair.
Yeah taking a step back and looking at things objectively makes it pretty obvious why Marco might have reservations about Janna in serious situations. Small ones mind but still there. She does pretty consistently invade his privacy and the like.

I imagine that the loyalty malus will probably disappear (being minus 5 and not something much bigger) after they do some talky character development while maybe beating people up stuff.
