If this is all we have as you say then what's the problem with telling him everything ?What can we tell him of substance besides that? Everything we have just underlines one of those points. We have nothing else.

Let me put it this way.Not even us. Shego has hit squads and we're thinking of allying with her.

We aren't asking anything of Xanatos, but we want him to do certain things, like looking in on Toffee on his own, because thats the only way he'll be convinced. Tipping our hands at this point does not serve our goal.
Yes, so why tell him more than the basics? Let him come to his own conclusions, later we can offer to actually exchange intel on Toffee with him.He is going to be looking into Toffee on his own regardless. He isn't going to just take us at our word when he can also verify.
To repeat something I said in the Discord here, let's say we decide not to tell Xanatos stuff. Now, let's imagine that everything goes south in the worst way possible, save that we barely manage to eke out a win, and Xanatos manages to crawl out from the rubble too.
"Heinz...why didn't you warn me about all of this?"
"I ...wanted you to think I was cool?"

Well how would he knows we have more info? It can just be we got a bad vibe from him or he rubbed us the wrong way.To repeat something I said in the Discord here, let's say we decide not to tell Xanatos stuff. I'm in favor of blabbing. Doof is a motormouth and exceedingly honest. The most IC choice is to just start complaining at Xanatos until a platypus crashes in to stop us, and we're all out of platypi.
My main problem is that he'll just conclude we're monofocusing on Toffee because he made Janna cry and we're sentimental like that, not because he's an actual threat to everybody on Earth. (Which to be honest, right now, is the correct conclusion, but we have OoC reasons to dig deeper). If this is all we have as you say then what's the problem with telling him everything ?
If we tell him what we know, he might conclude the same thing, ony without digging as deep.Let me put it this way.
If we had information on something that could be dangerous or helpful, if we only knew it existed, the DC would be higher than if we had some idea what exactly it is.
Thus, looking at it from Xanatos' side, if we tell him everything, Xanatos is more likely to find out that Toffee plans to exterminate humanity. If we don't, then he'll likely conclude that we are considering him dangerous because he is targeting "our own" and stop investigating.
At which point our answer should be: "I did warn you about Toffee! Didn't you do your homework? Also, at the time, I may... have known absolutely nothing about Toffee's genocidal intentions? Yeah, so I'm kinda as surprised as you are, really."To repeat something I said in the Discord here, let's say we decide not to tell Xanatos stuff. To be honest, if we had more on Toffee that could actually convince Xanatos that he is bad news to Xanatos specifically, I'd be all for sharing. Right now, pretty much all we have is that he made our employee cry.
The more we tell him the more suspicious Toffee looks, the more incentive Xanatos has to investigate on his own.We don't know he is genocidal. We do know he is an inter-dimensional warlord building up power on Earth under false pretenses.
Doubt it as we would send our own robots.Imagine being on the other side of this :
Xanatos : Be carrefull about Florida, they have dangerous robots.
Doof send a unit and they never come back because Xanatos gave no warning about the brain-washing hats.
How Xanatos invests in his investigations is a balance of risk and reward, since there are other, problematic kings. I fully expect him to investigate Toffee once or twice regardless of what else we say if we tell him that Toffee is bad news, but if we tell him more details about Toffee, then it is more likely for his crits to actually be relevant to what he needs to know.If we tell him what we know, he might conclude the same thing.
My dude it's Halloween. One of his known agents is strongest on this night. There is no way in hell that he is not attacking right now.If it gets to the point we're actually collaborating on serious projects against Toffee, yes of course that's when all cards should be on the table. Somehow I don't think Toffee is sending a dimensional scissor hit team to this auction.

How would Xanatos knowing that Toffee has taken over Janna's town be a bad thing for his investigation?Or it biases his investigation to just confirm what we told him instead of otherwise where he would've dug deeper without any starting biases.
