While I support hego fighting in principle, if he gets hurt shego will hate us...

Could be good for hego though.

I don't know if it's worth the risk.

[X] Plan Eat Your Vegetables
can hego even die fighting inquinator can toons even kill in combat more than just damage? Aside from doom. But, doom puts people on dipp row which isn't exactly killing anyone himself.

[X] Plan Eat Your Vegetables

Inquinator is probably rocking some bonuses to his opposed roll thanks to the Trash Titan, and we've already seen that Inquinator could match Norm with some luck on his part. The odds just look a bit too shaky for me to comfortably put Hego on it.

And I can generally agree with the other actions this plan takes, so it gets my vote.

[X] Plan Eat Your Vegetables

Just want to point out one thing you people are missing. That one weird prophecy we got from Wylie Coyote drug-filled fever dream when he caught the roadrunner. You know the one we're one of our heroes will be taken away forever because of the secret they held. Yeah.....
Seems a lot of people have forgotten about that. I'm going to put my vote in for whatever ups goofy's loyalty, so he can tell us that secret.

I mean... are we even sure that Goofy is the guy the Zebra hallucination was talking about? I mean, it could be Russ as well.

can hego even die fighting inquinator can toons even kill in combat more than just damage? Aside from doom. But, doom puts people on dipp row which isn't exactly killing anyone himself.

I mean... it's possible. Toons purposefully hold themselves back when fighting, as they don't want to hurt people. But... well, it's possible that Toons can kill people. Though, even the craziest and most blood thirsty Toons, like Negaduck, seem to be unable to kill people. He could have easily killed those two guards... but he ended up juck knocking them out... with sleeping gas, and not by hitting them. And the wardern, who they could have killed, was simply tied up. So, while Negaduck mentioned "killing the old {him}", itself possible he can only kill other Toons, and that's probably by cheating and using Dip.

The 2G (Canon)
Omake: The 2G

New York, New York is no stranger to the strange. The City That Never Sleeps has hosted countless odd happenings and happenstances long before and long after it took on its current visage, a sprawling metropolis in which pillars of stone and steel rise above the clouds. Even as the bustling human populace passes through its labyrinthine streets and tunnels blissfully unaware of Manhattan's greater mysteries, they too have an inkling of a suspicion that there is more to their home than can be seen on the surface. For that reason, New Yorkers are far more likely to take the strange in stride.

That, and they are far too busy to give a hoot. For this reason, not a soul gave Grim and Hildy Gloom a glance as they climbed out of a levitating French patio door hewn from green jade and entered Midtown.

Grim was the first to step out of the glowing portal. He was a pale warlock with blue hair, a large nose, and a black trenchcoat with a pattern of moon and stars at the bottom. Once he made sure that his footing was secure on the hard cement sidewalk, he glanced at his surroundings to check for anything dangerous.

"Wow," Grim Gloom said as he took in the sights. "I think we'll be safe here."

"You said that for the last three dimensions," a posh voice behind him replied.

Only a handful of pedestrians stopped to take note of this unusual occurrence. Determining the coast was clear of anyone trying to stop them, Grim helped his wife down from the green French door. Hildy was a slender witch with pink hair, wearing a sleeveless outfit with purple stripes that matched her highlights. She carried a battered rod made of crystal in her free hand that shone like a clouded quartz.

"Aw, Hildy-Wildy! We both thought the cat people had cat faces until they turned around!"

Hildy rolled her eyes. Taking a tome out of her purse, she flipped through the tattered pages in a vain attempt at identifying which dimension they had landed in.

"Enough about the cats with human faces, my dark knight in blackened armor. I can't find this world in that cheap guide you bought!"

Grim pulled their travel bags down from the portal and walked up to her, taking a look at the damaged book himself.

"Uh oh. Looks like we lost some pages on that swamp world."

Hildy shivered at the thought of that wretched, humid place. This world was far more palpable. The bright sigils illuminating signs and billboards were pretty, and the high towers reminded Hildy of the fantasy citadels she dreamed of conquering as a young witch. She had to admit, it was better than their time with the slimy amphibians already.

"Brilliant!" Hildy growled. "We can't exactly go back to Meridian and ask for a refund, can we?"

"Well no. The passling said there were no refunds."

Hildy waved the crystalline object around in front of Grim's face. It wasn't her wand, which was packed away for safe travel. The Glooms were far away from any wand repair kiosks, and showing off you had a magic wand to the wrong people was generally a bad idea. Muscle memory nearly got them killed when she forgot which was which and tried to cast a spell with the wrong long stick.

"Anything else you may have forgotten?"

In a flash of light, the jade door vanished behind them.

"Crystal keys are random!" Grim said, finally recalling his errant thought. "Couldn't retrace our steps if we tried."

"Precisely why they're a cheap means of travel. I hate having to cut corners on transportation."

Grim nodded in unspoken agreement as he grabbed their bags. Together, Mr. and Mrs. Gloom walked through the foreign city and tried to make sense of it while keeping a low profile. It was much easier than expected, to the extent that Hildy took great offense at being ignored. The point of fleeing to this dimension was that no one would recognize them, but the total lack of fear or reverence for traveling dark sorcerers was grating on her nerves.

They spent hours searching, but the Glooms couldn't find any local covens they could meet and barter with before sundown. Dejected, Hildy threw a handful of gold coins at the nearest inn and they stayed the night there.

Once they were away from prying eyes, Hildy pulled her wand out of her bag. It was an old, gnarled branch from a once-magic tree that was held together by foul wishes and duct tape.

"Riches to rags, slumming like hags, phantasmal something-or-other go unpack our bags."

Hildy was a seasoned witch and could have chanted the incantation with much more gravitas, but her heart wasn't in it at all. The luggage was enveloped in an eerie glow as the clothes shuddered their way into the closets and their toiletries hopped along to the bathroom.

Grim was at the room's writing desk, noting down places of interest on new maps they received in the city.

"Hildy, I have good news and bad news."

Hildy brightened up, her eyes growing wide with glee! "Bad news first! Did you find an item of power we can steal? A charging station for our brooms? I missed flying around and attacking hapless villages so much!"

"Someone pickpocketed our crystal ball."

Her face faltered. "I thought you meant good bad news!" she shouted. "How did you lose a crystal ball that never shuts up?" The bundles and bundles of heavy cloth they put around the annoying chatter-sphere should have discouraged theft even further!

"I don't know!" Grim said. He was more upset about this than Hildy was, on account of actually enjoying Crystal's terrible jokes. "I was going to ask him where we were when he wasn't in the bag with the potions!"

Hildy set her wand on the nightstand and downed a fancy mineral water from the dresser shelf in despair.

"Oh, look at us! Quibbling about losing petty junk? What happened to us, my deadly nightshade? We used to be the undisputed rulers of Jollywood!"

Grim was going to mention that their reign was rather short-lived, but he thought better of it. Instead, he began counting on his fingers the reasons how and why their lives went wrong.

"Well, I think it started when King Phobos had a dispute with us. He wanted access to the magic gem mines, but you--"

His wife glared daggers at him.

"--We said he should take a hike?"

She nodded approvingly.

"Then that lizard in the nice suit had a dispute with us for giving Phobos access to the mines after he invaded Jollywood. Then we lost Jollywood entirely, and then--"

"Ugh!" She kicked the nightstand in anger, but the contemptible furniture was sturdier than it looked. All it did was make her hop on one foot in pain.

"We shouldn't have to live like hobo magicians, doing cheap party tricks for bread and board! I was destined to rule a kingdom, not keep the throne warm until someone else had the gall to take it away!"

Grim got up from the desk to envelop his wife in a hug.

"Cheer up, my gorgeous weaver of nightmares. We can stay in this dimension until King Phobos comes for it next. New York hasn't been that bad. It'll be like a vacation!"

"A vacation?!" She picked up the crystal key and raised it high. "I don't know if I can take any more of these random vacations!"

The magic gem crumbled to diamond dust and was scattered to the wind immediately upon making contact with the ceiling fan.

"Um. I guess the crystal key couldn't handle any more either."

Hildy blinked, in stunned awe at what had just happened.

"…You said you had good news, dear? What was it?"

Grim brought up his biggest map of New York City. "I found some places where we can do cheap magic tricks for money! How does this Central Park sound, huh?"

Hildy fell on to her bed and screamed into a pillow. They were going to have to find a longer term place of residence.

can hego even die fighting inquinator can toons even kill in combat more than just damage?

I think hego just getting hurt would be enough tick off shego.

"Listen. You have to realize a few things. My idiotic brother still thinks he's back in the Golden Age. You know, Mr. Incredible, Boss Awesome, Gazerbeam?"

"Uh…"

"Yeah, things don't work that way anymore. You don't get the mutual respect between foes, you get a pair of professional death dealers that are just short of killing one another in most fights. Hego? He doesn't understand that. Why else do you think I've been paying idiots to throw themselves at him so he could feel important?"

"Because…?"

"Because someone like the Birthday Bandit, or whatever the hell that idiot in the bird suit called himself, isn't going to go all out. I pay their hospital bills, give them some Drakktech stock on the side, and the illustrious 'Team Go' stays out of things like the drug trade. You get what I'm saying?"

"Yeah, yeah, I get it." you agreed. It was kind of odd how Shego was behaving so seriously all of a sudden.

"You'd better get it, because otherwise you'll learn what it really means to be my enemy."

It looks like she wants him SAFE. As in only fighting people guaranteed to throw the fight and lose on purpose.

If he wins with no damage then its fine but if anything happens to him at all then the inroads we've made with her are gone i imagine.

The next morning, a solid knock on the door.

"Good morning, my name is Owen Burnett. My employer would like to speak to the two of you. Your rather gross over-payment for these accommodations has been refunded and the room has been comped to you for the prior night due to the desk clerk's lapse in judgement. If you'll follow me, Mr. Xanatos has a personal chef that can handle any requests should the standard breakfast fare not be up to par." A beat, then two fingers slid his glasses up a precises centimetre, and he quirked a brow. "Do please hurry, the car is waiting."

Based on these actions, I think this would be the XP spending priority
  1. (Boost Roll) Formal Spy Network -> Get more from the same amount of XP because it's being rerolled.
  2. Administrative efficiency -> I think Doof's bowl of mints trait might proc for this, which would mean the 71% CoS would be lowered to 59%
  3. Think Tank -> Making sure we succeed in this should be worth it.
  4. (Reduce DC) Professor Von Drake -> Reducing the DC would make this have a decent shot at a critical success. From 10% to 30%

God, the way these plans are written is just eyewatering. I can't keep track of who's doing what.

Could we maybe start formatting plans like:

[] Plan Big Plan
-[] Martial Action (Martial Hero)
-[] Diplo Action (Diplo Hero)
-[] Stewardship Action (Stew Hero)
-[] Intrigue Action (Intrigue Hero)
-[] Learning Action (Learning Hero)
-[] Occult Action (Occult Hero)
-[] Doofenshmirtz Personal (Name of Doof Action 1)
-[] Doofenshmirtz Personal (Name of Doof Action 2)
-[] Doofenshmirtz Personal (Name of Doof Action 3)
-[] Doofenshmirtz Personal (Name of Doof Action 4)
-[] Martial Hero Personal (Help With Martial Action)
-[] Random Idiot Personal (Go Look For ID-Ten-T Decontaminant)
...

It would just be so much easier to keep track if the name of the person and the name of the action were in a consistent line-by-line structure, I think.

I am in favor of having Temujin do it. There is a chance of Synergy happening if we vote for Dennis to work alongside Temujin and Hego doing good deeds on the streets. With the three of them on the case the bird will not escape and there's a chance of having a new trait similar to Doof troops.
Hm. Actually a good idea.

Can we have Temujin both fight Inquinator and train us? Cause if it's one or the other I'd prioritize boot camp and let upgraded Norm handle it.
Eh. I think we can let boot camp wait one more turn. Besides, if Doof takes self-defense courses as a personal action THIS turn, it'll increase his chance of surviving the boot camp NEXT turn!

His blurb sums it up.

He's not just lazy about picking things up around the house, being an anti-renewable garbage man is his schtick. He'd take loyalty maluses for a bunch of our greevil projects, like instituting recycling programs.

We could probably recruit him now, get some use out of him, and then send him on a permanent vacation to the other side of the BnL wasteland or something like that, but I'm not inclined to put in the effort.

Well if you're going to go that far I guess I'll switch to Norm.

Just know the pain this causes me.

Why?
-Boot Camp: Our Martial bonus is not great, and with Khan's technology malus and Norm's difficulties out of direct combat, that makes it difficult to actually succeed at the upgrade Martial actions. Increasing Doof's own Martial would go some ways towards offsetting this. (As it is, Jumba is our best hero unit for upgrades, and he's not quite reliable.)

-Recruiting the Professor: He goes back on the market next turn, so this is the last turn we know we can get him. Plus, next turn, either we'll have failed Think Tank and need to try again (which Jumba will be too Hungry for Science to do) or we'll need two Learning Heroes for our two Learning Actions. Alternatively, depending on how things work, we might need a Learning Hero to put into the Head Researcher slot, and I'm not sure Jumba is temperamentally suited for the role.

Another Diplo AP would be great, but I'm willing to put it off for a turn.

-Stewardship AP: We've got things to do.

-Intrigue AP with Mirage: So many things to do. This is being done with Mirage because of the concerns with having an agent of the government we seceded from build our spy network.

-Learning AP: So many things to do.

-Minor Artifacts: It's useful and easy, so sure.

-L.O.V.E.M.U.F.F.I.N. on the chip: This is an easy - and pretty much the only easy - way we have to increase our home security, and it'll be harder to do once we decentralize our Normbots. Plus, it'll be harder for the Resistance to vandalize our Normbots once they're not as dumb.

-Monogram and OWCA: Might give miscellaneous bonuses on rolls. Might give a L.O.V.E.M.U.F.F.I.N.-style action. Likely worth our while.

-Russ working for Uncle Sam: While the government good boy points are nice and all, my main thought here is that a lot of the government's current problems (crime rings and drugs everywhere, and Doom's little lynch mobs) are also our problems. If Russ could deal with one of those on government time, that's a win for us, and if he does something unrelated to us that's fine too. I don't think the government would have their liaison to Doof take direct actions against Doof.

-Norm vs Inquinator: He's our strongest Martial unit outside of Khan. If we're not letting Hego have his fun, he's the obvious choice for this job.

-Dennis and Khan: If Doof is going to suffer, maybe Dennis should too. And a swole Dennis would just be a sight to see.

-Hego the do-gooder: If we're not going to let him have an ol' Glory Days fight against Inquinator, we should at least give him a consolation prize. And if he rolls well, maybe he'll even be able to help with the fight in the fluff.

-Technor and Lizzie: We frankly need more hero units if we're going to be picking up more actions per turn and we still want to do quests ever. Getting Lizzie on board is worth our time.

-Max on Vacation: Poor boy needs it.

-Vanessa for College: Stat boosts~~~

TL;DR: Spy ring plan with Mirage instead of Russ.
My concern with the plan is that doing Personal Attention AND Mongolian boot camp means we're pretty likely to not finish Malifishmertz' spell book before the meeting with Xanatos, due to lack of personal actions (since we'll lose personal actions next turn if we fail).

I'd rather we work on the spell book this turn anyway, if I have to choose.

I am fairly confident that this is a LONG RANGE issue. I'd rather get ourselves a bit better established first. A broad stable of hero units helps us spare any given hero unit's time for a personal action more effectively.

It looks like she wants him SAFE. As in only fighting people guaranteed to throw the fight and lose on purpose.

If he wins with no damage then its fine but if anything happens to him at all then the inroads we've made with her are gone i imagine.
Honestly, I think that probably nothing will happen to Hego worse than a black eye or something. And aren't we planning on having someone like Norm Prime on the job too? Having Hego go a hero-ing in general while Norm Prime is actually tasked with targeting Inquinator means Hego is quite likely to be safe. Either he doesn't fight Inquinator, or he probably fights Inquinator while Norm Prime is around for backup.

It''s not that risky tbh, especially fi we spend a martial action but even anyway. Inquinator isn't even martial 20.

Some plans have Hego on heroing directly against Inquinator. Mine does this, for instance, but I mitigate it by using it as an action and getting Hego a +12 to an effective 47.
