Despair only requires your own echo chamber, but most hope feedback loops require multiple people to reflect off of.

Maybe figure out soul gem awareness and communication, then use Mami's connection magic to tie their gems together so everyone is feeling everyone else's hope, rebounding and redoubling. Then rainbow of friendship hope the witch away!

To think, the answer was the power of hype all along!

Who knew?
During enchantment time, we could try to evert a little magic in each girl's palm, and she moves Hope into it. Then, literally pass the handful to the girl to her side, around the ring. Practice the most elemental Hope sharing first?

...
It's an extremely fuzzy match, but it could mean kickstarting the process with enough hope and means for the witch to be active in the world as a person would bring everything close enough her to bring herself the rest of the way forwards by reaffirming her wish.

Otherwise, if that's flawed or not sufficiently close?

The only moment I can think of where that much hope is generated all at once is during the contract.

As far as interacting with our prototype witch-girl, I think a choice of smaller, weaker interface body is the right inspiration. We can make some of the features match closely if we have data, but it is not supposed to be "herself" yet. As long as that stage doesn't drag on, I doubt that body identity is any concern. The first is "Other People, and I don't want to eat them? What do I do?"
The second might be "I have to breathe! I CAN breathe!"

If we do a chibi for her (not magic reinforced, use a mundane material with an enchantment) we should interact from a chibi too. Avoid setting off fears.

I say this because sometimes the initial encounter might be a bit more intense than we would like. The Witches are coming off a serious illness, after all. Keeping the damage potential low will make it easy to laugh that off, build the mood back, and try it better next time.

Okay, so I'm going to bed, but before I do I need to say that when we do dewitching in earnest, no matter how we do it, we should play this:

Firstly, it's just appropriate.

Secondly, however Mami responded to her theme song and loved it. Homura liked Luminous. So why wouldn't witches respond well to a song about saving a girl from witchhood?

Okay, that's a bit of a stretch, but hey, music is a way to convey emotion even without language, the song is named "we're here for you" and it certainly can't hurt, can it? :p

A Certain Magical Sayaka? How many sisters do you think she can handle?

Sayaka 44: Wait, we're friends with Transfer Student now?! Since When!?
Sayaka 99: Transfer- uh...Homura, um... s-sorry... I... okay I really screwed up, didn't I?
Sayaka 83: Um, how are we gonna share Kyosuke???!! I don't wanna share him with all of you!!!
Sayaka 74: Kyosuke?! Aren't we dating Kyoko?!
Sayaka's 44-98: WHAAAAA?!
Sayaka 99: Kyoko...?

Kyoko: Sabrina.... what HAVE you done?!
Homura: ................ <<eyes twitch in very vivid annoyance as she "regally" arches a brow at Sabrina>>
Sabrina: Uhh.... Science?

PMAS Sayaka, Homura, Kyoko: NO!!

PMAS Sayaka: I thought it'd be cool to have a twin, hell my clones are pretty cool! This for realz is NOT COOL OR FUN!

Nice.
Just think of the hell of living with many duplicates of the same middle school age girl...
"Who ate my special pudding from the fridgggeeee! Again! Auughh."

I doubt Firn will make us solve this exact issue? But it isn't debilitating.

...You know if Sabrina is Walpurgisnacht then there could be one or two Sabrinas in Homura's Shield saved from timelines in which Madoka killed Walpurgisnacht and then witched. Even after using it up she couldn't give it to Kyubey without giving up the game.

...

If you're right, that's probably an amazingly simple way to check if Walpurgis is Dedolere.

Hmmmmm.

@Godwinson 's right that this should make us reconsider core beliefs.

The one I'm looking most askance at right now is the assumption that witches and magical girls are the same entity.

And yet, we haven't seen any distinguishing marks to differentiate familiar-born witches from ones spawned by magical girls succumbing to despair. Ergo, familiars have been putting together a perfect replica of existing witches.

Wouldn't one easy fix to this be that, much like with Witch-vs-Familiar and cloning powers like Sayaka, that one universal soul can connect to and power multiple bodies? The body is just a shell that the soul gem is piloting after all, and certainly Sabrina seems to treat grief (and GRIEF CHIBIS, importantly) as remotely piloted parts of her body.

So familiar born witches are just a universal effect that cloning powers tap into more easily (because the soul isn't confined in a singular cage but instead broke free in an energy burst, but clone powers cheat past this) , and de-witching past seeds would just get us multiple bodies.

Where it might also imply that if say, we de-witch a Sayaka or 12 from Homura's stash, they could probably just Fusion-Dance their bodies back into one and possibly (ala Madoka from each timeline) combine their kharma for a power boost?

Raises interesting questions about Soul vs Mind if the de-witched bodies have their own timeline's memories, but this also seems to play into the leakage with Mikiel theories and Madoka's dreams. And this might also address the worry about "Homura leaves past Madoka's behind, unsaved" that have come up before with her powers and would only get worse if we had three Sayaka's and only one Madoka. Since we know Homura's wish is already, by its nature, "saving" them by snatching up the important part of other-Madoka's (their potential/soul/memories) to carry along and thus impart weird dreams and mass potential.

We do know that Madoka defeated Walpurgisnacht last loop. I'll put this into the vote i think.

-[] If she has any grief seeds right now, offer to turn them into clear seeds
--[] Ask if she happens to have a Grief Seed of Walpurgisnacht, from last loop perhaps? You may learn something from it

Here's a new vote, implementing some suggestions

[x] Offer to help clean one of Homura's weapons
[X] Continue talking about...
-[x] Warn Homura that Sayaka has most of the puzzle pieces to put together that Homura's a time traveler.
--[X] It won't happen instantly.
--[x] What does Homura want you to do if she asks about it? You won't share anything without permission, but if she does figure it out from this, it'd probably be best to make sure she has the story right.
--[x] You don't foresee it causing any problems - if anything it'll help - but you don't want Homura to be completely blind-sided if it happens.
-[X] Sayaka might select the Witchbomb shortly - ask Homura if she would be alright with providing care during 'her' part of the day, and overnight.
--[X] Bring up that Sayaka considers Homura a friend again.

-[x] Ask what happens when Witches rehatch. Do they drop a grief seed? Are they more powerful? Why isn't farming a single witch done?
-[x] If she has any grief seeds right now, offer to turn them into clear seeds
--[x] Ask if she happens to have a Grief Seed of Walpurgisnacht, from last loop perhaps? You may learn something useful from it.
-[x] You asked the Incubator to stop mind-wiping "people who your friends care about".
--[x] You think that might be why Hitomi's mother "recently remembered" having encountered a Meguca in her childhood.
--[x] You're meeting with Hitomi's mother this weekend. Ask if Homura wants to be there or add anything to the agenda.
-[x] Bring up the idea of bringing a therapist into the know, especially for people like Anri and Akiko.
-[x] Respecting Homura's fears and concerns, bring up Sayaka's comments about Madoka and Hitomi at the Model UN and suggest asking them to help analyze Tokyo's politics.
--[x] Madoka wouldn't need to directly encounter any outside meguca, while still significantly assisting our group.
-[x] Madoka would be really helping, with a skill that's uniquely hers, and letting her do it would help her self-esteem.
--[x] As a result, she will be less likely to "wish to help", as she too often does
--[X] Offer to have a chat about Madoka another time.
[x] Ask Homura if there's anything that she's wanted to know about you, about your memories, or about your knowledge of people, etc. and let her know that this is a standing offer
-[x] If she does, answer it fully, to the best of your ability, unless it would lead to Potentialbomb.
[x] Leave timestop. Give Mami a big, spinning, silly hug.
-[x] Cut to voting to decide what to work on and what topics to discuss.

It is rather long though.... there's just so much that we need to talk about with Homura! Unless she gets impatient and doesn't want to talk to us or have the conversation later, it's best to keep her informed.

I also want to note that looking back at it we have mentioned bringing in a therapist in Homura's presence, but she had literally no reaction, and we mostly just talked to Sayaka at that time so it's good to get Homura's input.

might not work, cause we know from kazumi magica that a clone doesnt have the same witch as the original, and taken further when kazumi made her wish to become human her witch name changed
wally might not have the same true name as us even if we are her

It wouldn't be absolute proof we're not made from Walpurgisnacht in some way but it'd certainly reduce the probability a lot.

The other result on the other hand would be absolutely massive.

also, as for possible outcomes of giving dewitched girls from other timelines to the girls from this timeline I see three distinct possibilities
the first is that we get a situation similar to the one we, sabrina, are in, many minds one body that must come to a concensus. personally I find this one least likely
the second possibility is that we get a situation similar to the soujo sisters, a kind of magically created multiplicity where each version of the girl can control the body independently of the others
but personally the one I think is most likely is that the same thing that happened with madokami will happen, all of the girls will sort of merge, their potentials coalescing as one and their minds and memories merging into one. in effect they will "remember" all the other timelines the other girls are from and become a single entity

Also, I decided to take a stab at making artwork for... The Grief Seed that must never be. Partly out of morbid curiosity, partly because I'm a tad skeptical about Sabrina being Walpurgisnacht (and even if we were... as PMKM showed, our Grief Seed would look different from Walpurgis, which the PSP Game shows that it has a canonical design.).

Possibly, I could feed this back into your design sense and you would have even more fun?

If we want to save everybody; if the symbol represents our opposite; if Kyuubey is to be subjugated; if we have a symbol of the girls we have bonded with....

You have more than enough heraldry for a unit patch? Not that Sabrina does traditional military-industrial power. It would be an exercise in fandom.

--[X] It won't happen instantly.
I'd... actually contest this. Sayaka's just gotten confirmation that Homura cares about Madoka and that it's an important enough story to have been included in our metaknowledge. She's one moment of realization away from coming up with a theory that explains all observable evidence and she's going to be thinking about it, with new information, all through tonight and tomorrow. I'd actually rate her likelihood of figuring it out highest right now, or in about two hours. If it hasn't happened by tomorrow afternoon we're probably safe, but it's too early to tell.
-[X] Sayaka might select the Witchbomb shortly - ask Homura if she would be alright with providing care during 'her' part of the day, and overnight.
--[X] Bring up that Sayaka considers Homura a friend again.
I guess that this works as an excuse to re-emphasize that Sayaka trusts Homura, but I'm not sure this is useful otherwise. I don't know if Homura would be at all comfortable doing this. If she is I'd expect her to volunteer.

Apparently I got distracted midway through responding to your, but I have major disagreements on most of your edits. "Up to date" is a really bad reason to vote for something; all it means is that you're voting for something that hasn't been peer-reviewed yet.

Also, next time you do this: There's a reason I re-post my entire vote instead of going with quotes. Quoting quotes is a pain in the ass and I'm not going to go to the trouble of doing it. Tab back and forth if you want to know what I'm responding to. It's what I had to do.
1. There are many ways that Tokyo Meguca could find out about Madoka and Hitomi, such as Incubator influence, or any power based around gaining knowledge. Homura knows this, and may immediately counter with that, rendering this reasoning for why they're safe invalid.
2. Still mentioning Madoka's wish, although focusing on her self-esteem
If Kyubey wants to fuck us over he's not going to do it like this. If they have information-gathering meguca they're not going to target Madoka. The "they may find out and target her anyway" scenario is so general and specific that it would ruin literally every plan - Hijiri might target Madoka because she's friends with Mami who's friends with the Pleiades, Rionna might target Madoka because how else would she be suppressing all information of her misdeeds, etc. And, most of all, Homura isn't going to be strawmanning at us. Saying that the Tokyo magical girls won't know or care that Madoka exists is perfectly reasonable and doesn't pollute our message.

I am explicitly not mentioning Madoka's Wish because I do not believe that Homura understands that trying to reduce Madoka's opportunities to wish is a pointless endeavor. She's too good at finding ways to martyr herself. She's like Sayaka in that regard. The way to keep Madoka from Wishing is to improve her self-esteem enough that she's satisfied with her life without making a Wish. I wanted to go into a full explanation of Madoka but people apparently think that this isn't the time for that, so instead we just need to make sure to not reinforce Homura's bad ideas.
Reasoning: We're going to talk to Homura about this some time, and I don't think we particularly resolved this yet.

Homura was obviously very confused here and since we have an explanation, we shouldn't put it in low priority.
Talking about Hitomi's mom is not something that needs to be done in time stop. We are already explicitly complexity-limited and we have things that are more time-sensitive, more important, and can only be talked about in time stop. The part about Hitomi's mom is only in low-priority because I didn't want to delete it entirely.

Seriously, I am not going to give up our warnings about Sayaka or our ideas about Madoka helping with politics to plan something that we can deal with outside time stop any time we have five minutes to spare. You have this ABOVE THE MODEL UN STUFF IN YOUR VOTE. I cannot emphasize enough how bad an idea this is. Do NOT spend time-stop budget on stuff that doesn't need time-stop when the QM just told us to wrap it up.
Reasoning: No reason to put this off, and Homura's likely to just say "ok" it's a short thing that'll help her stay in the loop about our mind and day to day activities. If she doesn't just say "ok" she may have some insight or experience, which is always helpful
Talking about therapists is low-priority: identical reasoning to talking about Hitomi's Mom, but even more so. It doesn't need time-stop, it's not time-critical, and it's not something that we need to spend critically limited time-stop narrative budget on.

[x] Warn Homura that Sayaka has most of the puzzle pieces to put together that Homura's a time traveler.
-[x] You don't foresee it causing any problems - if anything it'll help - but you don't want Homura to be completely blind-sided if it happens.
-[x] What does Homura want you to do if she asks about it? You won't share anything without permission, but if she does figure it out from this, it'd probably be best to make sure she has the story right.

[x] Respecting Homura's fears and concerns, bring up Sayaka's comments about Madoka and Hitomi at the Model UN and suggest asking them to help analyze Tokyo's politics.
-[x] No outside magical girl would even know they exist.
-[x] Madoka would be really helping, with a skill that's uniquely hers, and letting her do it would help her self-esteem.

[x] Lower-priority topics:
-[x] Offer to turn all of her Grief Seeds into Clear Seeds.
-[x] Re-emphasize that you're always willing to answer any questions that Homura might have, and go fishing for anything she might want to know. Any decisions of yours she wants more context on, particular people she'd appreciate analyses of, that kind of thing.
-[x] You're meeting with Hitomi's mother this weekend, you should ask later if Homura wants to be there or add anything to the agenda.
-[x] Ask what happens when Witches rehatch. Do they drop a grief seed? Are they more powerful? Why isn't farming a single witch done?

[x] Leave timestop. Give Mami a big, spinning, silly hug.
-[x] Cut to voting to decide what to work on and what topics to discuss.

You have more than enough heraldry for a unit patch? Not that Sabrina does traditional military-industrial power. It would be an exercise in fandom.

The mentality I took when making this concept was more a case of irony and metaphor: "The chains we once used to shackle and control the Grief around us have now ensnared and chained us in turn". Admittedly since I didn't do a hand sketch for the face on the Grief Seed, I could have more fun with the design on the seed itself... but at the same time, I kinda like the simplicity of the design. Matches the rather simple appearance Sabrina has herself.

HOWEVER, a Military-Style Witches Kiss is another matter entirely! Thank you for the inspiration, gonna sketch out possible concepts for what Dedolere's Witches Kiss might look like. That would match the Military-like appearance Sabrina's long coat gives her!

Edit: A disturbing thought just occurred to me... Would Dedolere's Familiars have the same ontological threat potential that she herself has? We've asked ourselves more than a little bit about Dedo herself... but we've never really asked or thought about her Familiars...

Kriemheld Gretchen's Familiars are all about weighing human souls to see if they were just or not (by what standards we have no clue...)

Homulilly's Familiars were dedicated to executing her... followed by maintaining her illusionary world and punishing her in more subtle ways once becoming Devil Homura.

What would Dedolere's Familiars do and be up too...?

Under current theories, Dedolere does not have familiars. She does not do witch kisses. About all she does is unmake the universe.
