I agree. That he quipped, rather than some other verb, implies (I interpret) making light in a bad situation. This actually supports a positive anchor that Noburi is more alright with the medic idea than not, so I'm confused why this could be a point of contention.

Meh. We got 1st in the Third Event (and possibly the First), tied for 1st in the Fifth Event, turned the Second Event on its head with our sealing loophole, and got completely fucked in the Fourth Event. Overall...it could have gone a whole lot worse.

When Zabuza enters the public again, we need to get on his good side. No ifs ands or buts, we need him to understand that Mist and Leaf need to team up and that we aren't scum of the earth whose very existence is a black mark on his name.
This is gonna be tricky.
edit: Zabuza's not an idiot so he obviously won't do anything suicidal to Mist, but the fact that he could gives him power, and there are a lot of ways he could hurt us in particular without jeopardizing his country.
- Zabuza is alive, we saw that a few chapters ago.
- Zabuza knows about Skywalkers.
- In The Ultimate Showdown of Ultimate Destiny, it appears everyone from Mist died or was captured except for Zabuza. It's possible that Mist had someone stealthily observe the battle and report back, but why bother since you're obviously gonna win?
- As a consequence, Zabuza may be the only Mist-nin who knows about Skywalkers and is not dead or captured.
- Zabuza is one of Mist's strongest ninjas and is very popular.
- With Yagura and Mei gone, Zabuza is quite possibly the strongest Mist-nin left.
- Given his strength and popularity, it's not impossible that Zabuza could outright take the hat from Ren if he wanted (something involving Ren 'stepping down now that she's no longer needed' or whatnot)
- Zabuza hates us. We're filthy traitors that gave him the runaround across the entire Elemental Nations and are now taunting him as prominent Leaf-nin.
