Personally I am up for basically every option bar the Swamp Town one.
Fucking around with magic in lustria just ends with angry Toads stomping around, and we had a better chance to stop Malagor then we do to stop angry toads.
It was Morgur we (probably) met. Malagor is «only» a very powerful winged shaman, and Morgur would eat him for breakfast.

But yeah, poking the Slaans look like a horrible idea.

Since when did the thread stop using the spoilers function when BoneyM post snippets of coming updates. Whelp that's alot of pages I cant read. 😅

In this case it's not so much a teaser as it is "I can't finish the next update fully right now, so here's an interesting part I have finished to discuss while I work on the rest". It's missing a tiny bit of context but nothing that will completely transform the meaning of it.

As it has been vouchsafed that the Lady Magister's trustworthiness and suitability are beyond reproach, the Chamberlain of the Imperial House invites the Lady Magister to act as Bodyguard and Tutor to Crown Prince Mandred...
...nothing says we can't take Mandred with us on adventures. Fuck, lets take this and one of the dwarf jobs. No one can speak against that without insulting the Karaz Ankor.

He is five. For at least the next decade everyone in their right mind would speak up against it.
Yeah, taking him on adventures would be bad.
On the other hand it would be by far the best opportunity to take an apprentice we could ever hope for.

Ra Ra Ranaldtin
I thought that was going to be a different link I mean, there was a cat that really was gone in Russia.
Ra Ra Ranaldtin
(Gospodar traditional)

There lived a god or man in Kislev long ago
He was slim and fast, in his eyes a grinning know
Poor people look at him with laughter, rich with fear
But to Kislev chicks he was such a lovely dear
He could preach the Fingers like a preacher
Full of larceny and conspire
But he also was the kind of thiever
Women would desire

RA RA RANALDTIN
Lover of sweet Salyakarin
There was a cat that really was gone
RA RA RANALDTIN
Kislev's greatest love machine
It was a shame how he carried on

[Spoken:]
But when his gambling and lusting and his thieving
For larks became known to more and more people
The demands to do something about this outrageous
Man? became louder and louder

"This man's just got to go!" declared his enemies
But the ladies begged "Don't you try to do it, please"
No doubt this Ranaldtin had lots of hidden charms
Though he was a rogue they just fell into his arms

RA RA RANALDTIN
Lover of sweet Salyakarin
There was a cat that really was gone
RA RA RANALDTIN
Kislev's greatest love machine
He stole it all and said it was fine

I have read through a few of posts discussing the difficulty of securing the Border Princes.

I agree that it would be difficult, but dwarf-made fortresses or fortifications at strategic locations would make that much easier.

These fortresses could be paid for using AV, existing Dwarf Favor, or perhaps this nebulous "support" that Barak Varr is offering.

Furthermore, open terrain is probably the most ideal terrain for very judicious and well-developed use of firearms and cannon, which the Dwarves could supply.

Finally, Matilde is very good (famously good) at fighting orks.

On the other hand, we could totally one up Dragomas' Jade Plaque of Cathayan Alliance with a Gold Plaque of Lizardman Alliance in preparation for stealing his job. Golds more valuable than Jade, right?
Any people carrying any kind of plaque from Lizardmen cities are subject to immediate termination :V

The issue is that Border Princes don't have strategic locations. The place is damn near empty of natural barriers and hotspots that would be usable for fortification and defence.

Basically, it was an absolute textbook perfect scenario for creating a grief-driven vengeance-seeking black Magister, and yet Mathilde stayed true to the cause.
This is basically also why I'm not a fan of the theory that Sigmar let Abel die in order to push Mathilde down the road she has gone.

Because that is a plan that could've gone needlessly wrong in so many ways it doesn't deserve to be rewarded with success. Ranald( God of Gambling) is allowed to gamble that noted Ranaldite Mathilde would do the right thing, even when he risks spawning a Lord-tier Necromancer directly into the Empire. The God in charge of protecting said Empire very much doesn't.

Because that is a plan that could've gone needlessly wrong in so many ways it doesn't deserve to be rewarded with success. Ah, but you see the theory works perfectly if you just posit Sigmar is a moron. :V

I figured, I just enjoy reading the update all at once, so I rather avoid the discussion too and not much to do about it aha. Guess Ill have alot of already done pros and cons later to go through. :p

Just realised that if we take up the High Priestess job and go to Kislev, we could learn a Ranald/Ulgu themed version of the Bearicane spell.

Who's up for a Shadow Catnado?

(Assuming we can learn divine magic, that is. Can we? I actually don't know. Dhar comes from mixing winds, but Heidi has two divine not-winds in her that are not reacting with each other, so maybe Ranald and Ulgu can co-operate within us. Also, Deathfang said we were "Glowing with divine energies" before. Who knows?).

This has been brought up before, we can't because we would have to hold two conflicting mindsets for spellcasting. It would drive Mathy crazy.

We can, but apparently its asking for trouble as the Divine energies of Ranald and Ulgu in our soul vie for dominance. The Ice Witch can presumably do it because Lore of Ice is most likely divine magic in and of itself.

Edit: Ninja'd lol
