Not to distract from the current conversation, but does anyone remember which update it is where Qretch explains Skaven numerology to Mathilde?

Well, I know I pushed pretty hard against an AV powerstone being possible on theoretical grounds, but this is a bit more dramatic than I was expecting. I wonder if we have opened a new, stable portal to the warp.

Since that would be a game over scenario not just for us, but for the entire world, i sincerely doubt that.

I'm going probably going to be worried the entire time until the update. This isn't instant death apparently, but I'm deeply reminded of Boney saying how a 1 while using Substance of Shadow in unsafe conditions where you can't verify there is light or not is an instant quest end.

remember that we only used a gallon of the stuff. I can't imagine that any portal made from it would be very big or last very long—especially since it would be on top of a very large Waystone circle.

About the most benign consequence of this I can imagine would be the line of inquiry being snuffed out, and a major magical accident in K8P, even flushed by the room of calamity, making some waves.

With the attention roll, I feel like a 5-10 range is pretty likely to be aspected to each of the chaos gods, since it includes each of their numbers, so the result of 9 would then imply Tzeentch taking an interest. Could just move the miscast roll up a table, or could be something else whacky and probably awful.

We don't need to finish swording this turn they said, we are only taking safe actions they said. Not that sword mastery would be of help here necessarily, but stil my point about being better safe than sorry still stands.

From what I remember, not all Everchosen candidates are aware they are Everchosen candidates. Its possible Tzeentch looked at what we are doing and decided that they wants to be on us.

While it is possible to turn someone to chaos against their will you cannot really make an unwilling Everchosen, if nothing else the victim can just kill themselves as soon as they get the mark/mutation and there goes the investment

Considering how higher is better, I kinda get why Tzeentch would be a good match for us. I mean, our belt would neglect his opening magic salvo and we are really good at counterspelling Dhar based magics

Boney's posted roll is 1d6+4, 5 was the unmodified die roll.
Huh. Thought it was modified.

Well then.

Fuck.

Don't think that's how it's going to work. I legitimately think we're now currently the greatest possible threat to the waystone project.

Though that might be my tendency to doomsay a lot when shit goes really wrong. But like... This is NOT good in the slightest, and if it goes even worse (if it is Birb-brain), There's good odds for us to be in the line for a burning, depending on the fallout.
