On one hand Ranald is the 4 faced god right? But on the other is the 4 gods of chaos. Though I guess the 4 could be something else entirely

What is a Balcony moment. Google is just showing me royals and pope waving at people i assume it means something different in this context.
It's when you roll a dice and need to fill all possible slots with different things with the sure knowledge, that you'll never roll d6=6 twice in a row, so it can act as a filler. But then you roll 6,6 so now you're in a Balcony looking at the world and wondering how you're ever going to make this work. Maybe add Skavens, it seems to work.

The problem is we don't know what that 9 refers to

It could be Tzeentch from his number

It could be the second-best god, if higher is better (with Ranald being a nat 6) probably a Dawi god, or Shallya

It could be the second-worst god, if lower is better (with ranald being a nat 1) in that case either a chaos god or the rat. rat would probably be best

This is pretty bad, the Asp is basically undefended warp-side. If the Deceiver decides to start applying Chaotic unpleasantness to it there, I don't think we can stop it.

We might be about to lose our source of AV.

Since the dice are apparently in the mood for ratcheting up suspense, I feel it's only fair to inform anyone who might be waiting to see how this plays out that the earliest I'll be able to dedicate the time to get this update done and out is tomorrow.

Yikes. Hopefully Mathilde was smart enough to keep the anything other than the necessary equipment and single gallon of AV away from the blast zone...

(And thank goodness Mathilde always has the Seed and Branulhune on her person, and that Eike wasn't here)

I've been talking about it with @Xepheria elsewhere and probably the most evil non-life threatening result of this would be manifestation of tzeentchian daemon that would promptly hoof it at maximum speed to wherever the Box is and smash it to pieces. :V That would affect our Morb bottom line a lot.

Good news: if it happens in our research area, the Changer of Ways will fail to break the Box. It's in Belegar's best vault, IIRC, and that one survived centuries of Skryre vault-breaking efforts.

Bad news: it could maybe just wreck it from the other side - but maybe not. Remember that the Box contains no actual Warp portals, only mirrors. And IIRC only the Wasp counts those as portals, not other demons.

Worse news: Mathilde, physically and aethyrically injured, could be easy prey for a demon. Wolf could be even worse off, if he's in the area.

Didn't Mathilde move that to her own vault? I recall her complaining about having to move mountains every time she needed to collect a jar of the stuff
