If we are talking militias, IRL most medieval/ early modern cities would have called on a significant part of their population to serve in the defense. With laws in place demanding some time spent training from every eligable citizen and either requiremet to privately own arms or city sponsored armories. This being warhammer, I would expect this policy to be adhered to even more stringently.

The wedding went great! My best man speech was deemed good, dancing and celebrating was had, and I'm now finally somewhat recovered from the stress and driving for many hours and what not. Happy 4th of July! Or happy good day regardless to those, like, five of you who aren't from the US. Hopefully writing can finally, finally return to normal.
