I'm pretty sure I remember halflings clambering over our ogre elites during the Ostermark skaven interlude, picking out warpstone bullets.

Man. I have been either socially engaged IRL or been taking a family member to a medical facility for an appointment what feels like every single day for most of this month. I'm barely even going to be home at all until Monday, and even then, I've got to give a good speech at a wedding next Saturday in another state, so, like...

This sort of thing is why me having a Patreon or whatever would never work out because holy crap. I am just so sorry, guys. Seriously. My mind boils with things I want to write, I just can't seem to muster the time or attention that it needs these past few weeks.

Torroar I'm aware some might take the concept as insulting, so I apologize if that's the case, but I would do the same.

There's also the kofi thing, which is a case by case business as opposed to a set and scheduled one.

Tomorrow morning I drive to a far off state to attend a wedding. On 4th of July weekend. Here's hoping I won't get into any accidents or get pulled over while driving or anything, and that I do my speech okay, and that the drive back will be safe. I'll be distant but possibly available on my phone in limited capacity. Hope to be home sometime on late Sunday, and then I can finally be hopefully back to writing properly.

If we're talking about the scenario of High Elves attacking Marienburg because of certain theoretical piracy actions, then id argue it might actually lessen the damage. Iirc the attack gets worse because they resisted thinking the elves were attacking the city, instead of just one pirate and his crew.

If we're talking about beastmen and/or skaven, then what city? i see no city. only a pile of rubble. :V
 
More realistically, That Elf Admiral will just sail in and for an HIgh Elf be reasonable and demand reparations and the guilty brought to justice. But right now it's probably not going to happen, what with 4 Black Arc's wandering around. 2 unknown and 2 in Sakaltan.

As much as I would love for it to happen. I doubt the Admiral is going to be able to catch those ships since they will be retreating pretty fast back to Naggaroth. Or maybe he will and someone will have a very bad day.

Ideally because the man is caught and thrown to the metaphorical wolves, as opposed to Marienburg's defenders reflexively fighting back, unknowing of what Otto did. Possibly with some other form of compensation.
 
I think people are forgetting, this is a city we're talking about, in warhammer. While I have no doubt that all threee armies were more or less spent in equal parts army, guard, navy and adventuring, it would honestly be even more ridiculous if all of their armies functioned as guards, which they aren't.

All this means, is that Otto has an immensely augmented force from the first Navy that he stole from the empire.

Outside of those mercenary armies, their actual policemen are the The Black Caps, which would be the ones operating and patrolling the city, and the most likely ones to shoot at Aislinn, without bringing up any lingering or entirely new mercenary companies that would have formed up in the past three months, or the locals that suddenly see a bunch of High Elves just suddenly start showing up with an army at their home looking fairly angry about something.

don't forget about the militias , odds are the various nobles houses , guilds and merchant princes all have private troops acting as militiamen
