We have a ConnieBee and the Rennie Prototype finishing in 2314Q1, and then no new cruisers till 2317Q1. With the proposed ConnieBee, we'll have a cruiser in 2315Q1 to tide us over till the first wave of Rennies is done. Hopefully, we can sort our crew situation out enough by then to arrange cruiser construction into a more rolling schedule, like with the Explorers instead of this 'wave' style construction schedule it's on now.

Three empty years of Cruiser construction isn't three completely empty years, as we do have two Excelsiors due in 2315, and we'll likely commission more the next few years. It's not like we're slowing down. This coming year will be an aberration with 31 defense gained, but getting followed by two 16 years and the 12 from the Excelsior's ain't bad. Even if we have D10s and up from this point forward, which I doubt, our actual defense vs defense needs positive difference, even without non-mobile assests, will continue to grow.
Edit: Although, that does remind me - how many of the ships under construction are earmarked for the Exploration Corps? I also included the Rennie prototype as an 'to be active ship', which being a prototype, might have been a bad idea. That would drop 2314 to +11 instead of +16, before EC.

Only for Cruisers - which until we had the Connie-B we weren't building any Cruisers anyway so it is a return to the building schedules at the start of the quest - max Explorers and Escorts/Escort refits.
So here's a proposed fleet distribution over the next 9 months. Comment and criticize and let me know how you think it should shift. Note that I'm trying to pay attention to where ships actually are and avoid them having to cross the entire Federation when they get reassigned.
Q3 2311 done with current fleet and no new ships
Q2 2312 adds 3 Constitution-B + 1 Oberth, but some number of Mirandas may go into refit (for purpose of this plan I assume 2 go into refit.)

Actually, those defense requirements - did you raise some of them deliberately, or did @OneirosTheWriter give you updates that aren't on the front page? Amarkia is D9, Ferasa is D12, and Rigel/SBZ are undefined - although I'd accept D9 as an educated guess.
Edit: Also, we are getting an Excelsior in Q1. Is that skipped due to it going to the Explorer Corps?
Edit2: I'd like to see a few ships in the Apinae Sector, even if it's a D0. In addition, I do like how we have an Excelsior in each border area. However, there is one area that doesn't - Rigel, as there isn't a coreward border zone from it, and we really don't know what's out there. Maybe the next Excelsior that's free, or a ConnieB from Q4 could go there.

I'd leave the Kearsage in the Task force. We have lots of ships in the CBZ, and I tend to like larger ships there anyway. The Task force is a great place for more Constellations.

Could we move the new Oberth onto either Romulan or Klingon intelligence? I really think getting more information about what's going on there is going to be important.
But with an Oberth there we have a chance to get better anti-Syndicate intel and maybe, hopefully, whittle them down some more before the latest round of Klingon vs Romulan kicks off. *crosses fingers*

Assuming the front page is up to date, we currently have 4. We need more of this type of vessel, but they are so specialised, fitting them in with everything else we need is an issue.
The current overall plan is a new science vessel hull is likely to be worked out after the Ambassador class Explorer moves out of theory space.

- I'd like the Centaur-As to be spread out a bit more for event coverage, every sector without Excelsior should get one if possible.
- The Syndicate Taskforce benefits very much from high enlisted ships because enlisted translate to ground team hp, rotating out the Zephyr makes much more sense than the Kearsage and we might consider assigning another Constellation as well, or perhaps rotate both out in Q4 and replace them with two different Constellations because I think they both already took hp losses, not sure how hp recovery works and whether teams gather experience for this particular kind of mission.
- I don't think assigning an Oberth there is a good idea, the Syndicate seems to be the sort of opponent that might create a diversion for the ships accompanying it and then capture/destroy it so it seems a bit risky, and we don't have much of an indication that it would be all that useful, given that we have listening posts in the area and the Yukikaze has sensors almost as good.
- Not a fan of single ship sector fleets (or Miranda pair fleets either), I'd be happier with a Centaur-A + a Miranda for Rigel if we can't spare more. Connie-B + Miranda would be fine if we can.
