Well, I'd have liked to have gotten a little further with the Renaissance model before it launches, but RL commitments have unfortunately taken up too much time. Windows are hard, because you have to cut into the mesh...
Anyone have ideas for names for the dedication plaque, or are we still on the old style? Would the Admiral be Kahurangi or Sousa?

We should have started with 27 resilience this year, not 17. 2312 started with 10 resilience, and we gained 15+2 resilience throughout 2312.
I'm assuming that like 2309.Q2 legislation, 2313.Q2 legislation amendment takes effect this year, which means +9 impact and +5 resilience and -2 Syndicate's resilience this year.

No, I had not intended for them to be attached to this year's value.

Missing Yan-Ros 0.1 affiliation - historically, all new affiliation crew income takes effect the year of the affiliation.

Added this in.

@OneirosTheWriter I've asked you a few times, but can you please, please check the UP Berth A and UP Berth C builds again? I really think you have it written down wrong and that they would be ETC 2315.Q2 - Crews deduct 2314.Q2. Please go back and take a look at when we commissioned them.

Alright, I've altered that in the master sheet to 2315.Q2/2314.Q2.

With apologies to @Leila Hann , I do not like Kom Zerf as a name. Poking around Memory Beta, I've decided to cast a vote for Phinda, one of the moons of Tellar.

EDIT: But then I remembered that at the same time Ato came up with 'Rru'adorr,' the name of the floating palace of that mythical sorceror-king who wandered ancient Ferasa to prove the existence of love... He also came up with 'Voshev,' as mentioned in his post a ways down from here.

Editing accordingly.

[X][CREW1] Explorer Corps
[X][NAME1] USS Voshev
[X][CREW2] Standard Starfleet

I have to say that I found this line especially hilarious.

Who needs a spy agency when the info's right there.. except that it'd probably be ridiculously unbelievable to all that aren't experienced with the Federation?

Can the GBZ make up with a slightly weaker force right now? The refits don't take that long, do they?

Actually the Mirandas are not used in the GBZ but instead as garrison ships in several sectors thus taking them away for a refit would either leave those sectors below their defence requirement or would need a massive redeployment away from the GBZ. And I think those refits still take one year (+maybe the time needed for actually reaching the shipyard but I am not to sure there)

Might there be a Snakepit option for a Crew infusion?

There has been none so far other than the standard academy expansion (at least I think so). All of the drives etc.- seem to be focused on the Explorer crops.

You could probably do it via a deal with the Hawks or Expansionists but I am petty sure those are already intended to be used for something else.

[X][NAME1]Voshev
[X][CREW2] Standard Starfleet
[X][NAME2]Rru'adorr

Voshev, meaning a duststorm that breaks the tops of dunes, is the name of the first steam powered Tellarite land crawler to make long distance journies across the salt flats of southern Tellar. Its construction lead to a new era of trade and communication between the Tellarite peoples, laying the foundations of planetary unification. Later star vessels were also named Voshev in it's honour.

...Oh hey I forgot Voshev!

Okay, I'm changing my vote. For NAME1 as a Tellarite ship we have "Kom Zerf" as the frontrunner (bandwagony) and @Ato's "Voshev" as the other contestant. In the interests of not splitting the vote, how about we have Rru'adorr be the NAME2 vote, Ato?

You know, I would be happy to vote for a Caitain name... but isn't there something easier to pronounce then "Rru'adorr"? I just doesn't roll off the tongue.

Proposal:
[][NAME1] Surranon

Surranon translates to roughly something like "loyalty" in the Caitian language, but it's also a pun in that many Caitain names have been based off the word and hence many famous individuals. S'rrnon is a sort of mythic king figure, known for their righteousness. S'rrenen was the name of a famous philosopher. R'rranon was one of the earliest astronauts. The name evokes them all.

[][NAME2] Turlough

'Turlough' is the name of the most famous architect-engineer in Indorian history. He advocated an artistic style of towers that has come to dominate much of their construction, and he also made the engineering breakthroughs in materials that made them possible. (He was also an inveterate lech and scoundrel by Indorian standards, but it seems to amuse them.)

What are you talking about? There are two double r's in it, the whole name is one long rolling-off-the-tongue. :p

I pronounce it Rue-a-door, but with the r's rolled. :)

I like. Will file 'Turlough' away for consideration soon, once we've got Tellarite and Caitian-named explorers.

Attention everyone, I have updated my vote to @lbmaian's "6 Renaissance" verison of the plan. I'm willing to wait an extra couple of quarters to start two of them. Also my vote now has the new names I suggested.

I think the crew issue finally broke the back of the "six ship Reniassance wave". You're going to have to be satisfied with starting 4 instead and some Centaur-As, carefully staggered so they won't crew until next year. Note, that is why the Centaurs aren't allowed to start earlier than Q3. So they don't crew this year.

EDIT: Updated to @lbmaian 6-Reniassance plan that still lets us get six Reniassances started. Still have to keep the SF berths starting no earlier than Q4.

[X][BUILD] 2314 6 Renaissance, 2 Miranda-A refits
  • SF Berth A - No new build.
  • SF Berth 1 - Begin Renaissance in 2314.Q4 (no earlier) as double build using Chen's bonus (ETC 2317.Q1)
  • SF Berth 2 - Begin Renaissance in 2314.Q4 (no earlier)as double build using Chen's bonus (ETC 2317.Q1)
  • 40 Eridani Berth A - No new build.
  • 40 Eridani Berth B - Occupied
  • 40 Eridani Berth 1 - Begin refit of Intrepid in 2314.Q3
  • 40 Eridani Berth 2 - Begin refit of Eketha in 2314.Q3
  • Ana Font Berth A - Occupied
  • Ana Font Berth 1 - Begin Renaissance Build in 2314.Q2 (ETC 2317.Q2)
  • LOCF Berth A - Occupied
  • LOCF Berth 1 - Occupied
  • UP Berth A - Occupied
  • UP Berth B - Occupied
  • UP Berth C - Occupied
  • UP Berth 1 - Begin Renaissance in 2314.Q2 as triple build using Chen's bonus (ETC 2316.Q3)
  • UP Berth 2 - Begin Renaissance in 2314.Q2 as triple build using Chen's bonus (ETC 2316.Q3)

What are you talking about? There are two double r's in it, the whole name is one long rolling-off-the-tongue. :p

I pronounce it Rue-a-door, but with the r's rolled. :)

This is pretty much how it was intended.
Technically you could just render it as Ruador. The extra r's and apostraphe were to make it look thematically similar to the Caitian names we have already seen.

It's risky crew wise and means a six month delay but dammit I want that wave of half a dozen Renaissances!

Eyup. For starters with how tightly the Fed keeps Warp Core stuff locked down I'd expect that everyone giving details is either full of it or one of Leslie's boys planting misinformation.

Well, warp cores are top secret and everyone knows they are, and civilian designs appear to be a loooong way behind the military state of the art. Plus, you can't learn much about how a ship's warp core functions unless you observe it up close; it's inside the ship.

There'd be no need to disseminate misinformation in an online community, because it's much like the secrets of nuclear weapon design. Everyone in the community knows that anyone who does have that information is keeping it secret, so no one actually expects to learn any of it.

A lot of other stuff is less sensitive, and/or easier to figure out, and that's where the deliberate misinformation kicks in. You can't necessarily stop the truth from leaking out entirely, so you generate a bodyguard of lies.

Oh, I thought we had already built a Voshev.
If we did, we wouldn't need a Tellarite-named explorer, now would we? ;)
