Hm. Mercantile is the Rigellians, maybe combine that with coins or something?

Expansionists is hard. Maybe someone surfing on a starship?
 
Expansionist should be an Andorian or human playing with model starships making rocket/airplane noises.

Mercantile should be a magnificently cloaked rigellian sitting atop a towering throne of gold.

Expansionists... the signature shape of a spiral galaxy in the palm of a humanoid hand. Kind of like what JesseJ suggested, but I think a spiral galaxy is more recognizable.

Merchantile... a starship traveling along a rainbow path to a pot of gold(-pressed latinum) at the end.
 
Expansionists should just be a friendly biophage sweeping across a representation of the galaxy. EDIT: or a humanoid hand pouring rootbeer on the galaxy!

BTW who did the 'serious' ones? I quite like those ones too obviously, particularly the Hawks.

(I like to imagine each party uses both and when they're meming the less serious logo shows up, because that's a feature on future twitter: enable sarcasm/jk mode)

Expansionists should be a proud-looking human or Andorian with arms full of tiny versions of all the other species.

Also if we research Colony Cores 2330s before the decade is out, we can reasonably claim to have computers 20 years ahead of our competition. And it will only take 3-4 years to complete, so yay for pushing duotronic equipment to the very limits! Of course, we'll have a lot of backfilling to do, but ehhh, such is the price of sprinting ahead to grasp such a tasty treat.

Also the expansionist logo should be that for the federation itself, surrounded by arrows pointing outwards through the boundary of the starfield.
