I have been trying to get a flagship class named after mountains since before we even designed the NX. Please do not let me keep waiting. :(

[X] UFS Beagle, named after ships of exploration.

Because dog. Yeah it's named after an actual ship, but I want to see a trend of animal names and other species' reaction to this madlad of a ship sharing the same name as a droopy canine.
 
I guess the experimental and prototype rolls almost all going reasonable to good really saved this ships cost effectivity in the end. On the plus side, with all the new tech Starship spacecraft will in future be able to be much larger then before while staying agile enough. Guess that might allow for some interesting future classes now making use of this proven technology.

Still, if a roll or two had been worse, this ship would have probably slid down in assessment. So certainly something to keep in mind for craft in the future.
 
After the retrospective update (and art update) I plan on a break for Christmas. Not only because Christmas, but also anti-burn out and I need to do TOS ship research because I don't really have a solid grasp of the aesthetic.

"Reasonable. Given the now available industry, and lack of war effort it's only logical. I presume you've developed multiple specialized ships to handle the duties efficiently?"

*Screeching noise*

"What is that?"

"Our Designing Bureau. Just ignore them and they'll quiet down eventually."

"...Very well. As I was saying would It be appropriate to see the new hulls before I leave? I presume you've already began."

"You didn't see it coming in? They're somewhat hard to miss."

*Ponders* "I'm afraid not. I only saw some space stations hulls under construction unfortunately."

"We arn't laying down any space stations."

"Oh."

This site maybe of interest to you.

Particularly the Federation TOS section.
Not only does it contain canon designs and those produced in the Franz Joseph manual but also those from a myriad of trek games, other books/manuals and a massive number of fan designs that range from kitbash to truly inspired (obviously there's more than a bit of rubbish in there, but there's also quite a few very interesting designs).

It also provides sources for them where possible.
