Was Taylor translating for Hunts-The-Ice or did Miss Militia understand Draconic(which I think he and Taylor were using)? Definitely enjoyed the double feature. Maybe Carol can start treating Amy better. Honestly that woman, hell that entire family(Dallon) needs to be seeing a councilor.
I'm pretty sure she was translating.

Eh, it's D&D. It has a revolving door afterlife. You didn't have Amy ambushed by devils recruiting for the Blood War, so I'm fine.
Well, she's not really a terrible person, so you'd imagine she'd be safe from the hells, but that makes me wonder if the Wall of the Faithless is a thing in this world. If it is, it needs to be torn down ASAP.

Carol crossed the line. Carol got called out on it. Carol might get her self turned around.

Amy, Carol's victim, payed the price.

Back in first edition, being brought back from the dead carried a price tag; the permanent loss of constitution. I don't know if this is still the case, but if it is, then Amy shall continue to pay for Carol's misdeeds.

Eh, it's D&D. It has a revolving door afterlife. You didn't have Amy ambushed by devils recruiting for the Blood War, so I'm fine. The interesting thing will be if she talks about her mostly-dead experience - don't Tiamat and Bahamut think Tamara is dead?

Who better to meet a dying healer then a dead God of Healing?

"I did not expect him to be intelligent," Miss Militia answered. "That changes many things. For one, even though he may not care, he's considered a member of the First Nations of Canada, and therefore, a citizen. Which means he has all the rights thereof.

Aren't there some rules about Canadian First Nations members having automatic rights to also live in the US?

On a somewhat unrelated note, just how bad does someone have to fuck up when their own dumb muscle decides to hand them over to law enforcement, almost literally gift-wrapped, in order to save their own skins?

Answer: Skidmark levels of fucked up. Let's face it, he ASKED for this.....

Yes, Bahamut and Tiamat think Tamara has passed. This will change.

So no mention from Amy of what happened on the other side.
And
Kind of interesting that the Dragon knew her mother (or knew of) and the song that has been in the back of Amy's mind for ever.
So is Tamara and Amy's Mother a Pern Dragon
or just a fan of Anne McCaffrey

Tamara is likely a fan, and likes the song.
However, Amy's birth mother was probably a fan of Anne McCaffrey.

Taylor was translating for Hunts. I just didn't want to start repeating everything. The anime GATE does it in an amusing fashion; the character doing the translating adds a "they said."

I dunno why they'd need to talk to their city councillor. However, there's a lot of talking with the family counselor in the future. :)

That I would have to check on, but I wouldn't doubt it.

For those of you wondering what's happening regarding the mentioned topics (Is Amy a Dragon? What about Bakuda? What's stopping the E88 from getting arrested en masse?" Etc.)
The first gets answered in the next couple of postings. Bakuda and the ABB get dealt with in section 5. The Rise and Fall of the E88 happens after that, and may involved someone who sings. A lot.

I'd say "Worm didn't have rules against resurrection powers", but if they did like Hero as much as they seemed to, it'd seem odd that Cauldrumvirate not Path to finding any who got such a power to get Hero back. On the other hand, blocking such Thinkering as would be needed seems like another possible power. *shrug*

Woo, revolving-door afterlife. *waves flag* Boo, deities butting in.

When does Amy get to be a Beast with this flower in a jar?

EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!! TWO POSTS!
I suspect you're going to be unable to give me a lift once Carol finds out you've recorded the argument.

YAY! COMMON SENSE!
Carol was on the verge of crying, probably having just realized what she had done.

Well, at least she's not completely whacked in the head.
Amy's problems had started soon after she had left her house. She'd been following the directions on her phone when the battery had run out. Thus, when her sister had flown by, she was already off the most direct route, and she was getting lost rather quickly. She sighed to herself. I should've had Vicky fly me over. I'm in trouble, and I'm only getting in deeper.

Oh no.
hit her. Without a cry, Amy fell to the ground as if she was a puppet whose strings had been cut.

OH SHIT!
"Mostly," the woman corrected with a smile. "But mostly dead means that you are still partly alive. What do you have to live for, Amy?"

Well, if you're going to be in the afterlife, you're going to have enough time for everything.
Before her was a wingless dragon made of burnished platinum, a creature of grace and elegance who radiated kindness and mercy. "You have served me well in the past, Panacea, healing all who needed it." The creature spoke with the woman's voice and was still kind and caring. "Continue to do so, and that will be enough. And do not be reluctant to receive payment for doing so. Healers need to eat and see to their own needs, too."

Yay! More common sense!
"I only have one meager gift to give you before you go,"

Meager for you, who is both dragon and goddess. For a human? Ehhhh...
Miss Militia had seen many things in her life, but a dragon acting like an excited puppy was not one of them.

Well, he is quite young.
the sudden spike in her heart rate and breathing.

Yeah, remebering dying is going to leave you twitchy at the very least.
Your mother and aunt seemed intent on continuing an argument until they were removed by your father and her husband.

Damn it Carol.
Amy carefully reached over and brought a lock of hair up to be examined. "So I do. I wonder if that's a side effect of what happened?"

"You were dead, Ames," Vicky deadpanned.

That sort of thing leaves a mark. On a side note, I wonder if her hair will be able to re style itself?
"Aww, they're kinda cute!" exclaimed Vicky. "They even got the new details right!"

"That's both awesome and freaky," Amy agreed quietly.

Kinda like Jane's in any shipgirl universe.
"It's a platinum peony," she continued. "The flower represents healing, and again, the person who sent this doesn't do subtle well, either."

She is both dragon and goddess. Neither are known for subtlety, unless part of their portfolio. Together?
At this point, things got confusing, as they often did when Naurelin got involved.

Dragons and magic often leave people tripping over the light fantastic.
On the ground wrapped like a mummy in a sleeping bag and rope was Skidmark, leader of the gang called the Archer's Bridge Merchants. He was wearing both a blindfold and a ball gag.

Pfft.
"This idiot effectively put out a hit on Panacea," he said. "' Kill that thing that killed our guys and anyone who helps it,' were his instructions. I decided it would be best if I turned him in because I do not want to be visited by every cape from the Triumvirate on down who had been healed multiple times by her and pounded into a pile of bloody scrap defending this idiot.

"I decided I wanted to live to see the end of the week, so after talking with Mush, I blindsided him, knocked him out, tied him up and brought him here. He doesn't need to see to apply his powers, but without keeping them in sight, they fade out in under a minute. The gag is because I got tired of listening to him."

And finally, to round things off, one last helping of common sense. Now if you'll excuse me, I'm having home made pancakes.
